...Damien POV
The explosion from the Crimions Hell Fire spell was indeed massive and lived up to its name. After being blown though the massive hill, Damien summoned a lifelike clone instay upon impact. He made a magical constructs of himself to stay on the surface as though affected by the impact. Meanwhile in its place, his real body tunneled under the earth using earth manipulation and the system map to rush back towards the wall. Damien knew that after the first two attacks he could handle this mage easily so his nervousness decreased but he knew not to let his guard down. One mistake and hes dead such as any battlefield.
After the surprise first attack, he was able to keep up with the mage and could have killed him several times but that's wasting time at the wall. The archmage concentrated and a bright blue aura shone around him showing him gather massive amounts mana. With a shout Keilar shot thousands of bright blue colored flames from his hands towards Damien. Damien heart pounded looking at the oncoming bullet fire storm. All his assumptions were outside of a real opponent. Damien charged his shield on instinct. Damien felt constant pressure and the magic particles still bleed through his shield but the continual purple colored sheild held true and after 20 seconds the power of the spell diminished and the exuasted, gasping Archmage was wide eyed with his mouth gaping. A unscathed Damien appeared when the smoke cleared.
"Are we done?" Damien said seriously.
The longer that he wasted time fighting this mage the more lives would be lost it to the minute it would take. He tested his might against an Archmage and came out nearly unscathed. How powerful was he? If he hadn't had his shield active would he have survived such an attack with only his enhanced body and healing? The healing only works if hes alive to cast it. Damien this wondered to himself before attacking. How terrible would he feel to know his most powerful spell didn't even hurt one of Damiens life like constructs.
Damien the construct dissapeared and reappeared and backed handed the Archmage. Keilar flew intense pain throbbing from his back and right as he was about to impact the ground, Damien met him with a fist made of ice surround by lightening and punched down on the mages back. Shocking and freezing the area.
"The issue with people who thinks that that thinks their strong, is the goofy face they make when they realize they fucked with the wrong one. Oh yeah, I owed you two."
"So let's skip the dumb look and die for me, will ya?"
Keilar was in immense pain and he could hardly see straight. The impact nearly killed him from only two hits. This human only used mostly his physical skills and nearly me Keilar thought. Then he thought of the human words and based on the smirk he was making that face. This human must pay! Yet Kelar was no fool and would not rush into an early grave. No he had to escape. I felt like a coward but he had to use it. Keilar pulled out a purple bead and crushed it. As Damien was getting closer. The deamon suddenly dissapeared.
"Well, God D*****! That's what I get for playing with my food. I guess spacital travel isn't as rare as the Algarians thought."
The construct shook its head and disappears in a dim light.
Meanwhile underground, the real Damien sped through under the tons of dirt and rock as though he were a torpedo in water. He arrived at the wall on the enemy side of the wall he burst through the ground and flying high I to the air attendant breakneck speed. Sending the unaware enemy soldiers and beast flying in every direction with loud sounds of armor bodies making random impacts into the ground and other soldiers.
The real Damien landed on the wall and faced the Algarian army. Damien got the idea of tethering his constructs to the powerful magic jewel to sap energy directly from his staff and not himself. By now, Damien's staff had fully replenished its arcane energy from absorbing the surrounds energy. Damien glowed bright purple and screamed the spell so that it could help him visual his what he was willing into existence. A bright orange light began to shine over the entire Algarian army and glowed for long seconds before dimmming until it became a clear purplish light and dissipating.
"Magic Constructs - Arcane Armor!"
"Magic Constructs - Arcane Weapons!"
"Temporary arcane strengthening!"
Unimaginable power swept over the battlefield like the year of battle had never seen. Algarian bodies bulged and magic flashed all over the battlefield and the soldier struggled to control their new found gifts.
All of the soldiers gasped at their new found strength. The warriors all glowed in magical armor that was strengthened by the staff. It was able to take impact from sorcerer level impacts from enemies, above Archmage level. The armor had Damiens full magical strength for their protection. The warriors were armed with arcane weapons of all types. Swords of all sizes, daggers, bows and bolts or arrows, spears, and all manner of exotic weaponry. The weapons had massive penetration power as well as powerful arcane damage upon impact. The archers of the army found that they now could pull the magical draw string and an arrow would appear. Once fired they would disappear from sight and reappear and exploding dealing innate elemental damage type of each archer.
The mages notice that if they focus their staves their magical power and defense could feel their magical strength rise tenfold. The mage were greatly assisted the Damien staff because everyone mana pools expanded and they felt a rise in the control of their elements up to such a astronomical degree. Damien used the 24 hour arcane strengthening to pretty much make the Algarian superior sodiers for a day. Much like his own personal troops.
