Above the docks in the air Damien watched the departing ship of the Archmage he was lock in a magical battle with. Damien attached a tiny bit of his aether that acted as a tracker to the ship before it was completely out of view. The magic would disappear, but not before giving Damien a general direction to head to, in the future. Over a million of troops had to be a massive loss. Not to mention the Hellion army moral had to be down after such a defeat. Yet, Damien knew too little of this enemy to make anything more than assumptions of their actions and capabilities. Hopefully, now that that king had prisoners, he can interrogate the enemy for more information. For now, Damien would not worry about a beaten dog. His problems hadn't declined, they only rose after now that he had a population for his kingdom. They would have many needs he would need to meet as their king.
After hours of battling, the exhausted men and women nearly completed the task with hours to spare. The generals of the Algarian army sent any abled body men and women to spend the rest of the time scouring and freeing prisoners and capturing or eliminating straggler. There were millions soldiers so there will be those in hiding that managed to escape but they will be rooted out over time. The Hellion army had major set back that would take years to recover from.
Damien left the 'clean up' to the generals and made a portal back to the front palace wall gates. Due to the powerful shield Damien had to portal outside and then force his way in with aether and his will each time. Once Damien appeared the trembling royal messenger delivered the terms of the treaty between the two countries. With terms and sanctions should any of the terms be violated. The terms were to be discussed in detail between he palace advisors of the two kingdoms. Also upon the previous agreement, the king of Algaria will personally deliver the 300,000 former kingdom slaves in 6 months time. The other 200,000 will arriving in the following months. In caravans by the thousands. The messenger informed Damien that the kingdom is creating a formal celebration for the hero of the wall Mage King Damien Sorlen. Damien could see the towering wall from where he was. Maybe he over did the wall a bit in his haste. Damien was still getting the hang of casting large scale magic. Its vastly different and requires much more control.
After the departure of the Damien needed time to think, so he flew back towards Numera instant of using a portal. He thought about how these roads would be still be filled with migrants heading to his kingdom in the coming weeks. He now had a true kingdom. He was an actual king. Once his system levels up he'll be on step closer to his goal. Right now his biggest next step I'd providing homes for all of these people. Despite what he wanted to do, it seems fate forced Damien to remain in his kingdom. He now had many more followers to grow himself with but now he's still boggled down with responsibility.
As Damien continued to fly over the Algarian countryside. He could see lines of walking people traveling towards his Kingdom already. The people looked like ants rom where Damien was flying but with his enhanced senses Damien could see the faces of the people clearly. They had hope. Hope for something better. Damien made sure he'd give these people better. He'd be the leader he had always wanted to see in other world leaders. He would be a beacon of hope for his people.
A loud boom was heard in the sky from the sound barrier breaking and a black streak could be seen speeding though the sky be for blinking out of sight moment later. Damien arrived at the gates among the large crowd of people. Damien noticed the diligent troops making sure to guide the crowd to the proper entrance buildings upon entering the city. Allen had been hard at work with organization.
Damien passed through the gates under the wide eyed reverence of the guards. Damien saluted the guards with a fist over his chest and kept walking into his city. There were merchants shouting on both sides of the streets selling wares. There were tens of recruiters looking to hire workers and was also offering training to get the workers up to speed.
Different groups of newcomers were huddled in sections obviously people have began to divide into their own social circles. If Damien was to make different type of kingdom with more rules of things would have to cease. They need to view themselves as people of this kingdom. Until that time these people will never be able to enjoy the full benefits of the people that has converted.
Damien continue to walk and observe. He didn't care if the people saw him and gawked and pointed at his attire. He stopped by a stand to taste the food from the locals. Damien chose some type of glazed meat on a skewer for a copper. Of course the man tried to refuse Damien money but Damien would not let him. Damien bit into the meat and a burst of delicious flavors assault his senses. It was completely different than anything he's had on earth. Damiens look left the crowd cowering due to misunderstanding the look on his face. The crowd were used to power tripping abusive nobles so on instinct the people were terrified. The stand owner fell down on his face, making it bleed. Damien thinks the man may have broken his nose by the amount of blood beginning to pool around the mans face.
"M-m-my lord please forgive this lowly peasant. I will pack up my shop and leave immediately! Please spare my family."
Damien of course was shocked at this exchange. and horribly correct this error.
"No, Good sir this food was amazing! Stand up and tell me your name."
The man stood up and as erect as he could. Damien was right. The man indeed had broken his nose and chipped some teeth.
"Doo-slah-man mey-keeenslsh!"
Damien shook his head and cast Divine Touch and the man glowed golden before all of his wounds were instantly healed. His nose rearranged in front of the large crowd eyes and his teeth was instantly whole along with all of the scratches. The dirt and any foul smell on the man was instantly removed. The man felt completely refreshed.
"Thank you my lord! I will never forget your blessings and kindness!"
Damien purposely used healing touch due to the crowd! Damien got the reaction he wanted. The crowd gasp.
"How!"
"He repaired bones and for free!"
"That looks like the Lord that had come to our town! He's a saint. Where is the saintess?"
"..no he's a king not a saint! But where's his castle."
"...you mean that large hut? I thought the tower was his?
" No, crap for brains, that's the mages academy!
"Well I don't see a castle or a temple and I'm starting to feel like we've all been had..."
Damien didn't like where this was going already. He turned to the crowd and spoke with an amplified voice to reach all of the incoming refugees coming in through the gates.
"Blessed by the creator of all! Blessed is this kingdom protector of the weak and lame! Let this status be a visual reminder as a beacon of light to all of those whose swear fealty to the kingdom and the god of all! For life, for love, for justice. For Numera!"
Behind the quiet stunned crowd, Damien made a statue of a large man with ancient looking armor holding a sword and shield. The statue had a crown of rare metals that shined. Damien made the crown with a revitalization rune engraved inside of the metal, that gave a burst of energy to anyone that got near it. The face was blank because well Damien was pulling all of this out of his ass and he didn't want to give that asshole a face. The enchantment will pretty much eliminate sleep or fatigue of anyone that goes near it after 60 seconds. That was so that people could say a prayer to the deity that Damien had to make up. Engraved at the base of the statue were the words that Damien had spoken in a gold lined marble sign. The words word had a golden pulsing glow that Damien was sure he didn't add to the enchantment that left Damien with a nervous chill up his spine.
While the people were still marveling at the statue, Damien slipped away from the crowd. Damien was glad to see his plan already come into fruition. The people began worshipping the statue. The line to the entrance building was suddenly swarming with refugees. This will take weeks to properly house this many people without help. Luckily hiring help isn't an issue for Damien. Damien needed to create a recruitment hall. That way he will have a cover story for suddenly having a swarm of train professionals in days.
One thing that Damien heard that made him cringe was him having a castle. Him putting that off has really just been him still not wanting to believe this is all real. He knew that once he built a Palace that was one step closer to him calling this planet home and another step away from home. Away from Tasha. Damien had a feeling of dread enter his heart and he wanted to breakdown but he steeled his resolve and kept walking but his mood didn't improve much. Either way this had to get done. The king was on his way and Damien had no idea what a palace would need but he knew someone who did.
Damien floated near his boarder wall on the opposite end of the wall of his kingdom. Damien. had thought too small and he currently had enough space for 100,000 residents. He needed to expand his boarders and he figured out how but first he needed protection. Many times in E history during an invasion on earth, n one had a real way to prevent an enemy force from invading completely. Their was always an unused hole or tunnel for an enemy force to invade in. Damien wanted to stop this by any means necessary. He needed a self sustaining mana barrier as a first line of defense. Damien planned on expanding the mana barrier around his kingdom to house his entire boarders. Instead of using all his power to destroy, Damien figured a way to protect everyone first then focus on offense capabilities.
To do this Damien made 50 clones of himself and made then head out in every direction dropping large mana stones. As the stones touched the ground they instantly melted into the rock like it fell in quicksand. All the stones burrowed 500 meters into the ground before stopping. Once the clones stopped at the line created by the system on the map.

