The trip took merely 10 minutes.
Or at least it should've.
Hades planted heavily as he collapsed before his destination. Looking at the moon, and how far it had moved along the sky, he could tell that the flight had taken nearly an hour.
He grumbled miserably, and his dead weight leaped off his back joyfully and pranced around energetically.
"Ooh~! That's such a big building! It's way bigger than your house! Do people live here too!" Said the dead weight, who's qi has recovered along her ride.
"No." He answered with merely a grunt, as his back, shoulders, and wings hurt like Pluto had stepped on it. Of course, if the real Pluto stepped on him, even if he was at his peak he would turn to mush.
"Then what is it?" Dead Weight's silver eyes turned to him curiously.
He did not answer this time, and laid limp on the ground pathetically, desperately trying to regain his energy. He circulated the 8 paths slowly, letting the faint tyrant qi nourish his fatigued body.
He had no choice but to fly all the way here, because if he was on the ground, he might've been spotted. But his dark complexion in the night sky was near unrecognizable, similar to a certain movie dragon without teeth.
Since the dead weight was also on top of him, she was not seen either.
Dead weight also seemed to feel bad looking at him.
"Was... was I heavy...?" Or maybe not.
"Yes." He said bluntly. He spared no words to dead weight. He did not consider dead weight as someone to be considerate with.
"Hmph! You don't know how to talk to a girl! You'll die alone!" She looked furious. A question like that only had one right answer, no matter the context.
He did not bother responding, as he didn't care at all. There was really no reason why he should. And him being alone had nothing to do with her.
Besides, he had died alone, it wasn't all that bad.
The only problem was the searing pain of all your flesh burning, but he didn't think that would change whether he was alone or not.
Suddenly he something approach him, he looked toward it immediately.
It was just the dead weight. She looked to be pondering, as well as slightly guilty.
"Hold still."
"No." He did not know what she was trying to do, but he would not allow anyone to do anything without knowing it was completely safe. He didn't know if she was trying to take advantage of his current exhaustion.
"Relax, I'm going to use an ability."
She suddenly whispered something unintelligible, and a silver glow seemed to arise from her body.
Her eyes flashed silver and she moved her feet in strange steps that crossed each other in exotic ways yet did no detriment to her movement. The light seemed to follow her every step as it seemed to swirl around her.
With her last step, a ray of silver light flashed onto him.
He had no experience in avoiding anything like this, as there were definitely no abyssal beasts with laser cannons, so he took the ability head on.
He braved himself for whatever was to come, but in contrast to the pain or curse he was expecting, a warmth spread through his body.
The warmth seemed to make his blood flow involuntarily, as he exhaled a breath a impure air. He felt energy coursing through his veins and his body felt invigorated, as well as lighter for some reason.
"What was that?" He asked, finally gaining the energy to speak full sentences.
"Moondance Offering. It restores energy and increases speed and regeneration. It's one of the skull that allow the Silver Moondance Wolves to lead the pack so well. Its usually done with a howl at the end to target multiple allies, but I omitted it since I don't want to announce to the entire human race where we are." She replied, turning her head to look away from him.
"Why? Didn't you have a grudge against me?" He did not believe in kindness without return.
"Hmph. What did you think I was going to do with you, kill you? How am I going to get back if you're dead?" She harrumphed for the umpteenth time this night and looked away from him, so he could not read her face. Could she be hiding something from him?
"Besides, didn't we already overwrite those grudges?" she said to him absentmindedly.
"Indeed, If you say so, then we no longer have no longer have any enmity." Though he did not completely write it off in his heart. Even if that grudge was written off, that didn't mean he would forget the excruciating hour of an overloaded flight, even if he she did heal his fatigue.
"Hmph, I thought we were friends by now..." she muttered to herself. But Hades' sharp hearing caught it anyway.
"Friends...?" He thought back to the time where they did nothing but talk an entire afternoon.
"S-shut up! It's nothing! What are we doing here anyway?!" She immediately interrupted his thoughts, shouting at him suddenly. She then widely gestured toward the big building with her entire body.
He had almost forgotten about this. It was the entire reason why he came here today. He also intended to come here the other night, but his 'escort' was far too slow.
He had returned to the scene of his crime.
He arrived at the Divine Hall.
