The next morning, day four, Sanada asked the couple why Sachi has a lot of clothes in their guest bedroom. Not only that, she was surprised that Sachi's personal and girly stuff are all in there, too.
"Since I love to shop, I bought a lot of clothes. They don't fit anymore in our bedroom. I had to transfer some of them over to the guest room," Sachi answered coolly. She had already thought of a perfect excuse last night in case Sanada asks questions.
"Oh, then what about the other stuff inside?" Sanada went on, still unconvinced.
"Same reason, I really love to splurge, you have no idea," Sachi said casually.
"Speaking of shopping, I'll take you guys out to the mall today. We also need to buy new things for Yuki. Let's go get ready," Ryo said to Sachi's rescue.
He treated the two most important women in his life at the mall. First, he took both of them to a spa salon to relax and be pampered. On the other hand, he went shopping for supplies for their two pets who also came with them to the mall. The two women were already done at the spa when he came back for them.
Ryo then took them afterwards to a famous restaurant for dinner. Sanada was so happy to have spent an entire day with them at the mall, she was beaming. The whole time they were together at the mall, Ryo held Sachi's hands, never letting go of it. Even if he had to struggle, like when taking out his card to pay for the products and services they bought and availed respectively.
Sachi was embarrassed but not Ryo.
Back at their suite, they found a bouquet of flowers left outside of their suite. Sanada picked it up because Ryo and Sachi's already got their hands full with their merchandise and pets. She set the flowers down on the table in the living room.
"What pretty flowers. Did you get this for Sachi too, Ryo?" Sanada asked Ryo who had a frown on his face.
"That's not from me," Ryo said as he put their shopping bags down on the floor.
Sachi removed Kuma-chi's harness and took Yuki out of his carrier.
"There's a card," Sanada said and took the envelope. "It's for you," she told Ryo.
Ryo was even more confused now.
"It says, Ryo, thank you. From Kaede," Sanada said reading the contents of the card.
Ryo was out of words.
"Kaede? Who's Kaede? I don't recall having been introduced to any of your friends named Kaede," Sanada said, eyeing her son suspiciously.
Sachi answered for him. "She's a friend and a senior of Ryo's in college."
"Oh, is that so?" Sanada said with a nod. "But why would she send you a thank you note and flowers?"
"I just happened to help her the other day when she got into an accident. You know, that one time, during our anniversary?" Ryo said nonchalantly, he was looking at Sachi since his words was for her more than for his mother. He hoped that this will help clear their misunderstanding on that day. He glanced at Sachi who was expressionless.
"Is that so?" Sanada again said. She was closely watching the couple. "Okay then. But, son, don't get too friendly with other women from now on. After all, you already have a loving and caring wife," she could not help but add.
"What are you talking about, of course I'm not," Ryo said but his voice did falter at the end. He gave Sachi a quick glance again.
She just looked at him with a blank expression.
'Crap, she's definitely angry,' was all Ryo could ever think of.
"Please excuse me. I'm just going to feed Kuma-chi and Yuki in the kitchen," Sachi said and carried their pets to the kitchen.
Ryo had a defeated expression. "I'm going to go change," he said to his mother before living Sanada alone in the living room.
"Something's not right here," Sanada said to herself as she stared at the card from Kaede.
That night, Sachi wore Ryo's white round neck t-shirt to bed tonight and looked deliciously innocent that Ryo ached to touch her again. However, because of what happened earlier in the living room regarding Kaede's card and flowers, things were again awkward between them. Her back was facing him.
Ryo wanted to reach out to her but he was too scared to move. For an hour, he just laid there just watching her back he was about to turn on the other side when Sachi suddenly moved and rolled over to his side of the bed.
She had one arm and leg wrapped around him. Ryo gulped and froze. Then, her knee suddenly moved and brushed the sensitive part between his legs, Ryo took three shallow breaths afterward. He closed his eyes and prayed for divine intervention. One wrong move and he was not sure if he can still control himself with her anymore. Sachi moved again, this time, her hand traveled around his belly and rested on an exposed part of his skin where his t-shirt was crumpled. This time, Ryo held his breath. His body was beginning to react to her now, especially the part in between his thighs.
After a while he had managed to calm down, he was about to remove her hand and legs off him but he hesitated. Instead of removing them, he pulled her closer into an embrace.
'This much should be fine, after all, she did make the first move,' he told himself. It hurts him, that he can't touch her without justifying it somehow.
