After a period of uncomfortable intimacy, Tyrant was finally released.
The prolonged feeling of helpless contact had started to make his head spin, so he was heavily relieved.
'I have no choice. It's only for a little while. I need to learn more about the species. I can kill her later.' Tyrant tirelessly comforted himself. To be played around with like this hurt his dignity of a unstoppable powerhouse of the Abyss, and the strange feeling in his chest did little to alleviate it. He couldn't help feeling that he was submitting to this pathetic beast.
As he stood on the still unfamiliar ground with dizzy eye, he watched the bizarre animal that gave him so much stress.
After releasing him, he watched it summon a smaller light from a strange object. It was not as bright as before, as there seemed to be some cover over it, dimming the light substantially. Thanks to this, Tyrant was able to grow accustomed to it without feeling like his eyes were being violently pulled out of his sockets.
As his era adjusted, he noticed it pulled out a strange tablet from a neat shelf. It was far more uniform than the ones he was familiar with, which were carved into cave walls, very rough, and was used to place his trophies. This shelf was an independent structure, was tidy and smooth, and had strange trinkets that looked nothing like the body parts of enemies. Along with the trinkets were were tablets with what he presumed to be this specie's script.
It took one of these scripts and somehow split it open, flipping it over to made it twice as long and half as thin. Tyrant was curious, he had never seen such a thing before. All the script of intelligent species he had seen before were carved on stone, dirt, or bark.
Then he saw another thing that blew his mind. He saw her flipping threw it. It seemed normal to the creature, but to Tyrant he saw dozens of characters on tablets thin as insect wings. He realized that many years of history and inheritance which would usually take a massive cave abode wall to record on could be recorded in a small tablet as large as one's paw.
He watched curiously as the creature that captured him flipped through the miraculous object before stopping, seemingly studying it.
Then it grinned before going to another structure in the room, and retrieving what appeared to be a needle, though it was worthless lay small in his eyes. Compared to the abyssal beasts shrouded in thousands of meter-long needles or had vicious spear like stingers, he did not believe it was harmful at all.
Though he thought that he still did not lower his caution, backing away from it and watching the creature's every move.
But to his incredible shock the creature foolishly pierced itself with the needle! He watched with scornful eyes as it raised the needle before pushing it into it's palm. Although it did not enter half a centimeter before she retrieved it, he noticed the blood that came out the wound.
He sighed in relief that the blood was the same color he was used to, but was surprised once more at how thin the hide of this beast was, he presumed it couldn't be thicker than the thin, flexible tablets the thing was studying.
But his vigilance suddenly heightened as he saw the creature point the needle at him. Was this a threat? He growled and swayed his tail, releasing the blade within. He would respond to needles with blades. Though he wanted to cooperate, he would not wait for death.
The creature looked surprised and timid, he could smell a hint of fear in it. It seemed his threat worked this time.
It then pushed the script it was reading to him and pointed at it. Tyrant observed that what he previously thought were large symbols were just pictures.
They depicted a creature like the one before him pricking it's palm, as well as a canine form beast being pricked on this forehead, before the palm and the head making contact.
His anger flared. Was this what the creature wanted? He grew furious because, despite his ignorance of this new world, he recognized the picture of him lowering his head to this creature, he realized it was likely a ritual of submission of some sort.
His eyes grew fiercer as his claws and fangs bared at he swiftly pierced the tablet with his tail in defiance. No matter how cooperative he was willing to be, lowering himself on such a way crossed the line to him.
Although, he did not want to force this creature or whatever community behind it to become hostile, so he did directly kill the creature with a stab to the heart, rather piercing the tablet.
Surprisingly, the blade sunk in like a knife and butter and lodged into the floor. He had thought it would be made of a harder material, and underestimated it. Thus using too much strength and getting stuck in the floor.
He panicked. He had just revealed an opening! He looked to the creature, and found that it had simply retreated fearfully. It was seemingly cowardly, contrary to it's previous fearlessness. Perhaps it had underestimated him, and he overestimated the creature.
Then it kneeled, and placed it's head on the ground, before knocking it's head on it. Was this an apology? Submission? He was surprised.
The creature pointed at the book and put it's hands together as it lowered it's head once more, it appeared to be a plea.
Why was it desperately asking for a show of submission by showing one itself? He was confused.
Thinking a bit, he decided it must be some local ritual that this species was required to do with strangers.
Eventually, he relaxed, and thought that the ritual didn't seem to be very harmful, and that the creature made such a plea, so he should reciprocate it.
Sighing, he personally pricked his own forehead with his claw and sat down lazily, he wanted to do this on his own terms.
As he felt the trickle of blood run down his face, he saw the creature grow excited, before eagerly placing it's hand on his head, allowing the two wounded areas to make contact, then muttered something that sounded a little different from the language he heard previously.
Suddenly, he felt his body grow cold. He trembled uncontrollably and his body grew increasingly heavy as he involuntarily began to kneel. His head started to shine and glittering blood began to seep out his head.
What was this?! He could barely control his body! This must've been a trap! What impossible witchcraft did this world hold?! First the mysterious blade of wind, the intricate structures, and now this?!
He roared furiously. He refused to be subdued like this!
