I looked around for a pen, even a pencil might work. My mom was gesturing me to find it faster. I looked in my old school bag. No. Under and above the desk. No. Under my bed. Yes. I finally found it, but it didn't have a cap on it I guess it will work. I picked up a note pad and handed it to my mother. She took it from me and started writing, but stopped and looked up at me. "It is not working." She sighed and walked out still talking on her phone.
I picked up my phone and dialed Suzan. She picked up at the second ring. "Hello babe!" She screamed from the phone.
"Hi. I want to go shopping." I said.
She gasped on the phone. "Who are you?" She said dramatically.
"I'm serious."
"Geez, I'll call Tiana." And with that, she hung up.
I picked my car keys from the bedside table and picked up my shoulder bag and left my house.
Suzan Grace one of my best friends. She's the weirdest and the most dramatic of us. She's a brunette with hazel eyes. She's got thick eyebrows which her mother won't allow to shape it, and she can't even raise it in an intimidating way, her words not mine. She is also one of the two cupids of our school.
I reached the mall in twenty minutes. I got out of my car and walked inside through the sensor door. I found Suzan and Tiana talking. Since their houses are closer to the mall, they always get here first.
Tiana Carson short, blonde and brown eyed. She is also in the relay team in our school. She herself is dramatic well in front of us, the others think that she's an angel.
I waved at them and made my way towards them. "Hello!" Tiana exclaimed.
"Hello to you too!" I said in the same tone.
"So let us start with Zara." Suzan turned and started moving towards the said store.
I grabbed her arm and stopped her. "When I said shopping I meant back to school shopping." I said.
"Really? There's still a week left for school to reopen." She looked at me like I was some alien.
"Five days. There are five days left not a week."
"I should have known." She muttered. "But we can still do the wardrobe shopping." She said happily.
"We doing that for the whole month." Tiana joined.
"Can we not waste more time and just start the shopping spree?" She didn't wait for an answer but marched to the nearest store which so happened to be Zara.
I grabbed her arm once again and stopped her again. "Vans or Adidas." I said.
After shopping for two hours, we went to Tim Hortons. We huddled in one of the free tables which had four chairs we dropped some of our bags on the chair and the rest were left on the ground. Suzan and Tiana left to buy something for them and fir me, while I stayed behind guarding our shopping bags. They returned in five minutes and they bought me a strawberry banana milkshake with a rees' doughnut. "Thanks." I said.
"Your welcome." Suzan said.
"Look that guy over there is staring at you Suzan ." Tiana said and when Suzan was about to turn she said or more like yelled. "Don't look."
Suzan frowned. "You just said 'look'."
"Well, I was saying that to Ferrero." She said back.
"He's coming this way." I said, stopping whatever Suzan was about to say.
He smiled at us when he reached our table. "Hello." He greeted, he had a British accent, which wasn't common in this place. "I'd just like to know-"
Suzan cut him off by showing him the palm of her hand, then she whispered something to Tiana. Tiana nodded her head and took out her phone and in a few seconds 'No' by Meghan Trainor.
"I think it's so cute and I think it's so sweet
How you let your friends encourage you to try and talk to me." Suzan mouthed those words. The people around us were staring to stare at us since the song was loud but not too loud that the whole place was staring at us. I mouthed a 'sorry' to them cause I'm sure it's annoying them.
"But let me stop you there, oh, before you speak
Nah to the Ah to the No, No, No
My name is No
My sign is No
My number is No
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go"
I grabbed the phone out of Tiana's hand and pressed the home button, and so the song stopped. "Really dude?" I whispered in Suzan's ears.
"What? Look at his face, he got a player's face and his accent trying to sweep the ladies off their feet." Indeed he was good looking, but not the sort of guy I would go for.
"But don't you love a British accent?" I whispered to her.
The guy cleared his throat, asking us to give him some attention. "Thanks by the way." He said addressing to me and smiled.
I smiled back. "Your welcome."
"I'm not here to ask for your name nor your sign or your number." He chuckled a deep chuckle. "Well my boyfriend over there," He pointed over the other table where a boy our age was sitting, the boy blushed when he noticed that we turned our attention over to him for a second, he looked like a very red tomato. Tiana chocked on her drink, I rubbed her back and gave her the water bottle which we bought on our shopping spree. "Are you alright miss?" Miss? Okay, he looked like a gentleman. Tiana nodded her head. "Ok so like I was saying my boyfriend over there he loves your nail color it's not quite common, well he said that and he wants to know where did you buy it from. Can you please tell me?"
I finally turned my attention to Suzan her face was horrified, she got up from her seat and walked to the washroom without a second word. "Did I say something wrong?" He asked then after exactly ten seconds.
"Nah, maybe she wants to wash her hands." Said Tiana.
"And about the nail polish maybe she bought it from Claire's or Sephora." She loves those two shops so I think she really did buy it from there.
"Thanks."
"Your welcome." I said

I dropped my bags on my bed and walked towards my father's study. I knocked on the door, and opened it when I heard a 'come in'.
"Did you call me dad?" I asked my father who was sitting on the swivel chair.
"Yes take a seat." I did as I was asked to. "I'm not going to waste any time. As you know our company is going down because of The Connors. Arden McDonall was kind enough to help." I nodded my head.
"He sure is kind. But how is he going to help us?" I asked.
"You know his sons."
"Yeah Caleb and Calum." Caleb McDonall one of the kindest person on this earth. He helps everyone and never bullied anyone and he's the quarterback and the captain of football in our school. He's one of my best friend and my crush. But the thing that sucks is Caleb is dating the queen-B and is the head cheerleader Marcie Smith. Calum McDonall he's the exact opposite of Caleb he's the bad boy of our school. He is the definition of trouble and he loves pickles. Now how did I come to know that? Suzan had a crush on him a long time ago so she stalked him for a whole month before moving on to someone else. There are rumors that he dates college girls though I'm not sure.
"Yeah, he said his son should date my daughter. Well, it might attract the paparazzi's attention. You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
I looked down at my hands trying to hide my smile. All my life I wanted to be Caleb's girlfriend and now the opportunity is right in front of me. Will I decline it? Hell no! Maybe Caleb and Marcie broke up.
I looked up at my father after I made a serious face. "I will, but not because I want to, but only because of the hundreds of people out there. They'll have to starve their families if they don't get any other job." I said.
"That's great!" My father said happily. "I don't think you have Calum's number, or do you? If you don't then I'll give you. Arden gave it to me a few minutes ago."
"Wait-wait Calum?"
"Yes, Ferrero you are now fake-dating Calum McDonall."