Once he was settled, he finally dozed off and went to sleep with a smile on his face and a light heart.
The next morning, Sachi woke up feeling something heavy was on her. Not only that it felt cramped and warm somehow. Her right leg also now felt numb because something was pinning it down. She was still sleepy but she forced her eyes to slowly open briefly but all she saw was something white in front of her. So she closed her eyes back again. She was about to snuggle closer to whatever it is that was warm in front of her when the realization finally hit her by surprise. Her body suddenly froze and she opened her eyes fully, no longer feeling sleepy.
She was shocked to see that she and Ryo were locked in an embrace on the bed with their legs intertwined. Not only that, since she was only wearing his shirt, her panties are now showing and so her bare legs were intertwined with his. Good thing one of them was wearing pants. Her face was buried in his chest and so when she turned her head to look up while still lying down on the bed with him, she was surprised to see how close their faces were. She was relieved that he was still asleep and doesn't seem to know what what's going on.
She did not want to wake him so she slowly untangled herself from his embrace and successfully did so. She realized that she was on his side of the bed so she must have rolled over to his side last night. She was slowly rolling over back to her side of the bed when she suddenly heard his voice.
"Good morning," Ryo said to her after a yawn.
She froze in mid-roll and forced her head to turn to face him.
"Morning," she awkwardly said with a forced smile.
Ryo yawned again and then gave her a warm smile.
"Sorry, last night---," Sachi begun, she was about to apologize for unconsciously rolling over to his side.
"Was great. For the first time in days I've finally been able to sleep soundly," Ryo interrupted, still smiling at her.
'Is he teasing?' Sachi thought.
"You can sleep in. I'll prepare the breakfast for us and I'll also take care of Kuma-chi and Yuki's business," Ryo said as he got up and walked over to the corner where their pets' beds were. Both were already awake. Ryo picked up Yuki and called Kuma-chi over to the door. He paused before going out of the bedroom.
"What would you like for breakfast?" he asked her.
"Pancakes?" Sachi said, unsure.
Because her answer came out as a question, it made Ryo smile.
'How cute,' he thought to himself happily. "Pancakes it is," he said while looking at Yuki before leaving the bedroom.
She got up and opened his drawers to search for a pair of shorts that she can wear. She found one and put it on. She then went to the bathroom to wash her face before going out of the room.
Sanada was already set to leave today. After breakfast and after saying her goodbyes to Sachi, Ryo helped her down to the lobby where their family driver at Yamarin was already waiting for her.
Before Sanada got into the backseat of her car, she had a few words for her son.
"Ryo, please take care and cherish your wife more," Sanada said and hugged his son.
"Say no more," Ryo told his mother as she got inside the car. Sanada rolled down the window just as her driver started the car.
"And, hurry up with those grandkids," Sanada said which made Ryo laugh. Her car drove off.
"Goodbye, Mom," Ryo said and went back inside the hotel.
In the elevator, he thought about what he and Sachi can do for today. Today was day five and he really did not have anything planned for them today because he's supposed to catch up with all the business matters he missed for the past few days.
He sensed that Sachi was still uncomfortable around him, judging from her reaction this morning.
"I still have to work on gaining her trust and getting her to believe my sincerity about getting her back," he mumbled to himself.
He decided he'll look into those reports this morning so that he can spend the rest of the afternoon hanging out in the living room with her. And in the evening, he had decided he will take her out to a dinner date.
"Alright!" he cheered on himself before he entered their suite.
She and their pets were nowhere to be found in the living room, dining and kitchen area, which could only mean that she was cooped up inside her room again. Ryo was disappointed and so he sadly went to his office to work on the reports sent to him by his secretary.
He was able to finish his work before noon and prepared their lunch. Sachi and their pets finally showed up just in time for lunch. They were quietly having their lunch when Ryo decided to break the ice.
"I'd like to take you out on a date tonight," he declared.
Sachi stopped eating and looked at him.
"Hhmmm," she seemed to be thinking hard.
"But, if you're not free then it's fine," Ryo said, his hope and spirits were down.
"I'm actually free tonight," Sachi told him.
"Really?" Ryo quickly reacted with a smile.
Sachi hesitantly nodded.
"Then---," Ryo was about to say something but Sachi cut him off.
"But, I really don't feel like going out tonight though," she said shooting his hopes down.
"Oh, okay," Ryo said trying his best to hide his disappointment.
