I had decided to tag along with my mother to the annual Christmas festival downtown. The thought of her returning to the area that I first met the monster without me really scared me. If anything I could at least district him long enough for her to get to safety. I didn't really plan to actually hangout with my mother but I just needed to be close to her and make sure they'd be okay if anything happened. I brought my longboard with me so I could at least occupy myself while she enjoyed her time at the festival. The gathering of people was actually kind of big. For a small town when everyone is together it's more than you'd think. The festival had many things to see like vendors, fake snow, and even Santa. It was your typical Christmas festival but I've gotta be honest it's kinda fun and gets you in the spirit. But tonight would change my life forever and I say that after surviving an attack from that monster. I had decided to draw away from the crowd of people in order to ride my longboard the way I wanted to. With so many people I and to stop so often I didn't enjoy it. I took the path that lead past the Grand hotel. That thing was once a beautiful building but had since been left to rot and wither away. It was always so mysterious. I would sometimes just ride by it and stare wondering what it looks like on the inside. As I was riding by this time I decided to look up and ponder on the building. I had always feared looking up and seeing a ghost in the window of the building. What I saw instead was much more terrifying. I saw a man standing on top of the building looking ready to jump. I didn't know what to do so I ran for help. Just as i was about to attempt to get help he made eye contact with me. I don't know how I felt it he was pretty high up as the Grand hotel had about 50 floors high. Just as fast as he looked at me he looked away and jumped. But he didn't jump down he jumped forward and really far too. It was crazy I could feel, even hear his feet leaving the building. He landed on one of the smaller buildings and began jumping from building to building. I took off on my longboard knowing that something wasn't right. He was so fast I couldn't keep up and I could go pretty fast on a longboard. Suddenly I heard a loud boom from the direction of the festival. My fears had come true and the monster had found me. Many loud noises followed the first and one was just a bit ahead of me. It wasn't close enough to hurt me but it definitely injured the people within the blast radius. These explosions were like nothing I've seen before. Each explosion emitted a purple aura for some reason. Was this the monster or something else? Just before me there was another explosion causing one of the giant festival decorations to come crashing towards a man. Yet again I felt that power flowing through me just like before. I launched myself off my board hurling towards the guy just fast enough to grab him before he was crushed. I don't know how I did it still but I'm glad I was able to feel that power again. I landed firmly in two feet placing the man down and contining on to make sure my mother was okay. Explosions continued near and far and I did all that I could to search for my mother but I couldn't find her. I was so worried about her but I knew I had to stay calm. They're we're police officers guiding people to safety through one of the back alleys and I decided to go that way in hopes my mother did the same. I noticed that as I approched the alley the explosions grew near. I continued in the line and from behind me I could hear the voice of a mother begging for her help. "My baby! My baby!" She shouted as the officers tried to keep her in line. I noticed a young girl hiding in one of the cars still in the street. I knew I couldn't just leave this her behind so I took off past the officers towards her. Explosions were going off to my left and my right. My determination is the only reason I survived. I finally made it to her and just as I reached down to help her the boy screamed. It wasn't because of me though because he wasn't even looking at me. His eyes were directed to something behind me. I turned around to see what he was screaming about and In that same moment something grabbed me by my neck lifing me into the air. He began to choke me and but I got a better look at his face. It was the same man from the building earlier. I could see him much better now. He looked to be in his late 30's maybe with short dark hair that kind of flowed back. He was tall as well. The one thing that stood out about this guy was what he was carrying. The man had what looked to be a very old Japenese Katana. Just looking at this thing would give someone the chills. The man squeezed my neck so hard I couldn't breath and I began to struggle. I flailed around in agony trying to escape but he laughed and squeezed harder. He was going to break my neck at this rate. He then tossed me like I was some kind of rag doll across the street. I hit the ground pretty hard and began to roll but for some reason it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. I was able to