Approaching the stranger, he called out to her again. Each step sinking into the soft sand, leaving an imprint.
"Hey, I just want to talk!" However, the gun in his hand didn't make him look very convincing...
Colette watched as he got closer, eyeing the gun.
When there was about a 2 step distance between them she gave him a right hook before side-kicking him in the stomach, with a little push to put space between them. As she did so, the unsuspecting target dropped his gun and fell back.
'... Does he think I'm stupid enough to just let him talk to me while waving a gun around?'
He felt a force against his stomach which caused him to wheeze for air as he coughed. No matter how strong he was, a blow to the stomach unprepared, naturally brought him more pain.
Learning from this experience, he would no longer underestimate his opponents and increase his vigilance, allowing him to escape instant death in the future.
...
Colette took the opportunity to grab the gun and retreated a few steps back.
Pointing the gun back at him. As she hasn't had to chance to hold a gun in a while, coupled with the untrained hands of her younger self, her hold on the gun was a bit awkward. This made her look like an amateur wielding a gun.
Meanwhile, the man was stunned by the sudden attack, he only wanted to chat!
Fortunately, the sand cushioned his fall, he proceeded to stand up and dust off his butt.
'Wow. I didn't think she'd be that strong...' he rubbed his stinging stomach.
"Alright, lesson learned, I shouldn't have been holding my gun hahaha... If you could kindly put the gun away OR not point it at me, that would be great!" Saying so, he raised his hand above his head and stepped back a few steps. To signal that he isn't a threat.
'Look at her threatening me with the gun hahaha so cute. Beginners to guns won't know how to use it. It's not exactly the same as in movies-'
*Ka-chack*
Colette fired a warning shot, near the man's feet as she saw him not taking her seriously. His face paling, like a white sheet of paper.
"F*ck! You can't just fire it like that, you could have killed me!!" Startled he shuffled back a few more steps to increase the distance. This time he looked a little more fearful.
'The most dangerous people are the most reckless.' he thought.
Satisfied with his reaction, Colette gave the man a graceful smile. Half charming him and half giving him chills.
"I'll be keeping this gun thank you."
"!!"
After informing him that she would take the gun, Colette completely disregarded him and walked towards his aircraft. She checked for spare magazines and extra weapons, however, she only found another 6 bullets.
He was frozen by her voice, momentarily, it was firm which asserted a type of dominance yet pretty. It was difficult to describe but pretty was the first thing that came to mind.
"Oh yeah, what's your name? I'm Chris." He decided to give up on the gun... it didn't look like she was willing to part with it.
'I can always get another gun, but right now, I need to find out where I am and how to leave.'
Colette ignored him and vanished into the greenery....
"... okay... keep ignoring me then." Upon receiving the silent treatment, he considered following after her and pestering her until she responded. But she had the gun... whether she really knew how to use it, he didn't want to find out.
'Maybe, she'll come round.' Chris headed back to his baby (the plane).
"NOOO!!! MY BABYYY!!! You've been hurt!! Ahhh how much will this cost me when I get back..." He held his head in despair as he wailed, forgetting that he needed to be alive for long enough to return before worrying about repairing the plane.
... Colette's treehouse
"Oh this is a beauty, Glock 17," sitting in the shade, Colette admires the Glock. After messing with the gun for a bit, she stored it away safely in her home.
Colette went to look for Bobo, although he is incredibly clingy, he still runs off by himself when he feels like it.
She eventually finds him at the coconut grove, tossing around coconuts.
Spotting Colette, Bobo immediately scampers over.
They leave the grove and head deeper into the forest to reach the mango trees.
Working together, they collect 1 green mango and 3 ripe ones.
Bobo climbs up the tree and picks them, while Colette catches them when he drops it.
...
After collecting the mangoes, the duo head back to her home to retrieve her grinded sea salt and chilli mixture, which she will use to eat with the green mango.
...
"Ahh the crunch, the flavour!!" Colette exclaimed as she bit into the green mango slice. Bobo hooted along with her, as if to agree, a wide grin plastered on his face.
The green mango was sour but the sea salt balanced out the flavour, it also made the mango taste sweet and of course the chilli added a layer of spice!
'Sweet, sour, salty and spicy!'
Despite, heartily agreeing with Colette Bobo did not touch the green mango and focused on the ripe mango only. He didn't like sour and spicy foods.
Glock 17 - a type of pistol gun... idk much about guns...
