But her Amber droplet was burning brightly, indicating a use of the Blood Mastery power. Bryan knew from the beginning that one of the children would spill blood, but he didn't expect Circe to hide it from him, knowing fully well about the instructions for losing the duel.
Yet, the Slayer was eager to see who would emerge as the winner. The one using the Blood Mastery or the one playing guard at all times? Bryan felt nothing but pleasure at witnessing the duels of the children. Call it twisted or sick in mind but denouncing the winner would be the same as a gamble.
And Bryan treated every duel with an open mind, with that surge of adrenaline when betting on a high-stakes gamble.
"Blood Mastery: Amber!" continued Circe as she released the arrow.
The flaming arrow turned from orange and red to bright scarlet flames with white outlines. As the spell came tumbling towards Amani, the boy quickly called out the final version of the shield in front of him. Water streams engulfed his figure, forming a sea-blue cape on the boy.
"As long as my heart remains true, I will not falter with this shield in my hand. Legend of Galahad... Fortress of Camelot!" shouted Amani, with a colossal shockwave emitting from the base of the crucifix shield.
The shockwave had a strong ripple effect as it radiated towards the boundaries of the Old Chapel, causing the other occupants to turn their heads toward the class sessions. Meanwhile, Z was trying his very best to prevent the shockwave from breaking the perimeters of the Old Chapel.
If the shockwave got out of the premise, it would spell trouble for the Founders since they were on quite a few rogue Mages' scopes, But after seeing what was the next stage for the shield's spell, Z instantly changed his priorities. The battlefield was too small to house to duel for much longer.
"Protect the children and back them off from the area now!" commanded Z, facing Tomoe as the ground began to shake violently.
The Kitsune nodded and shifted the children away from the battlefield opening. Z then placed his palm onto the ground and muttered some words. The Galaxian Mage then hopped back as the battlefield enlarged to house the proper form of the Fortress Of Camelot.
Midori held onto Nasima as Amani's shield grew larger while displaying white castle walls on the boy's sides. Bryan and Tomoe watched in awe as the fortress came into fruition for all to see. So that's the defense of Camelot of King Arthur's kingdom.
The mirage was massive, maybe even dwarfing Mavislin's Lord Atlantia at that time. But was it strong enough to defend against the demoness' arrow? As the flaming arrow touched the mirage, the clash nearly took the Slayer for a ride had he not brought up his shield.
Seconds turned into moments as the two spells weren't backing down. But as Amani inhaled deeply to force everything he had into pushing the spell back... The last thing the ones on the playing field saw was a blinding white light as the arrow of flames got pulverized by the Fortress Of Camelot.
Bryan was the first to know the winner standing tall while hanging onto the large shield. In contrast, the other child had sunk to her knees in defeat. The Slayer quickly rushed over to Circe to check if the child was hurt, but to his surprise, Circe wasn't wounded.
Then, something snapped, and her demon horns came crumbling down, vanishing into dust. Bryan had expected Circe to start crying since she had lost the duel. Instead, the blast utterly destroyed Circe's bow and armor.
The child's battle outfit was still intact, but her extended sleeves had been blown away from the attack. As Amani snapped out of his daze, the boy rushed to Circe's aid. The girl didn't hold any anger but showed a thumbs up to the boy.
"I had fun! Let's do this again, someday," said the smiling girl.
Bryan widened his eyes as he had a premonition of a very destructive future where the five kids happily challenged each other in the Old Chapel's backyard. The Slayer quickly shook his head and glanced at two kids in a cold sweat. Amani took in a deep breath before shaking his head.
"I'd rather not do it out of class since our powers can get out of hand easily. I think my shield nearly destroyed the barriers," said Amani, helping Circe up.
"No, that isn't the case at all. The Old Chapel is quite powerful and wouldn't allow spells to affect the outside, but the shockwave emitted from the clash had touched the barriers. This place is strong enough to prevent the spells from hurting the forest outside."
