~two days later~
"Retsu'! What would you like from the market!? "Shouting from the front door, Myrva was ready to head out into town and Kino was going along with her for the first time since waking in his new body. "Alright! I'm heading out! "
As the two left the farmhouse, they steadily began heading down the old dirt road as either side was fields with rows of growing corn and herbs. Holding a basket at hand, Kino looked the part of a beautiful and feminine young noble woman.
~
As Kino and Myrva arrived into town, all eyes were pressed against Kino as Kino held onto Myrvas coat despite being taller than her. Kino's hair was a glistening velvet gold and her skin was as pale as a porcelain dolls. Kino's physique was the talk of the town as her bust and waist highlighted her slender build.
Kino and Myrva stopped infront of the many shops as Myrva began talking with one of the vendors.
"My, who is this lovley gem, Myrva?! Is she your long-lost daughter?! "Myrva and the vender lightly laughed as Myrva explained that she had taken Kino into her home a few days ago. "Oh, what's your name deary? "
Turning toward the female vendor, Kino held tightly onto Myrva's sleeve as he hid his gaze from the stranger. The vendor gasped lightly as their eyes met and the vendor's gaze absolutely lit up and glistened just as Myrva's had when she first met Kino. The vendor then asked if Kino wanted anything from her shop and that it was free of charge.
"My-really, Castella?! You wouldn't necessarily give me free things? What makes Kino so special? "Grunting at Myrva smugly, Castella gave her a sour look while turning to Kino and gasping as her face had become flushed. "Thanks, Castella. But we won't take any handouts. I'll pay for the ones I had and that's the end of it. Have a pleasant way, Castella. "
"No-wait! "Stopping the two abruptly as the they began to turn away from the shop, Myrva held a smug expression as Kino gazed at Castella until Castella fell while her knees gave way from simply meeting Kino's gaze. "I-I want to know if there is anything I can do for Miss Kino! Please, anything, anything at all?! "
"Hmm! Come now, Castella... When was the last time you ever gave out free charity to your fellow man. In fact, you've seriously conned more people of our little town than any full fledge merchant in the Royal Capitol. "
"Tsk! "Irritated at Myrva for exposing Castella's nature, both Myrva and Kino soon left as Castella rounded her shop while still weak-kneed. "Miss Kino! Please do stop by any time! I'll be sure to give you a once-in-a-lifetime discount on my wares! "
While walking through the center of town, Myrva held a vicious smile as she studied the fruit she picked up at Castella's. Turning toward Kino, Kino blinked while taking a small bite and brightly opened her eyes while tilting her head slightly. Myrva instantly fell weak as Kino aided her and the two headed back home.

As Kino sat at the dinner table all alone, Myrva was making dinner as Retsuo was out in the fields working even after the sun had set. Calling out to Retsuo,he soon came entering through the backdoor of the house. Retsuo took a seat at the table as Kino remained silent with a quiet and patient expression on his face.
Kino opened his gaze and watched as Retsuo began carving into his wooden figurine like he always had in the past two days. With its odd outline, Kino had grown curious over what it might have truly been once it was complete. Making a game over what it could be before Retsuo could finish, Kino thought of wild ideas from a small miniature chair to a small scale farmhouse.
Turning toward the sharp knife that held various scrapes and cuts, Kino would find himself leaning in until the frozen knife would no longer move. Turning toward Retsuo's unfamiliar grin, Kino blushed as he sat firm in his seat once more. Lowering his head, Kino opened his eyes as he glanced over toward Retsuo's carving.
"Dinners ready. "As Myrva began plating the food, the three sat around the table and ate together as halfway through the meal, Kino erupted.
"Hm... I can't take it! Mister Retsuo! What in gods name are you carving!? Is it a plane, a boat, a bear?! Aah! The possibilities are endless! Maybe a bird, or a tree... Or a bird on a tree!? Argh!? "As Kino had always been the type to exaggerate when something caught his interest, Kino soon calmed down and took a seat while casually picking up on his meal in a clam manner. "I apologize for my sudden outburst. Please forgive my comment. "
"Eh! That's no good. "Turning quickly toward Retsuo, he held out the wooden carving in his hand and showed it clear for Kino to see. "What do you think it is, Kino? "
Gulping, Kino took on the challenge as it was who he was as a person. Kino observed intently until reaching an answer.
"It's... A tree? "Turning his gaze from the carving, Retsuo suddenly erupted into laughter and before long, Kino bursted out into laughter as did Myrva as Retsuo did not know what he was carving either.
The three spent a while laughing and talking casually as to what the carving could possibly be until late at night.
~
Having fallen asleep over the dinner table, Retsuo gently carried Kino back to the room along with Myrva.
Once there, Myrva tucked Kino in with the blanket as she brushed aside Kino's long, luscious hair-strands from her face. Upon seeing Kino flushed face from all the laughter, Myrva and Retsuo stood together in the doorway as they were both happy for Kino to have come into their lives.