"Sorry," Sachi told him in a low voice and resumed eating. After lunch, she offered to do the dishes while he kept himself busy by pretending to watch TV in the living room. He aimlessly changed the channel. Ryo's phone suddenly rang and he picked it up after the fifth ring when he saw that it was, Aki.
"What?" he asked, rather irritated.
"Whoa! Grumpy much," Aki said on the other end.
"What do you want?" Ryo asked his cousin in an irritated tone.
"We're coming over to your place later," Aki announced.
"What are you talking about?" Ryo asked.
"Megumi really want to meet Sachi since she was not able to meet her at your wedding and since you never let us meet her, so we're coming over to your place for dinner," Aki said in a jolly tone.
Megumi is Aki's long term model girlfriend. They had been in a relationship since college when they meet at a party and they've been cohabiting after graduation.
"Why are you deciding this on your own?" Ryo asked, annoyed.
"Oh come on, let the two girls meet for once, Ryo. Megumi really wants to meet her 'sister'," Aki was pleading now.
Ryo let out a sigh.
"Fine, but bring the food. We don't have time to prepare them," Ryo said icily.
"See you at seven," Aki said to him, and then he added, "Babe, he said yes." Megumi must be with him at the moment Ryo thought.
"I'm hanging up now," Ryo said to Aki.
"Okay bro," Aki said and their call ended.
Sachi was just passing by the living room on the way to her room when Ryo called her.
"Aki and his girlfriend are coming over at seven," he told her.
Sachi just nodded and went inside her room. Ryo wondered why she was extra cold to him today. At least Kuma-chi and Yuki were still with him. He picked Yuki up and asked, "What do I do to get close to her?" but the kitten just licked his thumb in response. "Should I lick her thumb, too?" the thought made Ryo smile all to himself. "I would probably get slapped if I actually did that."
Aki and his gorgeous fiancée arrived a few minutes before 7 PM bearing all the food. The two couple helped each other in setting the table. Megumi was very happy and excited at meeting Sachi, that it almost overwhelmed the latter. The former had a lot of questions for Sachi and so the two set it off to a very good start.
After dinner, Sachi went to the kitchen to get the dessert and another bottle of wine. Ryo followed her and asked if there was anything he can do to help. She said no and asked him instead to bring Aki and Megumi a new bottle of wine. The cake that Aki and Megumi bought was tightly wrapped. Sachi got a knife to cut the ribbon but her hand suddenly slipped and her index finger accidentally hit the pointy edge of the knife, the pain made her suddenly cry in pain.
"What happened?" Ryo was already in the room after hearing her scream.
"Ah, I accidentally cut myself with the knife," Sachi said with a shrug.
But as soon as she said that Ryo immediately went to her in a flash and examined her left index finger where blood was oozing out of the small wound.
"It doesn't seem to be a big cut," he said, still examining her finger. "Thank God."
"I'll just clean it," but before Sachi could even finish her sentence Ryo already put her index finger inside his mouth and began sucking it.
It was the first time someone had done that to her, it sent a shiver to her body. Somehow she felt a tingling sensation as he was sucking the blood from her left index finger, unconsciously she let out a lewd sound. It surprised not only her but most especially Ryo. Sachi blushed and retracted her hands from his mouth. They just stood there staring at each other, both feeling embarrassed.
"What happened?" Aki poked his head in the kitchen this time.
"We're okay," Ryo said to his cousin. "It's just a cut."
"Okay," Aki said eyeing the two of them suspiciously, Sachi was not meeting any one's gaze. "I'll go back to the dining area then."
They were alone in the kitchen again. Sachi's face was still red from embarrassment.
'Shit, that excited me. I didn't know that she was sensitive there. But, judging from her reaction, she probably doesn't know it either. Still, I just found out something incredible today,' Ryo thought to himself. He suddenly had an urge to kick Aki and Megumi out of their home to have Sachi all to himself tonight. He took a deep breath to calm himself down before he acts on these thoughts.
"I'll go get the first aid kit. Just go back to the table," he told her and left the kitchen.
'What was that? What just happened? Why did I make that sound?' Sachi asked herself, cringing at what just happened.
Ryo was quick to clean and cover her wound when he got back and the two couples enjoyed talking to each other over wine and cake. After and Megumi left, Ryo offered to clean and wash the dishes, so Sachi excused herself to her bedroom where she thought long and hard about what has gotten into her when Ryo was sucking her finger.
It was also another sleepless night for Ryo as he thought so much about how much he wants to have his wife tonight.