Except Damien didn't unlock their skills and potential. He didn't want to give another army his people special abilities, but they can borrow them for a day. The ability to see farther, run faster, stay awake longer, and magical abilities are strengthened overall. For example a normal mage could rise to overcome many years of training with this spell alone and jump into the next rank of mage strength or further that that. The spell seems to unlock hidden potential. For every mage it's different but it is still there. Not to mention, Damien learned that anyone can have a mana core created, not to mention a mana pool.
Damien broke out of his thoughts and looked at the army. He noticed he gets side tracked at the most worse times sometimes. Looking over the smiling and shocked soliders and mages, he forgot the effect it has on men the first time. The intoxicating power rush. The men and women soliders were still admiring their magical weapons and armor. The mages just stood around stunned not imagining having as much magical strength as many of them had. They all looked at themselves then back at Damien. Many stared at him like he was a god. To some he was, especially those that were on deaths door only seconds before is miraculously arrival. Some actually began to worship him in hushed tones. In their minds only a god could have and give away the power they now possesed.
Damien was taken back by this. He never thought how being looked upon like someone was be worshipped. Damien wanted to stop this behavior but hes seen this look every time he unleashed his abilities. It disgusted him. He knew this might happen, but for it to actually BE happening and this to burden dropping in his lap made him sick and uncomfortable to say the least.
He was from earth. As far as we all knew, it was a godless earth seemingly. Of course that notion changed much more now for Damien to say the least. Thinking about Earth, made Damien distraught, which turned into blind fury and instant calm.
"Tasha, daddy'll return you soon my poor baby."
A quiet tear fell and brought Damien back to reality. His new reality. If he had to murder he would, if he had to slaughter he would, if he had to be come a god , then gods be damned he would do that to. Anything to get back to his daughter Tasha. His heart ached just thinking about it. All this time had passed and he hadn't held his little girl. It was enough to steel Damien's resolve. He looked down at the army and spoke.
"Algarian army we will not waste this chance. It's a chance to get revenge for your fallen brothers but you must fight. Your country will never be safe with death at its door. You have been granted a rare gift from the gods. Fight with the strength of a demi god. Without fear!
I have come and will lead you to victory. CLAIM YOUR GLORY IN BLOOD! CHARGE! The Algarian soldier burst through the opening in the walls and into the Hellion front lines like thousands of individual unstoppable fright trains. The hellion at the wall army was too shocked at the many event to react in time. Their lust for blood quickly turned into losing fights for survival. It was almost impossible for leaders to react to such sudden turns of events.
He watched as a large cleanly shaved barbarian sized man with dual handed bastard swords decapitated with extreme precision 10 hellion soldiers with one swing, then immediately after jump in the air and slammed the blade on the ground causing shockwaves in the ground to go into every direction and blow tens of more bodies apart in massive fountains of blood. He was obviously a top fighter based on the accuracy of his skills.
Mages began dashing deep into the lines using elemental weapons and spells. They no longer feared the physical limitations of most mages. their power reserves exploded. The spells at the same level were greatly strengthened, with the same mana cost and at archmages of different levels.
In particular he saw the water mage from earlier. She was flying high into the air. She actually began to change the weather and began freezing whole sections of clouds that contained any of the advancing enemies on their mounts in the air. She simultaneously rained powerful storms and large ice lances's that impacted the ground like meteorites which created devastating shockwaves killing scores of enemies. The enemy weren't standing still but even with their physical prowess the Hellion solider and mages were constantly overwhelmed and crushed. This was due to many of the Hellions soldiers' spells and weapons couldn't penetrate the armor and the powerful mana shields of the Algarian army.
Once the Hellion soldiers saw that their once invincible attacks were now almost ineffective. The shocked soldiers and beasts could not fathom how the soldier had gotten so powerful , attacks that were fatal only minutes ago are now harmless are is batted away. This gave the Algarian soldiers even more morale and an even more confidence to let lose.
Within 20 minutes, the real Damien and Algarians had made it deep into the enemy encampment. You could constantly hear flesh being parted with wet noises or constant bone crushing impacts that can bend steel easily. The ground was littered with dead enemy soldiers and deep craters, scorched earth, massive mounds of moved earth, patches of frozen tundra or steel and earthen spikes as far as the eye could see.
