Tomoe's shield was the one to break first, and when it did, the Kitsune backflipped towards the group and behind Raiyen. The total effect of the clash was now felt in Raiyen's hands as it was time for the Black Lotus Of The Storm to perform. It held on well, at first.
But the six layers in front began to shatter, one by one. Finally, the blast reached the Lotus itself, and Raiyen was pushed back. Speaking of the explosion, Mavislin and Midori were still clashing, and none of the girls were backing down.
And Mordred Pendragon was helping the young child to push the fight onwards by allowing Midori to use her sword's power. Midori and Mordred woke up in different places while Mavislin remained standing tall in the aftermath.
As the clash dissolved into the duststorm, Mavislin caught the fainting child in her arms with a smile. As a remnant of being present on the battlefield, Midori was still holding onto the sword belonging to Mordred, but it looked smaller than the real one to fit Midori's hands.
"You fought well, my dear child. But, unfortunately, you cannot stand your ground against me even if I was using the weakest Element I've got or with the help of the Knight Of Rebellion. But because of your skill as a Swordsman, I will allow you to continue to be in the Arks."
"However, you will not be the First Seat yet since you like the leadership to command that section. I will find another warrior in that position, and perhaps I would ask Mordred to fit the bill if she ever has a physical form. Now then, I'm drawing this duel close," commanded Mavislin.
Her wings grew out, and with a single burst of strength, Mavislin cleared the dust to reveal who was the victor of the battle. Thank heavens the spells stopped as Raiyen barely had any power left in him. The Time Mage glitched towards the Valkyrie, and Duncan appeared out from the shadows.
Specifically, the boy came out of the Valkyrie's shadow, giving Mavislin a shock.
"How's my sister? Is she still breathing?" asked Duncan, looking at his twin.
"She's fine, but she's going to be out cold for a while. She'll wake up in time for breakfast tomorrow," explained Mavislin, lowering Midori for Duncan to see.
"Alright. I hope she was good in that fight of yours. Is she going to get kicked out?"
"No, I'm not kicking her out from the Pillars. However, Midori will not be the First Seat if the Swordsman Pillar very soon. On the other hand, you have a chance to prove to me that you are ready to take up the role of the First Seat Dementor. It's a special Pillar to command."
"But first, you and the rest of the kids need to complete the three months' training to take up the role. So now, let's get your sister into the Old Chapel so you can get on with the lessons," explained Mavislin, snapping her fingers.
Instantly, the area reverted to its original form, an open field in front of the Old Chapel. The Valkyrie sighed as Raiyen slumped down at a nearby oak tree with the tired Kitsune. Bryan walked over to his partner and accessed the situation while the kids surrounded Rina again.
"I'm going to skip training for today... You can do whatever you want for the rest of the day, and we'll get back on track after tomorrow's breakfast. Leave me be to be one with the grass now," said Tomoe, lying down on the grassy carpet.
Bryan nodded and went towards the children. Ashley stood by the side as Rina explained to the kids that they would be continuing the lesson without Midori and that the child was sleeping for a while. Mavislin went up to Baldwin and handed the child to him, much to the Angry Man's confusion.
"Take the kid to my room and make sure she doesn't go anywhere before reaching my bed. Once you lock the door, the Old Chapel should figure the rest out. Then, you can continue to look after the other children. Got it?" asked Mavislin, looking at Baldwin.
As the Angry Man turned around to head back to the Old Chapel, Mavislin turned to see Bryan confused about what to do with the whole afternoon. The Valkyrie sighed as today shouldn't have any more interruptions, so Bryan isn't needed at the field.
"You can take care of Midori if you'd like. Or, if you still got the energy to work your brain, I've got a little something for you to work on. It's the next mission I'll be heading with you after I'm done with the Orphanage. It's quite a small mission now but at least something good to do."
