Chapter 695 - The Ark Of Hydra And Brine King Vs Tidal Blossoms

Bryan then passed the bullet to Ashley and gave a thumbs up.

"If this works out as well as the previous time, I might want to work with you more often on Missions," said Bryan, grinning.

"I'm sure the two spells will work out perfectly. However, I don't think I can join you for future Missions since being over here causes too much stress for Mavislin... So let's not waste more time and bring this flowery Mage to his knees," Ashley replied.

"The ends of the world are fire. The horizon is beyond the waters of our kingdom. The future is here. The Salt Sea kingdom of the ocean will never fall! Land the waves of terror, feel the wrath of the Brine King!" chanted Ashley as he loaded up the bullet and took aim at the standing Mage.

"Sinless Utopia: Tidal Blossoms," finished Merlin as he plucked out his staff to swing at his opponents.

A massive slash of bright pink petals came from the staff and barrelled towards the duo Pillars. But Ashley could see a few seconds before the tear occurred and could fire before Merlin's attack could touch them.

"Revenge of the Brine King!" called out Ashley.

The two spells merged, causing the bullet to shake violently. Then, as the shell soared through the air, it exploded upon impact as it clashed with Merlin's attack. The more superior tsunami instantly pulverized the bright pink wave, triggering Bryan's spell.

"Stars Of the Sea Serpent; Hydra!" shouted Bryan as the emblem of the Hydra Constellation glowed on the giant wall of water.

A colossal sea serpent made out of water came from the wall of water. The monster was transparent and had nine heads. Merlin widened his eyes as he was forced to look at the terrifying beast of Greek and Roman Mythos; Hydra.

"Oh, this isn't looking good for me..." murmured Merlin as he quickly made himself vanish into flower petals.

The Hydra was slightly late in its attack as all nine of its heads vomited poisoned water onto Merlin's position. By the time both spells had dispersed, Merlin was gone, leaving only pink petals flying.

"I had no clue that you can summon beasts to help you... I wouldn't have needed to come to your aid," complained Ashley, cracking his spine.

"I can only use Constellations with Beasts a few times before my Elemental Energy goes low. And besides, using the Constellation of the Hydra takes up lesser Elemental Energy than any Constellation of the Twelve Zodiacs..." Bryan replied as he walked over to Merlin's spot.

The Slayer promptly stomped on the fallen flower petals and squashed them in anger.

"I should have known Merlin was a master of running away..." grumbled Bryan as Ashley raised an eyebrow.

"Why are you so angry at him?"

"He wasn't supposed to be here... According to the data, he was to be Briton, having tea with the Baron."

"Why did Merlin appear here when he was supposed to be at Briton?" asked Ashley, tilting his head.

"We are standing in the physical form of Brocéliande... The resting place and tomb of Merlin within the stories of Arthurian Legends. This place has a surplus of Elemental Energy to covet from, so you can use this place to recuperate without making Mavislin work too hard," said Bryan.

Ashley nodded and began to allow the natural flow of Elemental Energy of the area to flow into his body while Bryan continued his explanation.

"So, Merlin returning here would make sense because we have trampled upon his grave by accident. That Mage has every right to be angry at us, yet he looked amused at how we could defeat Gawain so quickly."

"But why would the humans claim Merlin is dead if Merlin himself did not have a proper death?

"From what I've seen in the Mages circle, no one knew that Merlin was still active," said Bryan, as his scythes vanished.

"Not being active doesn't equal being dead. There's a big difference. But from what I can tell, Merlin might not have anything to do with the revived Knights of the Round Table."

"Why do you presume so? He didn't deny that accusation when I asked him..."

"We didn't give Merlin any chance to reply to your accusation. But it's safe to say that he might not have known what was going on since he is known to be a hermit after Camelot collapsed."

Ashley wanted to continue his explanation, but the eye with his emblem was suddenly shining, blocking his vision. The eye stung as the Marksman clutched it.

"It's Mavislin... She's calling me, and Rina needs help. Do you want to come along?" asked Ashley as he rubbed his eye.

Bryan said nothing as he summoned his scythes and nodded at Ashley.
