It was 10:30am when Ellis finally arrived at Jenifer's house, Ellis rang the doorbell, Jenifer came to the door, she was looking good, she had on a short blue jean skirt, with a mid drift sequence blouse, and a blue jean jacket vase, with her white and blue sandals, I her hair in a cute messy bun, "Hello, Ellis you're finally here." "yes, and I brought you some beautiful yellow roses." Ellis presented the roses, Jenifer smelled them and smiled. " Thank you Ellis this is very sweet of you." Ellis stood in the doorway grinning. "Uh, I'm going to put these roses in a vase, make yourself comfortable on the couch. Ellis came in and closed the door, and sat on the couch. he looked around and seemed very impressed. Jenifer came back into the living room, "you know Jenny I could use you as my own personal decorator, your home looks incredible."
"Thank you Ellis, so are you ready to go?" "Certainly, let's go have some fun." Jenifer and Ellis got in his Ford Escalade Black Suv. Wow, this is nice, you did not bring me home in this vehicle last night did you?" "Nope, my baby just got delivered to me this morning." "Oh, so this is yours you paid for it in full?" "yes, Jenifer, I was a very wealthy journalist in Washington DC, but I had the opportunity to come back home, so I did. "yes, you did, and did you come back for me?" Ellis looked Jenifer in her eyes, "To be honest, not at first, I wanted to finally be the boss of something and now I am, but Jenifer after seeing you in that café, I knew then you are my other reason for coming back. It was 11:45am when Ellis and Jenifer pulled into the Festival. everything looked so great, Jenifer thought about getting on the on the ferris wheel. Ellis remember when were like seventeen and you convinced me to get on that big ferris wheel." Ellis chuckled, yes and you were so nervous, I held your hands and once we sat down you stopped shaking." Ellis and Jenifer got out the vehicle, and began walking toward the ticket line. Ellis pulled out his wallet, , "How much is the tickets?" The ticket lady looked at Ellis, they are $20 a piece, if you want to buy a meal ticket pack for all the food booths that will be$25 dollars a piece, trust me we have some good food here."
"Okay, here ya go." Ellis got the tickets,
he and Jenifer went inside the fair.
Jennifer got excited, "oh Ellis this looks very exciting, they must have some new rides in here". Ellis and Jennifer walk throughout the festival, the first ride Jennifer wanted to get on was the merry-go-round. "C'mon Ellis, it will be like old times." Ellis got on one horse and Jenifer got on the horse besides him. The ride started to go around, Ellis and Jenifer was laughing. After the ride was over, Ellis and Jenifer got on more fascinating rides, and played games, they started remembering when they were younger, Jenifer was glad that she came to the Festival with Ellis. "Hey Jenifer, are you hungry yet?" "I'm famished." "How about we go to Fish bar, or do you want BBQ. Jenifer thought to herself, I'll go with the BBQ, Mr. Leon makes the best ribs in all of Arkansas."
Ellis, patted his belly, "Whew, Jenny you didn't lie, this is delicious." Jenifer wiped her mouth, "Mmm.. hmm.. I'm actually full, but I have room for a dessert special, it's booth number 7 I believe." "Oh great I love a good dessert, especially blueberry cobbler." Jenifer smiled, "You're in for a treat, let's go." Ellis and Jenifer walked down to booth number 7 Jenifer's mom was standing there selling her cobblers. Ellis and Jenifer was next in line. "Oh, Jenny you made it dear." "yes, mom I made it, you remember Ellis Rosemare." Diane, squinted her eyes, " yes I remember Mr. Rosemare, How are you doing Mr. Rosemare?" Ellis nodded, "I'm well Mrs. Jones." "Ahh, good, you know I here you're the new Chief Editor at Batesville Newspaper congrats to you." "Thank you Mrs. Jones, uh I'd like two fresh pieces of your blueberry cobbler delight with vanilla ice cream to go please." "oh sure thing Mr. Rosemare, that will be $15 please." "I have a ticket voucher." "I'm sorry, that only works on like the hotdog stands or pizza," "Alright then here ya go." Jenifer looked a little worried, Ellis wasn't smiling and neither was her mother." "Okay Mr. Rosemare, I'll see you around, Jenifer, don't be a stranger, by the way Elliot is here with a beautiful young lady, maybe you two will run into one another, have fun." Ellis and Jenifer left her mom's dessert booth, Ellis gave Jenifer her treat. "so I guess you had a good little laugh at my expense huh, your mother definitely remembers me and she hates my guts." Jenifer took a bite of her cobbler. "Ellis, my mother doesn't hate you, she's just skeptical of you being back, because of your little disappearing act." " well trust me I'm very sorry about that, I'll be making that up to you for as long as I live."
it was getting late, the last ride Ellis and Jenifer got on was the Ferris wheel. Ellis gave the ride operator his and Jenifer's ticket. They both took their seat and waited for the ride to begin. "Ellis, this has been a great day hanging with you, us getting to know one another again, this is where our relationship began.
The ride began, and as the ride went around and Ellis and Jenifer was at the top, they could see the beautiful view and the stars, Ellis took this opportunity to truly get back that moment he and Jenifer fell in love, he wrapped his arms around Jenifer, she leaned on his broad shoulders and looked up at him, he leaned his face down toward Jenifer lips, and they shared the most passionate, intimate kiss. Jenifer sighed, "Ellis, thank you for making me remember, you don't know how much I missed you since you've been gone." "Jenifer, I've missed you as well, I wanted to call you so many times, I just never got up the courage to, but when I was called to come back to Arkansas, i jumped on the first plane out of DC. I knew you and I could get back together."