quickly rise to my feet and yelled at the man "what the hell is wrong with you?!" He reached for the sword on his hip and slowly started to draw it. My heart dropped as I knew he was going to try and kill me. What was I going to do? I couldn't even summon that shield again so I couldn't defend myself. I didn't even know how to fight I just got lucky before what was I gonna do? I looked around panicking but then I felt something. My hand felt warm like there was energy being poured into it. I also noticed a light shining from my hand as well. Was it the shield coming to defend me again? No this was different than when I summoned that shield I felt more energy than before. For some reason I slowly lifted my hand. It was like something had taken control. The mysterious man's eyes opened wide as if he knew what I was doing. The light grew larger and longer even leaving my hand. It was like it was being forced into something and it was. Suddenly the light flashed and in my hand was the most amazing thing. It glowed with magnificent light like nothing I had ever seen. It was a Sword made up of the light I summoned before me. The blade was magnificent. It shined bright and had what looked to be anicent symbols running down the blade. Holding this sword just felt so natural. I put the sword in front of my at the ready position ready to fight. I had never used a sword in my life but I held this one like I was a expert swordsman. Out of nowhere I began charging towards the man Sword ready. I don't know what had gotten into me but I began swing this sword at him. The sword weighed nothing altough it was a decent size and should've weighed at least 50 pounds. My speed and strength were like nothing I've ever felt before and my body just moved by itself. My moves were so fluid and precise it even seemed like this mysterious man was shocked. I kept swing on him relentlessly as I wasn't giving up until he decided to retreat. I swung my sword upwards staggering him and with that I knew it was time to end this. I drew my sword back behind me and put all my force into this last swing and to my surprise he managed to block it. Although he was able to block the attack I still managed to knock him back pretty far and he fell to his knees. Was this it? Did I defeat him? I didn't hesitate to have my sword back at the ready as I awaited for him to move. "That was actually pretty good for someone who doesn't even know the power he's been gifted with" the man said as he slowly Rose from the ground "It's a damn shame I'm gonna have to kill you now, I would have really liked to have you fight for me." What did he mean by that? He slowly started to raise his blade into the air and I noticed a familiar purple aura. It was the same purple aura that came off of the explosions from earlier. I could see it form on his sword slowly growing larger. His Sword looked like it was being powered from different sources. I finally realized where the aura was gaining energy from. The bodies of the innocent that this man had killed were feeding his sword. It looked as if he was sucking the life right out of them! Rage filled my body but I knew I had to keep my calm. The mysterious man then turned to me with the most wicked look on his face sending chills down my body. He swung his sword in a downward strike launching a blast of that purple aura from it. What the hell was that and how did he do it? I couldn't ask too many questions as I had to react to this blast of what I assumed was the souls of the dead hurling towards me. Instinctively I swung my sword in an attempt to destroy it. Its all I could think of at the time but to my surprise it worked! This wasn't the end though as he began to send more toward me. "This is the end for you!" the man shouted as he hurled several blasts towards me. I had no time to spare so I began swinging my sword like crazy. It was like we were having a war over who could swing their sword faster. But then out of no where I began to feel weak and tired like all this energy I had before was fading away. My attacks began to slow and weaken as the man started to laugh "I knew you couldn't handle summoning a sacred blade with no training at all" he said as he sent a barrage of attacks towards me "what a shame though you had so much potential." I didn't have time to listen to his taunts I needed to do something as these energy blasts were getting too much for me to handle. Nothing came into my head and all I could think now is that I was gonna die. This is the end and I'm helpless. I decided to swing my sword one more time with all my might but it wasn't enough. The energy blast hit me right across my chest. It felt as if I had been ripped from side to side by this energy blast. I went flying back so far that when I hit the ground I lost all the air in my lungs. I began to roll and tumble back breaking some of my ribs and scratching myself up horribly. I stared to loose consciousness but just before my vision faded to black I could see that man look at me with that wicked smirk. He turned and jumpes into the air higher than I could see. I slowly faded away...
