Chereads / Not A Normal Girlfriend / Chapter 39 - Chapter 38

Chapter 39 - Chapter 38

I never imagined that this would be the last meet I was having with her. It's been five fucking days, I didn't even get a call back from her and not attending my calls, and also absent in the class. Things were changing drastically between us. I even tried to call her father to know her whereabouts but no response from him.

My heart started beating fast every time my mobile rings. Later in the evening at my home, I was lying on the sofa and calling her mother. As soon as she lifted, my breath almost stopped for a second.

I asked her about Prachi, and she told me that Prachi went with a friend to a restaurant. Her mother also added that she imagined me when Prachi told her about a friend. I denied with a smile; asked her the restaurant and hung up the call.

"Who might be?"

For the next five minutes, I called every friend of her to know about Prachi, badly.

"Why am I calling everyone?"

As soon as I dialled her number, she lifted the call.

"Hello!"

I was overwhelmed after hearing her comforting voice.

"Hello?" she said again.

I acted like I was angry at her and said, "Where are you, idiot? I'm trying to reach you since Monday, and—today is Friday!"

She didn't respond to me.

"At least, tell me, why are you avoiding my call?"

"I'm outside with my mom. I'll call back later, ok? Bye!"

"What?"

"Outside? With her mom?"

"Hello!—Hello!" she hung up.

I called her mom again, but this time, I asked where her mom is.

She answered, "Kid, I'm at home, and if you doubt on me, let's have a video call. You have your laptop with you, right?"

"No! No! It's okay, Aunt."

"I believe you," I embarrassed.

She grinned, "Its okay!"

"Is everything alright between you both?" she asked.

"Oh, there's nothing between us, Aunt."

I hung up and called Prachi again.

"Where are you?" I shouted.

I was hearing a boy voice beside her.

"Don't call me, Raghav! My dad is also with me!" she said and hung up the call. "Why don't you understand?" she got irritated.

"What's going on?"

Why she had to lie to me in the first place? I lost my trust within seconds, but still, I had a hope of listening to the truth.

As soon as she lifted the call, she hung up the call before I tell her not to cut it. After consecutive calls, she switched off her mobile.

"Something is wrong!"

Later that night, she messaged me that her father grabbed her phone and switched it off.

I was fed up listening to her lies even though I knew the truth, already. These were the questions, coming in my mind, continuously. Even if I haven't done anything wrong, my world has accepted to apologize to her because no matter what, none should lose the people, they love.

My bed was looking very dirty. Moreover, how one could expect a clean home from a bachelor. I might miss my mother and want her badly, but it would not return her in any means of possible.

I relaxed on the bed and replied to her to meet me tomorrow in college. She denied and called me.

She lowered her voice and said, "Baby!"

"Your baby doesn't give me love anymore."

"Yes, baby!" I gave an unwanted smile.

"Since Monday, I haven't contact you—don't you want to know why?" she picked out the issue.

"Yes—Yes! It would be appreciated if you tell me whatever you hid!" I sighed.

I got up and walked to the window, looking at the moon.

"Say!" I shouted.

I might startle her as she was breathing heavily with a laugh.

"Don't be so angry, Baby! I'll tell you."

"Then say it!" I screamed.

"Should I tell you tomorrow?" she feared.

"Ok!" I hung up.

"What the fuck is wrong with Prachi? This is it!"

"I don't want this girl in my life anymore."

I started feeling no love for her. Not only is me, the person who lies, the one who will lose the love early.

She called me again.

"Hello?" I said, angrily.

"Raghav, don't be so angry."

"—Please listen to—"

"Yes, I'm listening." As I opened the window, the air started changing my mood, and the waves turned me into smiles within the fraction of seconds.

"You remember when you told me not to talk to Jayesh."

"Uh-oh! Go on."

"So—I—"

"I was angry at you after hearing that."

"—I even told you that I have no problem."

"Wait, why he is in this conversation," I doubted.

"What Jayesh has to do with your answer?" I questioned, leaning back.

"He—he is the reason, I stopped talking to you."

"What the hell are you saying?"

"—is he—what? How?"

She left me blank from all sides.

I took a deep breath and asked, "Who is more important you? Me or Jayesh?"

"That's not the issue. I didn't like the way you said!"

"Prachi—I forgot everything already."

"But I did not," she said, abruptly.

"Look—it was you who tried to take me away from my friends."

"And I love my friends more than anyone."

"Didn't you make Bhargav away with me?"

"He was meant to be your stranger, and I don't like you, talking to him."

"Enough!" I said.

"Who do you want? Me or your so-called childhood friend?"

"What the situation I am stuck in between?"

"How can she not say that I want you?"

My mistake was that I hoped well between bad and worse.

"Is your answer going to hurt me?"

"Maybe," she said.

"Let's break up!" I hung up the call.

I smashed my phone on to the ground out of anger. Though I control my words, she would know how exactly my temper has gone, and whatever we do in angry, they aren't from the heart.

"Is she crying now?"

"Why will she? She has her friend, right?"

"So, what? Everything is her mistake—How can you do this to me?—ME, your boyfriend!" I pointed out aloud.

"You freaking fucking idiot!"

The whole night, I just stared at the waves, waving smoothly. The anger I have shown was just a mirage on the desert.

"Maybe, I'm overdoing things which I shouldn't in the least."

"Did she come into the relationship with someone else?"

"Or did she think I'm not right for her?"

"How can she think about me like that?"

The question, I was asking to me has raised doubts about her loyalty.

My mobile was all over the place because of my force. I picked up every piece and attached it.

There was a little crack on the screen, but it was ok to use. It was at midnight, as soon as I switched on the mobile, I saw 30 missed calls and 50 new message(s) from Prachi

"I did the biggest mistake in our love, but she just accepted it as a wise person!"

"And I started hating you from all my heart!"

While I was typing the message, I stopped me, asking why I should message her.

"Love becomes better, and best if we wait!"

I went to bed and slept peacefully.

"Prachi—I love you!"

The next day morning, I received 10 missed calls from her and sorry messages with love emoji. When I opened Facebook, I saw a post by her, which was apologizing for their mistake.

"I must apologize for the most important person in my life!"

The moment she saw me online on Facebook, she sent me hugging and sad pictures.

I blushed but didn't message back.

Prachi: Hero! Message me at least, now!

Prachi: Darling, I love you so much! You look very handsome even in anger, do you know?

"Ummmmmaahhhhhhh! Love you, my fatso!" she messaged.

I was just looking at the messages and blushing.

"Fine! Meet you at the college. :*:*!" she went offline.

That symbol indicated kisses at that time.

"So, there's nothing like she got someone else."

On the other side of my mind said, "What if she's lying to you!"
