When I said 'we' I meant everyone in the room. Ayro was nervously fidgeting by twiddling his thumbs and tapping his foot on the ground.
"You hurt Crystal," I said coldly.
"I-I didn- I didn't mea-mean to," he stuttered. He almost had tears in his eyes. Now he was twiddling his thumbs at twice the rate.
"Sit down. Were going to figure out what happened, then place the blame on whoever's responsible," I responded, trying to keep myself calm. I kept having to repeat the words 'don't kill Ayro' in my head to not go comepletely ballistic.
"Alex, Crystal already told you what happened. It wasn't Ayro's fault," Raven insisted.
"He tried to warn me. It's not his fault that... thing took over," Crystal said reassuringly. It always creeps me out when she speaks without using her voice. Her mouth doesn't move, and it makes it seem like she isn't the one talking. It's going to be difficult to get used to.
Ayro looked down, now fidgeting with his shirt.
"Even if it isn't his fault, how are we gonna deal with this?" I asked, "What happens when The Dealer takes over again?"
Ayro stopped fidgeting and took a little book out of his pocket. He flipped through the pages, then stopped. He pointed to our names and pictures.
"I found this in my house shortly after I realized I was being 'stalked'," He relayed, "He wrote some stuff about everyone besides James. I was holding off on showing you guys this, but... now is the time."
He handed the little booklet to me, pointing at a small handwritten paragraph. My eyes widened as I read through it.
"This can't be real. He couldn't know about that. I never talk about that. How?" I was dumbfounded.
"Alex... What does it say?" Crystal asked.
I looked at the note once again. There was a picture of someone I never wanted to see again taped into the notebook. I ripped it out, tearing it to little pieces and throwing it in the trash. I never wanted to see his face again. The gray eyes and red hair. I never wanted to see him again. The memories were painful for me, but more so for my victim. Just remembering
"Nothing. It says nothing," I growled.
"You're not the only one. He wrote down everything on everyone." Ayro said, looking at Raven and Crystal.
Raven snatched the booklet out of my hand and looked at the page. I tried to get it away from her, but it was too late. As soon as she was done reading, she turned to Ayro.
"What do you mean, all of us?" Raven , "Are you accusing ME of murder?
Ayro looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Yes."
"You know what? I think that you were responsible for Crystal's injuries," Raven said, glaring at him and crossing her arms.
"Don't be mad that I'm pointing out the obvious. I'm the only one here who hasn't killed anyone... uh... of my own free will," Ayro said, a lot more confident then two minutes ago. How he transforms from a stuttering mess to confident, I'll never know. Maddie walked into the room from the bathroom. Is that where she's been the entire time? I looked at my watch. About half an hour she's been in there. was something wrong or was she just avoiding us?
"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation, and Ayro is on point," Maddie said, "Alex, you were obvious. Raven, your weapon and need for revenge made it clear. Crystal, I know you killed your parents. It's clear from how much you hate them and how you talk about them."
"What about you? What were your motivations?" Raven asked, now glaring at Maddie. Maddie just shrugged.
"What kind of answer is that?" Crystal asked angrily.
Maddie just shrugged again. I sighed, and pinched the bridge of my nose. I'd had enough of this conversation.
"I'm going to check on James," I said with another sigh.
Crystal nodded, and I left the room. There was yelling coming from the other room. I figured it would probably be a good idea for them to take a break. I knocked on the door, and the girl answered. She glared at me, eventually taking a break to blink and speak.
"Can't you see that we're busy? Go bother someone else," She growled.
"Would you just shut the fuck up?" James said, pushing past her and herding me away from the door.
"We're not done talking! COME BACK HERE!" She shouted, getting louder as we walked away. James rolled his eyes, and both of us sat down in the kitchen.
"So obnoxious," I commented.
"I wish that wasn't true," James said, "She's just too difficult to deal with right now."
"Did I come in at the right time?" I said, smiling at him.
"You had perfect timing," He said, giving me a light peck on the cheek. Every time he showed me affection, my cheeks went red, and this time was no different. I held his hand and smiled. This was a genuinely happy moment for me. And that ment someone just had to disturb it.
