"My father never acknowledged me as an equal nor his son. I fought so many wars for him, and he never turned to look me in the eye. So, of course, I was going to do something to gain the King's attention rather than waste my life and effort away for people who never saw me as a Knight."
"Besides, if anyone's to blame for King Arthur's death besides the obvious would be either Tristan or Gawain. Since the Knight of the Sun forbade Lancelot from participating in the Battle of Camlann, leaving the Round Table one less Knight than usual."
"The Knight of Bow left early because he knew the fate of the Kingdom by a person who did not know or understand human emotions. And because the Knight of Lamentation left Camelot early, it caused distress to the rest of the Knights, leading Lancelot to break his sanity."
"How so? I thought Lancelot was known to be the lover of King Arthur's Queen, so what is it got to do with poor Tristan?" asked Raiyen, confused about the Round Table's affairs.
"That affair only started after Tristan left the Round Table. Because of the Knight of Lamentation's words, Lancelot wanted to release the burden of the King. That's what Agravain told me after I've passed on, but I don't know if it's the truth."
"So the Knight of the Lake thought the best way to release the King from his burdens would be to have an affair with the queen?! What kind of messed up organization was running the kingdom of Britannia?!"
"This ordeal makes Old Man Pond's destruction of the Congregation seem like child's play!" exclaimed Raiyen, getting worked up about how Camelot fell.
"That didn't happen the way you think it would. It wasn't a direct link... Lancelot wanted to confide in someone to help the King with his burdens and asked the Queen for help. One thing led to another, and the two fell in love. Agravain and I learned about it and used it to provoke the King."
"However, coming back to Tristan's words... I agree with that archer, only after the King had rejected me and saw me as the 'Son of the witch.'"
"Our King does not understand the human heart... Yea, I read Sir Tristan's parting words from the archives. I agree with the bowman after reading through the recorded battle of Camlann. So many of the stories said the King didn't listen to the hearts of her people."
"A king who wishes to uphold the perfect image should be down to her kingdom and listening to what the people had wanted. But, sadly, the King was too perfect, leading to her demise. Though she was the King for a period, Artoria never learned how to grow up from her naive nature."
"However annoyed I am with this Promised King, I'm still hell-bent on the fact that Merlin was trying to use you to kill the King for a different purpose," said the Valkyrie, her voice lowering at the last sentence.
"What do you mean? Are you saying Merlin was to blame for everything that happened at Camlann?" asked Mordred, looking shocked.
Mavislin cursed as she had forgotten Mordred was still in Midori's body and had perfect hearing.
"Merlin was a Mage who could look into the distant future, so he knew the King would reject you and you would incite a rebellion. That Dream Mage could've prevented everything, yet he didn't. I talked with him once, and he sounded carefree as if he wanted the rebellion to happen."
"Merlin was so unhinged that I couldn't take it. So, Mage's grand plan of Britannia was to use King Arthur and the Round Table to expand the kingdom and take down the neighboring nations. I couldn't have allowed that to happen since it would be like world domination."
"It's not fair for the rest of the world who was minding their own business and building up their kingdoms. Thus, if it's a rebellion he wanted, then it's a rebellion he is going to get. Stealing Clarent was easy but enchanting the blade was difficult since it kept rejecting my Magecraft."
"But I found that I have to use another Element; the Clarent was recreated to fit Mordred's fighting style. As for Avalon, that was much thicker since it had the protection from the Lady Of the Lake. But after a sweet talk and dinner with that Lady, I got Avalon," explained Mavislin.
"I never liked that advisor, but I never thought he would want to go on world conquest with what little things we had. The Round Table affairs were too messy to be seen as a stable kingdom, let alone venturing beyond the seas. But I am curious on one thing, Mav..." replied Mordred.
