Chereads / My Crush's Brother / Chapter 2 - Chapter Two.

Chapter 2 - Chapter Two.

I paced my room. First I have to date Calum the bad boy. Second I have to bare all the haters. Third Caleb said that he wouldn't date with me. And fourth I have to go for Dinner with the whole McDonall family. Things can't get any better. Note the sarcasm.

I wore my white lace skater dress which reached just above my knees. I got in my pair of brown gladiators. And as for the makeup, I applied eyeliner on one eye but while applying on the other my hand shook and it looked like mountains. I wiped them off with the makeup remover and set on mascara and some lipgloss.

I think I'm ready to go physically but not mentally. I sighed but I'll have to go anyways so I made my way towards the front door and waited for them to come. They arrived in a minute.

"Oh, honey you look gorgeous." My mom said. Why wouldn't she, since she's my mom. Every daughter is beautiful to their parents. But others don't share the same thoughts.

"Thank you, mom. You look gorgeous too." Indeed she looked gorgeous, she was very beautiful. I always wanted to be like her. She is strong and beautiful. I'm not.

My father gave me a big smile. I smiled back at him. How could I have said a 'no' to him when he told me that I should fake date with Calum. Even if I had said a 'no' would he know that I have a crush on Caleb?

We got in the car. Yes all of us in a car though I want to drive my own car since it's been only a month since I got my license. But I didn't. I seated myself in the backseat with my five-year-old brother Jason Rocher. He is an angel in front of others and he only shows his true colors when he's alone with me. He always hid my pens and pencils. He ate my banana the other day when there was only one left. He also finished all my paint, I know I suck at painting but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't try.

We were going to some five-star restaurant in town. We reached there in twenty-five minutes.

Caleb was waiting outside the restaurant. Maybe he is waiting for me. I smiled. Maybe he came to know that he belongs with me. I hummed the tune of the said song. My parents went inside the restaurant with Jason and I walked to Caleb.

"Hey!" I said cheerfully.

"Hello." He said back.

"You waiting for someone?" I asked. I wanted him to say something like, 'yeah I'm waiting for you always have and always will.' But he didn't.

"Yeah I'm waiting for Marcie." My smile dropped. "She insisted that she wants to come here with me

"Oh." I said. "I guess I'll be going in there." I said and scurried away before he stopped me or I start crying.

The door was opened for me and I thanked the man. I breathed in and out trying to calm myself down. Hoping that my eyes didn't turn red. I walked to the lady who was standing on a platform.

She smiled at me. "Good evening miss. How can I help you?"

"I'm here with Rochers and McDonalls." I said.

"Follow me please." I did. My parents, Jason and Caleb's parents were sitting together having a chat. Whereas Calum was sitting on another table alone doing something on his mobile, maybe he is playing a game since he was tilting the gadget right and left. I wonder what game is he playing. I went and took a seat in front of him. Now there are two more seats left. I noticed he was wearing his usual attire, which consists of a leather jacket, with a sweat shirt. He always dressed like this, even on Christmas last year. He had gray eyes with raven black hair. His lips were smirking- wait smirking?

"You still checking me out?" He asked.

I blushed, I should have stayed back with Caleb. Just then Caleb and Marcie entered the picture. Marcie was wearing a very short dress, which stopped just below her butt.

"Hello." Marcie said in a flirty voice, I'm sure that was directed to Calum. He ignored her, by going back to his game. She didn't give up she sat next to him. And Caleb took the last seat which was next to me. I thanked God for this.

"Guess who's birthday is in four days?" Marcie questioned.

"Cameron Diaz's?" The girl at the table next to ours said. I stifled a laugh. Marcie glared at her. "What? It's her birthday in four days."

"Nicky!" An older woman scolded her. "I'm so sorry." She said to us.

"It's alright," I said back and smiled.

"So as I was saying it's my birthday in four days, before I was rudely interrupted. So you are invited, well both of you." She said indicating to me and Calum. "And it's going to be a fancy dress birthday party. Oh and you won't be able to enter without a date. Ferrero you and your friends are invited."

"I'll try to come." I said the truth is I'm not going to go to her birthday party. I don't like going to parties. If Suzan and Tiana comes to know they'll somehow drag me with them. And if my mom comes to know I'll have no way out.

The waiter arrived shortly, we gave our orders.

