"Z, I need you to link the Map Crystal's live information with the archives of the Congregation in your room. So far, I'm not seeing any names that look familiar in my case. And there are quite a few more to go, and we'll be here for a year if that's the case. And I've got no time for that."
"I plan to find similar names and profiles from the archives to the live information here, so we deduce a smaller number for our better research. But I still can't access the Prisoners' Den, so we have to find another way if the missing person is in the last District," explained Mavislin.
"I can't pull an entire load of archives into the Map just like that. It'll crash both systems. However, I could pull the Programs part out to test the waters," said Z, heading upstairs.
"Thank you, that should work."
The Valkyrie then turned to Bryan.
"We don't have access to the Prisoners' Den because of the Midford Family. Despite Vernice basing on the Urnsfield Domain, her family is the ruler of the Briton Domain. They work alongside Li Ling, a distant cousin of Vernice."
"However, when the agreement was made to create the Five Kings, Viscountess Li Ling allied with the Midford Family to have access to all but one District. The Viscountess can bring people in but not enter herself. And that's the Prisoners' Den."
"Ysabeau works well with the Midford Family enough to gain some knowledge but not full access. If the situation worsens, it might not be easy to get into the area. But with Li Ling asking us for help, we might have a better chance investigating this problem," elaborated Mavislin.
Bryan looked at the names as he tried his best to rack his brain to find any familiar people. But unfortunately, the Slayer was about to give up before a particular name popped up on the list.
"Wait, that person was a Sand Mage! I've worked with her before, but it was with my adopted mother. A few years back, she helped shelter us from the blizzard, but I'm not sure if we were enemies or friends," said Bryan, pointing at a lady named 'Vastra Arakaali.'
The lady's profile and photo instantly grabbed Ysabeau's attention. The lady looked in her thirties and had a purple veil covering her face. She wore a headdress and flowing robe in the same color. Countless bright beads were garlanded around her neck and arms.
"Vastra... She was under the program that I ran during my time in the Congregation, but I never expected her to be alive. She is a force to be reckoned with amongst the subjects I was researching. I dare say she might level a village to the ground if she desires it."
"Against you or Rina, Vastra wins. During a fierce battle, Vastra nearly went mad with power and killed off three of the subjects. She then dueled against me in which we both went all out. I lost all limbs a couple of times, and I struck her Elemental Core."
"I also took out her arm and eye, but I see that she's got all her limbs and eyes with this image over here. Her healing isn't that good, only strong enough to heal cuts and bruises. But I was so sure that she died since I was the one who buried her," revealed Ysabeau, looking at the image.
Gillian stared at his wife with confusion, while Baldwin had a face of shock.
"I thought Old Man Pond said you couldn't lead any programs yourself? He specifically yelled it into my poor ears because I'd nominated you to be head of the Female Mages' program," asked the Angry Man, turning into a Shocked Man.
"Yes, I'm with Baldwin for this one. Poisoned Pond had clearly stated that you weren't supposed to do any experiments or programs within the Congregation. Or was this an individual project?" asked the Headmaster, concerned.
"Do you honestly think that I was the type to go around grabbing people off the streets to turn them into subjects of experiments?" asked Ysabeau, annoyed at her husband's question.
"During that time, you were the type to turn people into guinea pigs. I recall you weren't in the best of mind when we first hired you," retorted Gillian.
"Excuse me! You were the one who kidnapped me! Back to the topic on hand, this program was called the Desert Eagles Project. It was personally from Old Man Pond to give me something to do since I was bored. It wasn't too much of a fuss," explained Ysabeau, shaking her head.
"It was still a program. So why didn't he at least tell me about it? Was it after we married or when I was still chasing you?" asked Gillian.
