Chapter 461 - The Ark Of End Of The First Day

Gillian nodded and glanced at Tomoe with eyes that scream to argue back at his warning.

"The two of their stories have been intertwined ever since they met. I can't imagine what would be the outcome if they hadn't met. There are good and bad sides to it... And sometimes, I'm willing to take the risk to see the good side of this relationship."

"I'm not saying that you are wrong to worry but if they don't try to be together... Will they be happy about it? Both of them knew the risks of being together and yet they went through with it. What does that tell you?" asked Gillian.

"One, it tells me they've gone mad."

"Or two, they are willing to make it work. They've always been the Old Chapel's partners in crime. The duo that loved pranks. No matter how much you warn them, they won't back down. That's why they've got my full support. After all..."

Tomoe's eyes widened at what was before him. The Aki... Was crying... The Kitsune nearly panicked but saw that it was only a few drops of tears coming down.

"I can finally rest knowing that my little Valkyrie has grown up and can make decisions for herself. From having nightmares every night to soaring the skies and commanding the Barren Pillars with confidence... It's truly remarkable how much she'd grown."

"Sure, she still stumbles but she will never stop pressing on," noted Gillian, wiping away his tears.

Tomoe patted the Headmaster on the shoulder. One thing about this guy was that he would put up a brave front towards the rest. But behind the scenes, when he gets a smoke, he'd let loose his emotions.

"You've done well in raising her. I might say all those negative things but I truly love to see them together in the end. They've suffered enough without their birth families. Torn apart by poverty and war. Now, they've got a chance to have a family of their own."

"And I'll support them as well," added Tomoe, taking one last puff.

Little Mavislin kept quiet as she listened to the conversation, smiling internally. It made her feel better about her decision. However, she made a promise to herself to heed Gillian's advice about being professional to her underlings.

She then flew back into her room and tried getting ready for bed amongst her mountain of stuffed toys. It was quite shocking to find Raiyen in the mountain of plushies. Especially when she had zero thought about that happening. She was undeniably angry at the Time Mage.

"GET OUT!" yelled the Valkyrie, physically kicking Raiyen out of her bedroom.

The poor Time Mage landed on his rump on the wooden floor. With a slam of the door, Raiyen jumped back to his senses. The whole scene unfolded in front of the Headmaster and Tomoe. The Kitsune couldn't help but laugh at his owner while the Headmaster scolded the boy.

"She isn't ready yet so don't be on her bed during nighttime. This might be her first time but Ysabeau has drilled her about when is the right time. And now, my dear boy is the wrong time. You're lucky she hasn't given you wings and a halo yet," warned Gillian.

The poor boy could only nod and dashed back into his bedroom. Tomoe was still laughing.

"When are you going to stop laughing at me?" asked Raiyen, burying his face into his pillow.

"Until you've fallen asleep or when I get bored. And it would be the latter since I've got something to do for the night," replied Tomoe.

"Don't you need to rest? Return to my Ancient Relic and rest already. Don't you think you've exhausted quite a bit for these few days?" asked Raiyen, still being muffled by his pillow.

"What do you mean? I'm not human, you know. I can stay up as long as I want."

"Precisely, all the more you should rest. You don't know your limit since you can't feel tired. But I do and I am supplying your Elemental Energy. So, please go and rest. Think about it. You battled Bryan twice and helped out in the Albion mission for a bit. You performed the Kagura."

"Those actions used up your Elemental Energy. Normally, you don't have to rest because you only use it one time. Now, you've used it for consecutive three days. You might vanish during another training session if you don't rest now," explained Raiyen, who fell asleep right after.

Tomoe sighed and nodded. Though, he wasn't going to return to his master yet. He decided to do the normal way of recuperating, sleeping. He walked over to Bryan's room and knocked. With a few exchanges, Tomoe slept on a pillow far away from Bryan's bed, in his fox form.
