I smiled at him, waiting for her answer but, I heard nothing from her.
"Should I?" I asked.
"You're my friend, Raghav."
It shook me upside down when she told me that I'm her friend.
"Are we friends?"
"Raghav, please! Not now."
She was getting angry at me instead.
"Hell, you! Why don't you fucking tell him that I'm your boyfriend, Ba--Prachi!" I yelled at her.
That bastard, Jayesh, pushed me and told me to stay away from them. Out of anger, I punched him in the face, and the next second, she slapped me, holding my collar.
"You are nothing to me, Raghav! Please, leave."
She bet me so hard that I couldn't even imagine about it. The public around the street was staring at me, and for my self-respect, I left to the college.
He was calling her bitch, etc when she asked him to leave.
"Then why did you come with me at night for five days?" he questioned, stressing his voice.
I stopped there to hear her what she would say.
"I-I don't love you, Jayesh! I'm getting late to college," she stammered.
After hearing this, I didn't hear any words from them but, I waited there for her.
All of a sudden, she held my hand took me along with her.
"What's this going on?"
"Leave my hand!"
"Do you know me?" I asked.
She asked me to maintain silence.
I looked back to check whether he's still there or not but, he already left.
"He is gone!" I said.
"Slowly! Slowly!"
She ordered me to shut my mouth for a while, and we entered college.
"Stop! Will you tell me now, what's happening?"
She took me behind a bus and slapped me.
"Why didn't you message me, Idiot?"
"Why?" she started crying and hugged me tightly.
"Wha--why are you slapping me, Prachi?" I pushed her and slapped.
She wiped her tears and said, "I'm sorry for everything! Please, don't leave me."
I held her either shoulders and yelled, "What mistake did you make?"
She looked down under shame.
"TELL ME!" I screamed.
"It's hurting, Raghav!" she pressed her voice, crying.
The tears went down to her cheeks when she closed her eyes and said, "I stopped talking you for that bastard!"
"Jayesh?" I asked.
"I told you that I've no problem if you talk to him!"
"Sorry!"
"Why, sorry? Did you—"
"Did you sleep with—?"
She looked at me, angrily and asked, "Am I looking like a bitch?" she sniffed.
"Tell me the truth, fucking idiot!" I shouted.
"Hey, who's there?" someone asked from a distance.
I hushed her and heard the footsteps, which was getting louder and louder.
We hid beneath the bus and asked her to maintain silence. The driver looked around and walked back to the bus.
She laughed and kissed on my cheeks; she moved her fingers on my cheeks and asked whether it's hurting or not.
I nodded, and she kissed me again.
I blushed and asked her to repeat.
"Let's leave now!" she laughed.
"Ok!"
As I was moving out, she held my hand.
"What?" I asked, looking back.
"I love you!"
I grinned, "Ok, I love me too!"
"Let's go!" I gave my hand to her.
She held my hand and came out of the bus, "Thanks!"
For the next few days, we were normal like before, but in a relationship, everyone feels like they are husband and wife. She started arguing with me for everything I do. Her caring left me nothing but hate while talking to her. The love I had for her was turning into disgust. Though I felt that she was caring about me, it was extreme which one could bare enough, and then I started using cuss words at her to tell her indirectly that not to love me more. The more I used those words, the more she showed her love for me. These things made her lose respect in my life.
In the evening at thirty past six, I was on the sofa and fed up by the way she was treating me with her love and called her to stop this stupidity.
"Hello!"
"Hm—You are late by one minute," she said.
"Do we even have timings?" I chuckled.
"Don't we?" she questioned and cut the call before I answer.
I tried to call her back but, she cut the call after every one time ring. Later I found out that she blocked me from everywhere. Her behaviour was frightening me. I tried to call their friends and requested them to tell her to unblock me from everywhere. When they asked me what happened again, I answered them by putting me on the front line. One of her friends even asked me whether I took an oath for making her cry every day or not. From her words, I could clearly state that Prachi's friends are as stupid as she is.
Other than her, Bhargav was the second stupidest person in my life.
"Is your mind got replaced by stone?" I messaged her.
"Fuck off! Don't message me," she replied.
I giggled at her stupid messages and leaned on the sofa. Even though I get annoyed by her, I love her to the peaks. It was my turn to annoy her, so, I messaged whether she knows her friend or not.
"Who?" she replied.
"Jayesh!" I messaged with a laughing emojis.
"Why do you bring him between us?" she asked.
"I casually brought him. No offence!"
"No! No! You're not a casual person. I know what you are. Enough talking. Do you think that I slept with Jayesh?"
"I never said that!"
I got a call from her.
"Oh!" she clapped. "What acting, Sir!"
"Prachi! I didn't mean to—"
"Then what do you mean to say?" she questioned, annoyingly.
"I just took his name, Prachi. Please, don't make this an issue now!"
"Oh, now I'm making this an issue—"
"Raghav, why did you take his name? Yes, I slept with him. I slept for five consecutive nights when I stopped talking to you."
"What are you talking about? Do you have any sense?"
"Are you telling me the truth?" I asked.
"Fuck you, bastard! See, you doubted me, and now, I cleared everything with you."
"Hey, listen to me, bitch! First of all, I didn't say anything if you talk to him—Second, you can sleep with anyone you want—and I fucking don't care. You understand?"
"How dare you call me a bitch!" she shouted.
"I see! When that Jayesh called you bitch, you didn't even raise your voice, and now, you are getting angry at me!"
"Bitch!"
"Yes!" she exclaimed. "I'm angry at you because--"
"—Because what?"
"Hello!"
"Hello!"
She hung up the call.
I hit my head with whatever I got in my hands because I didn't want to live anymore.
"Why this love is so hard to understand?"
"—And why her love is struggling to live with me?"
While I was eating my dinner, peacefully, a message popped up on my mobile. It was from Abhishek, my engineering friend.
"I've two tickets for I, will you come?"
"Which movie?" I messaged.
"I movie starring Vikram Chiyaan," he answered.
And I got a message from Prachi.
"We need to talk. Meet me tomorrow at 5 p.m. at the beach."
"At what time we have the show, Abhi?" I asked him.
"1p.m.!"
"Done, I'm coming!" I replied.
