The hulk of metal flew across the area and slammed into a nearby rock. Midori got up as Duncan landed back onto his feet. The little fox wasted no time as she lunged toward the fallen Knight with her sword swarming with red and green Elemental Energy.
Midori hopped on top of a large rock and jumped upwards, causing the rock to shatter. She then held her sword above her left shoulder while the blade was engulfed with a green light with streaks of red.
"Third Seed: Triple Fanged Reptile!" shouted Midori, diving straight at the shrieking Knight.
Three visages of bright green fangs appeared on the Knight's body before Midori landed far from her target. Duncan knew it was his turn as he ran towards the Knight, stabbing the scythe into the ground to fling himself towards the Knight.
The Knight got out his sword to slash Duncan but was halted because of the boy's first strike. Duncan was surprised that Lancelot was that powerful in his strike as the Knight swung his blade, causing Duncan to fly off into the distance. Midori had no choice but to step in again.
The fox child had no choice but to go in for the kill, using her quick attacks to wear down the Knight by striking his armor first. The girl carefully listened to Lancelot's movements, and Midori found the Knight's Elemental Core with Mordred's observant eyes.
For most of the Knights, their Elemental Cores are at their chest, similar to the position of a human heart. This was the same for Lancelot, and Midori used that fact to her advantage. Midori got ready to strike again with her sword consumed by high amounts of green and red Elemental Energy.
Lancelot was tired of Midori's random attacks and roared while slamming a foot down, causing Midori to lose balance during the attack. Then, when he was about to stab Midori's head, Duncan appeared behind the Knight, angrier than ever.
"Get your hands away from my sister!" shouted the boy as he focused his strength on his kick towards the Knight's head.
Midori could only widen her eyes in fear as Duncan's kick obliterated the Knight's head. Not decapitated from the neck but destroyed, with the Knight's skull shattering into pieces and his brains exploding.
Duncan quickly scooped his sister away as the Knight collapsed with a loud clang, blood spilling from his neck. Though it was apparent to Midori that the Knight was dead, Duncan was still wary. Even Mordred was scared of the boy after what she had seen.
"Hey... I didn't expect that boy's got enough strength to do that to a head... Let alone the head of a Knight from the Round Table... Ask if his foot is broken or something," asked Mordred, as Duncan held up his blade.
Before the fox child could say anything, the Knight started getting back up despite having no head. Lancelot's neck had red threads protruding out as if he was trying to create another head. Midori was ready to cry, while Mordred was ready to fight.
"That's no longer a Knight... That's a demon!" yelled Mordred as the twins saw the monster returning to life.
"Midori, ask Mordred if there's any way of defeating the Knight of the Lake. Like, a weakness against Arondight or something. Maybe that advice still applies even if he looks like a monster now. It's worth a shot because I've got nothing else now," asked Duncan, jumping back into battle.
"You heard him, Mordred. Anything that could weigh the monster down or kill him?" asked Midori as Duncan slashed the Knight to stop the healing.
"How am I supposed to know?! He didn't die by my hands, so I've got no clue what's his weakness! Hell, that Knight doesn't even know my true face or the fact that I'm the King's son! How am I supposed to know what's the guy's weakness?!" yelled Mordred.
"But do you remember anything useful about the man? Something... Anything that we can use against him?!" asked Midori desperately.
"If he were speaking terms, I'd taunt that philandering Knight about his affair with the Queen. But, for now, I'm still trying to process this thing! So the only thing I have for you is that he is the foster child of the Lake! So he's got the blessing from the Lady Of the Lake."
"So by fighting here, you both are at a severe disadvantage. For the part about killing him, you have to give me some more time..." replied Mordred.
Midori sighed as she quickly grabbed her blade to join her twin in the next round of assault. The Knight's head was fully grown back, and Duncan tried to slash him again. However, Lancelot had the edge with his immense strength.
