Kiel had never seen a potion before. He had only heard about them. So holding a potion with such close proximity was a new experience for him. even if it was the lowest grade potion.
After all, even the lowest grade potions cost 1 gold coins, forget about the costlier ones. So obviously a simple question comes to mind.
If even the lowest grad potions could only be affordable by the rich, how do the poor and other people make through their daily life?
Well, the answer is herbal concoctions and medicines. Although they did not provide rapid and superior results like potions, they were still useful for the common folks.
"Usually the victims can themselves expel the foreign elements from their bodies. But in case they are unable for some reasons, they can opt for a purification spell from the Radiant Church."
Kiel chuckled with a bitter gaze. "Guess only rich have the right to live. I wonder…!!"
As Kiel was posturing to be a big brother, a sudden thought suddenly struck his mind and a wild idea sprang up in his head.
"TIA! Maybe I can help your friends!"
"Really really are you speaking the truth? Can you really help them? If you can help them I-I am ready to sign even a Blood Soul Contract with you!" Tia replied back while biting her lips hard.
She had lost all her hope regarding adding her precious companions. She seemed to have already lost her soul.
So even if she knew it may be impossible now that her friends may live and in front of her was a boy of only five years of age, somewhere deep in her wanted to believe the possibility with her utmost, so even if it was all a false hope, she would still cling to it.
[Beep… Warning! Tia Waveduke wants to initiate a Blood Soul Contract with you! Do you want to accept? Yes/No!]
"Huh?" Kiel was startled with the sudden notification from the system. And looking at the blurry eyes of the little beauty beside him who had a glitter of hope in her eye, Kiel for a moment was confused about what to do?
'System what is a blood soul contract?'
[Beep… Host Blood Soul Contract is a soul-based contract where the initiator has to submit a part of their blood and soul essence to the acceptor. Functions of this contract include the acceptor holding the reign of life of the initiator and sharing a part of their purified essence to the acceptor.]
'So basically is it a master-slave contract right?'
[Yes! But it is a more advanced technique and can only be applied if the initiator willingly gives his or her consent.]
'So there is no danger to me right?'
[Replying… I can assure you there is no danger! So do you accept?]
'I decline!'
Kiel turned around and walked into the direction Tia pointed. "Quick let's go to the place to the place where the battle took place. I have an idea!"
[Host answer processed! Contract declined!]
Kiel didn't know if the little girl knew that she had initiated a blood soul contract with him and if she will know if he declines the contract.
He could see that the contract was only beneficial to him and there was no harm in it, and further he could solve the problem of his mana absorption without elements. And also Tia was the heir of a dukedom!
And although he was doing all that he could do make her submit, Kiel knew one thing: too much of goodness means poison.
He didn't know that if Tia was actually a naive girl or there was something else in her heart. However, he could not read minds and didn't want to take the chance to see if there was a trap later on.
Even if the system specified that there were no direct traps, maybe involving himself with this lady may lead him into indirect traps. Although Kiel never feared and even loved challenges, even he didn't think it was right to fall into a trap knowingly.
And the most important reason was that he didn't want to take advantage of the contract and bind her now. Living in the modern world, he preferred to show his worth and then let others invest in him. He didn't want to be hasty! Moreover, he had a lot of time!
Tia could only follow the little kid hurriedly after taking a glance back at the girls behind. She had to be quick, otherwise, she would lose everything.
So she unconsciously followed the little back n in front of her. However, what Kiel missed to notice was a weird glint appearing in the middle of her eyes as she followed him. Maybe this glint would mark the beginning of something!

As they reached the place where the body of the beast had fallen, Kiel could unknowingly know the certainty of the place.
There were bloodstains all over, but contrary to their expectation there were no beasts nearby. Even low-level beasts were absent.
Maybe they were deterred by the aura of the dead beast. But whatever reason, it made it easy for them. At a little distance, Kiel even found his sword. Picking up the sword, the two kids came in front of the beast.
The core of most beasts was present in their heads like their human counterparts. So there was no reason to locate the core specifically inside the beast. Kiel placed his sword right above the head of the now-dead beast and stabbed it hard.
Although its hide was still hard, it was dead. So without any energy, Kiel could still dig out the core. Furthermore, he even activated his magnetic vision to locate the black ball which he deemed as the core.
After struggling for a few moments Kiel dug out the core. The core was cyan in colour with the grey colour infringing its surface. This was proof that the beast was a dual attribute beast.
As he held the best core in his hand, it felt in comparatively heavy. Maybe it was because this core was like a mountain of gold for him.
Gulping down at the allure of the core, Kiel for a moment even felt for its temptation. For a moment, Kiel even felt that if he stole the beast, he would have no problem anymore in the future.
"Is this the beast core of the beast?"
As if to wake him up, a little face crept towards his left staring at the beast core with some glitter. Kiel could feel the twitch in his eyebrows from seeing the kid behaving like this. So although reluctant, he still tossed it to her.
"Here you have it."
"Uh? Are you sure?"
"Hmm. This may cure your friends. SO handle it with care."
