After that, Carson made a habit of eating lunch with Ivy and doing homework together in the library. It was great; she got a ton of statistics and biology homework done that way. She enjoyed their conversations between bites of food too.
Weeks passed like that. Ivy did her best to avoid Lydia until she cooled down so she ended up spending her weekends working with her language software instead of out and about. It was a nice change of pace.
Life was pretty good aside from not having an excuse to see Adrian. That is, until he invited her to a Halloween party out of the blue.
She was torn. Seeing him might help her figure him out but she also didn't want to deal with crowds. She texted him back saying she already had plans but that she would love to take a rain check.
Plans? As if. Ethan and his friends were going to watch horror movies at their house so she would probably spend the night holed up in her room eating candy that was supposed to go to trick-or-treaters.
