Eo sat back down. He realized he was shaking. During the fight he had somehow stood up, and he also realized he was sweating a lot. Eo closed his eyes and tried breathing.
Reya fell on her knees. The applause of the audience was deafening. Reya was also shaking. The smell of burnt flesh permeated her nostrils, and small drops of blood littered the front of her clothes.
Reya couldn't help but look back up. She didn't want to, but her vision got pulled back to the gory scene. She saw what looked like a torso connected to legs…
The ribs were sticking out and blood was sprayed everywhere. The head was just a ball of hair sitting, alone, a few meters away. The arms were no different, lying on the ground dozens of meters from the body in either direction. Most of the chest, where the knife had hit, was completely vaporized.
Reya dragged her feet to the scene and gulped. Her eyes felt glazed over, and she couldn't close them. She stared at the burnt intestines and the pooling of blackened blood before pulling out her dagger from the wall.
Reya slowly shuffled back to the exit of the arena. All these people were animals, looking only for violence.
She was more terrified of herself, actually.
She was a murderer.

Reya puked inside a trashcan in the bathroom. The smell wouldn't leave her nose, and the scene wouldn't leave her memory.
She looked back in the mirror. The darkened blood was encrusted on her shirt. Reya's eyes were dry.
Earlier, she had wandered around looking for something to do. She had felt completely devoid of life, though not as much as now. She managed to find herself a two-month-old copy of the Dewspin Newspaper, where she found Eo listed as an international criminal.
Apparently Eo was wanted for "murdering half a dozen people" in an attempted assassination of the savior, Kyros, who had a dual-affinity of Water and Heat.
As much as Reya didn't believe, or rather couldn't believe the news, she resolved to confront Eo with this and even kill him if it was true.
After realizing she needed a new set of clothing, she had gone to a clothing department store. After getting her clothes Reya had walked back to the exit of the store when a trapdoor opened and swallowed her into this… disgusting place.
There were some weird guards that tried to snap strange metal bands on her, so Reya managed to escape them by going even further in. After managing to stay hidden for a day, they had promised her "protection" as a "Guest". She just needed to participate in a few games…
Reya splashed some cold water on her face and slumped up against a wall. She wished she was still with Eo and Seraph. Actually, just Seraph. Eo was a murderer. Probably.
