Jenifer stayed over Ellis house until 2am, she was fully drunk. Ellis wanted to make sure Jenifer got home safely. Jenifer gave Ellis her address, once Ellis pulled into Jenifer's driveway he helped her out the car and into her house. Jenifer flopped on her couch. Ellis put her feet up on the couch and covered her with a blanket. Ellis then decided to leave. As Ellis was leaving he heard Jenifer whisper, "Thank you Ellis."
Ellis got in his car and drove home. He had another plan for him and Jenifer later, maybe go to Little Rock and go to their annual June 1st festival. Ellis retired to his bedroom, he needed to get some much needed sleep.
Jenifer woke up to her cell phone ringing, she looked at the caller ID, it was her mother, it was 7:30am. "Hello mother, why are you calling so early?" Jenifer mother sounded very chipper, "Well darling, it's the Little Rock, Arkansas June 1st going into summer festival, this year my prize Blueberry Cobbler will be there, maybe you and Elliot can make the trip." Jenifer sighed, "Mother, Elliot and I are no longer together, we broke up a week ago." "What, broke up, what happened Jenifer?" "Mom, remember Ellis Rosemare?" "yes, the jerk who left town and hurt my baby, what does he have to do with this?" Jenifer sat up, ,"Mom, he's back in town for good, the Batesville Newspaper just hired him as their new Chief Editor." "So, Jenifer what caused this break up." "Mom long story short, Elliot caught Ellis and I kissing at the Breakfast café, I tried to ignore Ellis, he grabbed my arm and kissed me, I got caught up in the moment and kissed him back." "Ugh, you stupid girl, well I hope you realize you messed up, and Ellis is bad news." Jenifer was finished listening to her mother. "Bye mother." Jenifer hung up her cellphone, went into the bathroom, took her shower, gargled, and brushed her long Auburn ringlets, Jenifer was mixed, her mother black and father white Irish, Jenifer was a toffee complex with red freckles and Auburn hair color. she also looked at her body, she was 5'8 and curves in the right spots. As Jenifer was putting her hair up, her cellphone rang once more, this time it was Ellis. Jenifer answered the phone.
"Hello, Mr. Rosemare." Jenifer could tell Ellis was smiling on the phone, "Hello, Ms. Jones, how are you feeling after an eventful evening?" "I'm better thanks for asking." just the sound of Ellis voice sent shivers down Jenifer's back. Ellis is a tall 6'3 athletic build masculine man, his skin tone like a mocha with a splash of milk, hair brownish tan, hr has a little goatee, both of his parents are African American. "I'm glad to hear of that, I was wondering perhaps if you'd like to accompany me to the Taste of the Summer Festival in Little Rock, AR in a while." Jenifer was honored. " Ellis, that sounds like a great idea. "Great, how about I pick you up by 10am, I'm just doing a little something at the office this morning." "Oh, sure I'll be ready." "Excellent, I'll see you in a bit." Jenifer hung up the phone, that sounded more like a job assignment. Jenifer thought to herself, she has to be really comfortable with Ellis, but it will be kind of hard knowing that they dated one another.