Damien smirked at his plan. Conquers in earth's history would take years to do what Damien just did in hours. With the area mapped out, Damien flew to the center of his newly mapped out area and waited a few for the intelligent dangerous creatures to flee. They knew that these clone emitted stronger magical power than was used to kill the previous mythical beast and would eradicate all of them in a matter of moments. The less intelligent monsters and beasts that stayed would be handled by Damien in the future.
Damien tossed a massive small boulder sized round glowing multicolored ord into the air where it froze and lit up the sky. At the same, time all of the smaller orbs began glowing before a blindingly bright purple light shown before dimming after long moments. Damien had to put massive amounts of mana to perform this massive mana barrier. He used all of the power in the stafd and his own before he fell down to the earth exhausted. The barrier became transparent before letting in the wind and sunlight.
Unknown to Damien what he did was considered impossible in the human kingdom of Algaria. The amount of power it takes to sustain a constant barrier is enormous. All the mages in the land would faint if they found out only one man had done this. No, they wouldn't let themselves believe a man could. That kind of power is god-like! Damien's ambitious plan was just getting started and his feats will only grow.
Now he has protection for his people. All the current villagers and the ones on the road saw the blinding blue light. In fact the whole kingdom saw and felt the raw mana leakage from the barrier before slowly disappearing. Any mage who could sense mana for miles around felt this power. It was similar to a radiation leak on earth.
As Damien sat on the ground he tough about how massive this task of expanding his kingdom. Damien fell on his behind and laid on his back and meditated to recover. He hadn't had to do so in a while and he had forgotten how refreshing for his mind it could be. Clearing his thought is becoming a rare gift the longer he remains on this planet. "System it's been a while let's talk. Status!"

