Lets use all our senses today.
Describe them out one by one.
It's a wonderful spring day today.
Days like today I feel grateful for my life.
I hear water running, wind in the trees, and my sons nonsensical babble.
No stress, no clouds and the smell of flowers.
I smell, peonies, tulips, and fresh cut grass.
I also smell my tomato plants in the garden.
I feel my fingers strike the keys on my laptop.
I feel the grass brush my legs as I sit in the field.
I feel the wind gently lift my hair.
And I feel my glasses rest on the bridge of my nose.
I can taste my cold iced tea.
And the left over taste of my tooth paste.
I taste the menthol in my cigarette as I smoke.
And I taste the mint gum I chew after.
I see leaves as they drift down from the trees.
I see my sons shoes stomp on the grass as he runs.
I see a cat that has come to say hello.
I see a beautiful day to be alive today.

Using all your senses in a descriptive way can help with anxiety.
It's the best way to ground yourself.