'Of course, I would give it to you! Although you were a little muddle-headed earlier on, you are still a medius level mage. Your body strength is maybe enough to blow me up. How do I dare to hold on to such a precious object?' However, he could not say it out loud. Who knows what would happen to him later if he spoke as he wished!
Luckily Tia didn't have much wariness towards him because of his help.
"Oh ok! I will keep it safe." The little girl hearing that the core was essential for the treatment was a little doubtful. But still held on tightly.
After tossing the core to her, Kiel swept his eyes all over once, then began walking back again.
"Let's go! It is time!"
***
Kiel had a crazy idea in his mind right now. Well, not so crazy after what's happening all around lately.
As he held the odd combination of grey-cyan coloured core in his hand, he looked at the first guinea pig… ahem, a patient of his experiment.
From his prior observation, Kiel had noticed that the biological field around living beings is similar to that of a magnet. This held true to believed that all living organisms exhibit electromagnetic properties.
And it should be true too. After all, living beings are made from atoms too. They should induce a field around them when provided a certain amount and type of energy. And this energy was mana.
However, from his previous experience, he could deduce that not every organism had a uniform field around him or her.
Kiel even noticed that those who had not formed a core i.e. not achieved level 2 in case of beasts and not achieved the medius rank in case of humans, had a dull and minimum areal field around them.
Whereas those who had a core had shiny and much larger field. If the magnetic field of a magnet could be compared to the life force of a living being, then this core should be where the life force or the essential energy of the organism is most concentrated.
And after noticing the fields around the three unconscious girls, Kiel noticed that their field lines were very weak, frail and almost greyed out. It was so frail that Kiel felt that they would go out anytime now. It meant that their core had stopped generating energy.
His suspicion was further certified when he noticed that the circulating biological field lines within Tia, while there were almost no circulating biological field lines the other three girls.
It was like a magnet being magnetised.
However, Kiel had seen a similar phenomenon within the Wind Shadow leopard previously. It should be dead corresponding to the theory. However, it not only gained its peak strength but also used a berserk skill.
Kiel had a lot of hunting experience so he knew that these Wind Leopard beasts didn't have a berserk skill. So he felt something fishy.
What was more confusing was according to Tia, Wind Shadow Leopards would automatically become level 3 beasts at adults and there cores contained half cyan and half shadow elements. And they were generally smaller than wind leopards.
However, this was one was an extra-large size and its core had little shadow elements. From its size and behaviour, it was definitely not an infant. So it could be rather said that the beast actually Mutated rather than evolved! And there was definitely some cause of this mutation.
"We actually didn't expect the beast to actually mutate! It was because of this that it was able to strike us unexpectedly and gain a win! Sigh what a pity!" Form the bitter looks of the little girl, Kiel could tell that it was because of this beast that they actually took this route.
"Don't worry! I will try my best to save them!" Kiel could only comfort the little girl now.
Unn!"
Kiel was extra cautious because of this to look around if there was anything different about that place.
But it inspired a certain idea within him. If the core was where the most life force was most concentrated, he could maybe induce a similar reaction as what was induced in the Shadow Wind Leopard previously. This could maybe help regain the lives of the girls.
If he could create an induction in the core of the girls, then it would maybe kickstart their energy to circulate within their body, hence building up their life force to circulate again.
This would build their life force within their body and together with the effect of the potions, this could totally heal their bodies completely.
However, all of this was just a theory. And even asking about this to the system didn't give him any clues.
[Host I am created as a mana based lifeform. I have no knowledge about these forces. I can only do what you can, only by a much free degree!]
It was out of his expectations and Kiel didn't expect this as even the almighty system had its own limits. Or it could be said so. After all, he had never seen a scientific system in a magical world. It was contemporary to its world.
'System fill my mental energy when it gets exhausted continuously.'
[Acknowledged Host!]
"Ok! Let's begin!"
His first target was the gentle Shina! He held the beast core tightly in his hands and bought it close to the girl. Although he had a very ingenious idea, he did notice that even if the beast core had a very bright field around it, it was extremely close to the surface. In other words, it was very stable.
So he had to manually change the field direction of the core to generate circulating currents in the core. Kiel first breathed out slowly, then activated his Tranquil State at once. Everything again became as slow as a tortoise in his eyes.
But when he wanted to manipulate the energy lines within the core, he was faced with a problem, the energy was too stable and Kiel didn't know how to circulate the energy within. Even the system refused to help here.
Now he was stuck in a dilemma. He had no elements so he could not use the elemental energy within. Luckily Tia was beside him.
"Tia, can you please circulate the energy within the core?"
"Uhm? I can!"
As Tia came to help forward, Kiel felt the obstructions vanish. He could feel a field form around the core. It was cylindrical. Kiel tried to change the shape of the field and yes he could!
Tia had warned him previously that only the energy inside a beast core was unsuitable for direct human consumption due to its berserk nature.
If he led it into Shina's core, not only would it face obstruction from her, her core may even be damaged due to the berserk nature of the beast core. So he could only use the method of induction.
And just as he was a little away from the core, Kiel could feel a response from her core. Her core vibrated a little like detecting something foreign and started emitting its own field to counteract.
"Success!!"