Yet, the previous battle has proven to be very fortuitously beneficial for the host. The host had decimated over 453,343 enemy and killed 4 peak level master mages. After the battle, the host had unlocked modern kingdom upgrades but, by creating a recognized kingdom by the powers on this planet. This was also the prerequisites to update the entire system.]
Damien thought and meditated on the new information.
'System, I need a palace but I want it surrounded by modern homes and roads and street signs to assist with directions. I want the palace surrounded by modern mansion type homes. Want the palace guard housed here and guard post on the corner of every other street. This would eliminate crime and he would hire the locals to police the area. Damien wanted to make his kingdom as close to home as possible. He could create cars himself with his earth's metal manipulation. He could simulate the seats and seat belts by converting beast hides....'
Damien kept raddling off ideas until the system told Damien stop due to being out of DP.

Damien also had to have people operate these various locations. He also needed instructors to teach at the schools as well as teach and hire member. In particular, for the research building Damien hired 50 researchers. Can never have too many egg heads. For the hospital he hired 100 nurses and doctors and 100 more to teach for the larger and important locations, Damien bought about 10-20 staff members. The medical school is to teach modern medicine and save lives from preventable deaths. After getting at least 3 to 5 teachers and staff members that he could he was ready for his purchase.

Just like a realistic video game bright golden lights had shown in the entire area of his kingdom. Everything had be completely made anew. All the earlier modifications Damien had made earlier were completely erased and remade except the mages tower. Damien now stared at modern city except everything was just bigger. There were no tightly packed spaces. The streets were all clean modern American roads. All of the homes had different modern styled home designs to them with their own land. The luxury homes were even more lavish. All of the building shad staff that was awaiting orders. Damien had all of the staff assist trainers with education until the population catches up to all the new additions to their city. The land area was massive and Damien was hard pressed to see the boarders of his kingdom even high in the sky. There were still trees in the middle of the street, beautiful statues of mages and various warriors and fountains surrounded by various plants and flowers that enhances the beauty on each street. There were mage lights floating on the end of poles illuminating the streets at night. Traffic lights were on the intersections of the streets. Damien would need to start a traffic schools once he gets thins rolling. He could see the bright multi colored lights of a theme parks and casino illuminate the side of near by buildings. Damien would explore all of the buildings in the near future but there were a few buildings that caught Damien's eye. Before Damien could head down to street level and figure out their locations, he heard a 'ding' noise and the system spoke in his mind.

Damien was nervous about whatever the system was doing. This was the first he was hearing of any kind of update and frankly he still didn't trust the creators of this system no matter how useful it is. Damien could do nothing about it now. He decided to check on his people. Damien hadn't seen Selene in a while and he sure she was going to be unhappy when he got back. Especially, with him going to a battlefield alone. She had become much more vocal since their time together on the road with the merchant caravan. She would have to wait a bit longer Damien had new toys to play with and he had a new palace to explore. From where Damien is located he still could not see his palace due his current distance from it. For now Damien flew down to the ground and found and information tower. On it was a list of locations available to the public. They were all marked red currently due to Damien not giving authorization yet. Damien press the option for the Magical Automation Building. A 3d map lit up the screen and showed direction on how to get the building. Well that answered Damien's navigation problem for his people in his city. Damien had days before the system was done and he would finally relax since arriving on the planet.
While Damien was working on his expansion project, other powers in the world began to stir in the unknown kingdoms of the world. Damien unknowing stir a planetary hornet's nest.
