"All you think about is sleep... Pretty boring for a dead man, right?" asked Gillian as a page flew in front of Ashley.
"Hey! I have overworked my whole life from birth to death, so I deserve a good bed and eternal rest... After I've helped my favorite boss with her tasks," retorted Ashley.
"The Knight Of Lamentation... The one who left the Knights of the Round Table and ultimately led to the fall of Camelot. It is said that his entire life was a tragedy from start to finish. Without love or redemption, I bring thee to him... Focus and open the gates!"
The sheet of paper transformed into a large door with an imprint of a bow that looked like a harp. Ashley did not hesitate to walk up to the door and gripped the handle.
"Okay, let's get the twins for the next one... Duncan and Midori, here are your Signal Crystals. Remember what I've said and stick together. Even if you quarrel, I want you both to come back together. This will be your first Mission, so don't die on me, alright?"
"I've seen how well you've performed against Bryan and Rina during the duels and am positive that you will win, but you need to cooperate. Can you do that for me?" asked Mavislin, crouching to meet the children's gaze.
"That goes for the two spirits within you kids; The Ankou and the Knight of Rebellion. Your target is the Knight of the Lake, Lancelot. He is a formidable opponent, so be careful."
The twins nodded as they squeezed each other's hands for encouragement. Gillian nodded as a page flew out.
"The Knight of the Lake... The one who was given the blessing of the Lady of the Lake and Arondight. He was also the one to make forbidden love to the King's wife, invoking the start of the end for the Round Table Knights... So hone in and open the gates!" shouted Gillian, sounding tired.
The page turned into a blue door with a purple picture of Arondight, the same sword that Midori had summoned against Duncan.
"Oh? Are you getting tired, Gillian?" asked Mavislin, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course I am! I'm using more Elemental Energy than usual because of this special request! Unfortunately, focusing on a person rather than an area is extremely complicated because I don't recall meeting with any of the Knights of the Round Table..."
"So, will those doors open up to the correct locations?"
"Yes, I have no doubt my spell will work, but I'm going to be drained after this... I need a nap; maybe your Marksman has a point about sleeping..." grumbled Gillian, sounding half dead.
"See? I told you, sleep is good..."
"And so is not butting into conversations," spat Gillian while Ashley pretended not to hear.
"Enough, let's continue with the next door. So before you go in, there is something I would like to give you, Slayer Verna," said Mavislin, going over to the corner of the room and picking up the sheath of Avalon.
"Turn around for me..." said the Valkyrie as the Slayer looked puzzled.
Mavislin focused her hands on the sheath and pressed it into Bryan's back. The Slayer could not help but cry in agony as the foreign object entered his body and activated his Elemental Core. The Slayer felt his body burn up as his Elemental Energy levels skyrocketed.
"Sorry, I didn't know that the sheath of King Arthur would have such an effect on you... Are you okay, Bryan?" asked Mavislin, rushing to hold Bryan upright.
"I'm... trying to be... fine, but I haven't felt like this ever since... I had that fight with..."
"If it's going to be so painful for you, I don't think I should give you this equipment..." mumbled Mavislin, trying to take out the relic.
"No! It's alright... Just give me some time... You can proceed with the chant first while I take some time to... Get used to this scorching sensation..." said Bryan, putting up a brave front so the twins won't get scared.
"Very well... It should be painful since Avalon is trying to establish contact with Excalibur within a human's body. That burning sensation you are feeling is your internal wounds and scars sewn up because Excalibur is nearby. Nevertheless, you will be fine," assured the Headmaster.
Bryan could only muster a nod as Mavislin stepped back, and a piece of paper flew in front of the Slayer.
"Slayer Verna, you are going up against the Knight of the Sun, Gawain. That man mainly uses the Element of the Sun, so you've got that information to work on... Know that you can only engage battle with him when the Sun goes down," instructed Mavislin.
Bryan weakly nodded as Gillian began his chant.