Marcie and Caleb soon started talking, about the birthday which will be held in four days. They then talked about their costumes, which they were planning on wearing the same. The food arrived soon. I dug in since I'm hungry.

I winced when my phone beeped suddenly with a message. I checked it was from an unknown number.

'What's with the sour face?' It said.

I looked up Caleb and Marcie were still conversing, Calum was looking at his lap maybe he was still playing under the table. I looked around there was a boy our age staring at our table or should I say under our table at Marcie's legs but he didn't have a cell in his hand.

'Who are you?' I fought the urge to type 'and how did you find me'

'Someone who is loved by all women.' I got a text back. I knew whoever this person is smirking right now and is a male specimen.

'Spider-Man? Is that you?' I typed sent it.

'Cocky? Are we?' I got a text back.

'I'm not the cocky one here you are so you're supposed to say, -I'm cocky-' I type back.

'Nah I guess I should say -you are feisty-' I blushed. No ones ever called me feisty before, I was always known as the quiet and innocent one.

"Honestly will you both stop flirting!" Marcie said everyone's head who was sitting on this table's head snapped. Even Nicky was staring at Marcie. Marcie looked pissed.

"Who is flirting with whom?" Caleb asked slowly. He looked confused we all were.

"These two." She replied pointing at me and Calum. My face grew hotter. Think about something bad I told myself. I thought about Llamas going extinct, bananas loosing their taste. I again felt my face going back to normal.

"Um, Marcie are you alright?" He asks her. She looked at him in unbelief.

"Why will you say that?" She retorted.

"You know that they weren't even talking, so how were they flirting?" He asks.

"There are many ways of flirting, and one of them is flirting while texting. One doesn't simply blush while texting on their cells and you don't find many people with the name 'Ferrero Rocher'" she said.

I knew that I knew that Marcie likes Calum and is using Calum for that, but how am I supposed to tell him?

Calum laughs. "Oh, so you are a stalker now?"

"I'm not a stalker." She said lowering her voice.

"Will you all stop this? We are here to have a normal dinner here. If you want to fight go and fight outside. Nicky said.

We stopped when the waiter arrived again, to take our order for the desserts. Our parents came to our table Jason holding my mom's hand.

"We're planning on going to the orchestra. Who would like to join?" Caleb's mother said kindly.

"Oh, I wanna go!" Marcie squealed. I didn't know that Marcie was interested in that.

"I don't want to go," I said just as Calum said. "I don't want to go."

"Calum why don't you drop her to her house?" Calum's mother said.

Before I could say no, mom beat me to it. "Oh yes, that's a great idea!" Mom was playing cupid again, she's lucky this time, her wish gonna come true even though we were gonna fake date. But I'm sure that'll make her happy.

"No mom I'll take the cab." I tried saying but did she listen? No. I didn't want to but there's nothing wrong in trying.

"Let's go." She said ignoring me. They piled out of the door, while I stared at them with open mouth.

"Look a fly is coming your way," Calum said sarcastically.

I shut my mouth at that. We got out of the restaurant. There were many cars parked outside. He walked towards one of the cars here it was a black car I didn't know which model is that since I'm not good at guessing cars. We walked past the car and to a motorbike standing next to the said car.

"Wait isn't that your car?" I asked.

He raised his eyebrow. "Who said that?" I blinked back, well no one did. He got on the bike and handed me a helmet, I started at the dome like thing in my hand I heard him sigh and the helmet was taken from my hands then he put it on my head and strapped it. I didn't have any other choice so I sit with both my legs at one side sincerely I'm wearing a dress.

I'm not going to call this a death trap since in most of the book characters calls it that but in the end, they'll love it. I held his shoulders cause holding his waist would be awkward. He is driving so fast. I shut my eyes since my eyes were watering.

I really don't like riding on a cab alone at night since that night. I was coming back home on a cab at night. The driver left me halfway to home since his wife got into accident and he didn't even take the money and it was very dark I had to walk home alone and I hate dark.

The bike halted. I opened my eyes I then noticed that my arms were wrapped around his waist. I untangle it. I don't remember doing that.

"Uh, thanks," I said.

"Tomorrow I'll pick you at three." He said.

"Huh?"

"I'll pick you up at three tomorrow."

"Why?" I ask.

He didn't answer me and left with any word.