There were further attacks from other enemy mages, but none were as strong as the Archmage or his underlings so the army easily dealt with and powerful soldiers that rose up as they pushed deeper into the enemy occupied territory. The Hellions who never retreated in the past 20 years were no longer advancing and in fact the Hellions were bring pushed back. The Algarian power houses in the army could keep fighting and not get fatigued. By 12 hours some of the lesser soldiers and warriors began to show fatigue but after a moment's rest could have them ready to fight again after a fellow soldier took their place at the frontline. Utilizing pulse warfare perfectly. Of course, Daminen had his summons never cease killing soldiers or destroying their siege weapons that hadn't got a chance to be utilized deep in the thousands of camps and forts. Due to Damiens surprise attack. Speed was the keys and Damiens greatest weapon in this situation. Damien need to eliminate as many as possible and leave hary of the powerful soliders except for interrogation.
As the army massacred their way towards the occupied village that was once held by Archmage Keilar. The approaching army stopped at the walls. All of the Algarian soldiers formed up lines and got ready for the next order. Damien was in the air looking at the gates. Damien checked his map and saw that quite a few innocent people still lived there.
Damien had to leave the army here and move on ahead. He left a little surprise for his Archmage friend we fought with earlier. Damien let the commander know that there were still villagers inside and that the village had soldiers in every building and to clear them all out. With that Damien blasted the gate and let the soldiers clear out the village.
When Damiens construct was was fighting with the Archmage earlier he had thought about how he could get more info on troop movement in the grey areas on the map. After speaking with the System, Damien learned that so long as his mana was in an area, his map would consider that explored territory. So with that, Damien could see the purple dot of his construct and the Hellion Archmage.
"Time to make the small fish lead me to the big fish."
Now that Damien, had the general area where the Archmage stopped he went to find the commanders of the Algarian army. After clearing the village, Damien told the generals to finish clearing out the camps and continue to push southwest and until they reach a the coast line. He explained that's where the enemy ships had docked to invade continen and told them to push those bastards back into the ocean. Damien told them that he would go on ahead. By now, the commanders followed Damien's word without question. The generals and commanders saluted and ran off to finish clean up of the enemy in the village. It will take some time to go through each building.
Damiens plan was to cause as much chaos and destruction on the enemy until the Algarians arrive. They king said these men have never shown themselves to fear death or retreat, yet Damien had seen different.
Damen sent his summons to continue on with the army except his arial summons.
Damien had landed on the ground and turned to his dragons and griffins. Time to to fly josy and Damien took off towards the docks on the beaches.
...Keilar at the docks on the beachfront
Keilar appeared on his stomach suddenly with the view of the docks in the distance. Struggle to his feet and leaning against at tree, and throwing up a mouth full of blood. limping his way to the sound of costal birds and the safety of a ship headed home. As he got near the fort leading I to the docks. He flew right over the magic enhanced wall protecting the fort. Keilar scoffed at the structure knowing those walls bricks were only pebbles in front of that monster. He knew that if he didn't get word back to the Emperor then it's no way his people can survive what's coming. He had to let the Supreme Emperor know about the Algarian powerful Sorcerer. Their army troops strength are absolute. No HIS strength is absolute.
Keilar arrive at the docks and landed on the edge of the next to his warship. He cannot look so rattled or these kinds of men will not respect your authority no matter the rank. Strength was absolute, in the Hellion society. He composed himself straightened his back and painfully walked down the docks. He walked with absolute authority but struggling to fight the pain. He had to feign strength even though he was terrified.
Keilar walked up the ship's dock and seen the captain.
"Captain, there is an emergency and we have to leave at this moment."
"Yes, General but I haven't…"
Keilar grabbed the front of the man's shirt, said a quick word and the mans shirt began to burn and the man screamed in pain as the fire went out but the hair on his chest was gone. There was a red fist from the scorched skin burned into the captain's chest.
"Now! Are there any further questions?"
The terrified captain began the preparations to disembark. The anchor had been pulled up when the first roar was heard. Keilar froze in terror. Move this piece of shit dammit. He was so desperate that he flew into the air and got behind the back of the ship and channeled his fire magic into his leg. The ship began to slowly move towards. Another roar sounded he poured his remaining energy into his fire burst flight spell and the back of the mages legs looked like a rocket ship taking off. The explosive power broke the sound wave but it was still a weakened man holding on on to a massive ship propelling it forward. Despite his broken arms and collarbone he got the ship to move forward as fast as he could without dying. Keilar landed back on the deck and terrify ice cold, exusted slumber overtaking him with the sounds of horrifc dragons and griffins causing widespread destruction on his former army.
