Duan Chengyu had the legal department draw up a contract that would bind him and Liu Rachael until he could figure out what his feelings for her was about. It wasn't that he needed someone from his office as his helper, because there was no way any of them could match up to the five star chef cooking that he was born into. He hadn't even told his mother of his decision to fire the staff in his home and bring in someone with a cooking that was barely edible. If she knew of what her son had done, he wouldn't be calmly sitting down to chat with Liu Rachael, because his house would have been turned to the new fighting ground.
"Do you have the contract with you?"
"Yes, but why don't you finish your meal before you sign it."
"It's okay! I'll sign it now!"
To Liu Rachael she just wanted to get the business of signing the contract away from her mind, from the time he brought up the contract, she no longer had any appetite left to finish her food.
"If that's what you want, I'll bring it to you."
Duan Chengyu regretted bringing up the contract, because he saw the way her eyes lit up when he praised her cooking and knew when they became very lifeless after he mentioned the contract.
"Is it because I'm particularly sensitive to her? Or I'm I seeing things that I want to see?!"
Getting up from the table, Duan Chengyu went upstairs to his room to take out a black leather bound folder containing the five page contract from his briefcase, heading straight downstairs to give them to Liu Rachael.
