The fragments then muddled back together and formed a spear once more. Rina grabbed hold of the spear and stuck to the ground. Circe's bow vanished as well.
"Impressive. I like that even though you can't control your arrows' movements, you could still shoot down all of the stray pieces. Although, we have to work on flexibility and physical endurance. Turning your body sharply would bound to have repercussions in the future," explained Rina.
Circe nodded and thanked her teacher before joining the rest of the children. Rina thought for a bit about which kid to choose next before hearing the sound of a proud Headmaster's clap. Everyone turned to look at Gillian, who was sitting beside the kids.
"What? Did you all notice I've been here? Carry on now! I want to see the rest of what these kids can do! Prove to me that all of them were worth saving. Because, unlike Mavislin, I haven't got a heart of gold. I want to see what these kids can be as the future of the Arks," said Gillian.
"Sometimes, I wonder if making you the Headmaster was a better choice instead of Ysabeau," asked a very tired and hungry Galaxian Mage.
"Z? I thought you were out on a mission? Gave up on it? Or you're taking the day off?" asked the Headmaster, scooting slightly to let the tired Mage sit.
"What do you mean, taking the day off?! Haven't you realized that I've been gone for the past twelve hours?! I didn't come for breakfast, you know! So this is my breakfast!" exclaimed Z, shaking a basket filled with food in front of the Headmaster.
"You've been working the nightshift... It must be painful for you, but at least you've got some information from all that work, right?' asked Gillian, trying to calm his friend down.
The kids could only watch from a distance away as the two Mages sat down to eat. Rina blinked in confusion as Ashley gestured for her to continue.
"You'll have to get used to them. If not, even the combined forces of all of you wouldn't be able to make a catch on one of them," sighed Ashley.
"Amanikable, you're up next," said Rina, pointing at the giant boy.
He nodded slowly and went in front of Rina.
"Same thing as Circe, attack me with your strongest spell, and I will judge how powerful it is. First, though, is it alright to call you Amani instead?" asked Rina, readying her spear again.
The child nodded and placed his arms in front of his chest as if he was calling out to something. He closed his eyes as his Elemental Aura appeared like a wave threatening to fall on him. Rina stepped back as the child's Elemental Energy increased by using the area's water vapor.
Like his other classmate, the choices of beasts throughout history clouded Amani's vision. Specifically of Water Elements. They were all in cards placed right in front of him this time. All of them were flipping back and forth as Amani tried his best to pick out the strongest one.
"My fingers comb and control waves. My palms invoke ice and snow. Let these reigns I hold choose the beast I need..." chanted Amani.
The area dropped to dangerous temperatures, causing Z to be aware of the situation and act accordingly. These kids genuinely have some odd ways of converting Elemental Energy. This kid was sucking out the humidity and warmth of the area, thought Z as he took out his protective spell.
A minor spell encased the spectators using a large dome of stars and ice. Again, it was to keep the area's warmth for the kids or risk freezing to death. But they could still see the training session. Meanwhile, Ashley, Gillian, and Rina sat out from the dome as temperatures dipped.
None of them seemed to suffer from the cold, so things went on. Unfortunately, though, Z did not include himself in the dome, so he sneezed a bit. Gillian focused a bit of the Fire Element into his hand and placed it on Z's shoulder. The Galaxian mouthed a word of thanks.
"Don't mention it. Although, shouldn't you be used to the cold? After all, you are an Ice Mage," asked Gillian, raising his eyebrows.
"My main Element is not of Ice and Snow. My life would've been simple if that was the case. And I probably wouldn't have been kicked out from my previous world. But, instead, I am a Galaxian Mage before anything else. Thus, I still get cold. And shiver. And sneeze," explained Z, grumpily.
"Then why'd you use the Element of Ice? You are known to be the Sea Defence of the Arks. And you're good with Ice Spells. So what's the deal?" asked Ashley.
