Chapter 6 - Nowhere In The Universe

Li Fei raised an eyebrow at the little girl. "What's the relation between me getting out of this curse and me being your master? And how exactly are you going to undo this curse?"

After she said that, Li Fei's eyes unconsciously scanned the little girl from head to toe, the same way as the little girl did towards Li Fei a while ago.

Could this little girl do it?

The little girl's mouth twitched as her eyes darkened. "What are you doing?"

The dark fog suddenly rose up and once again circled the little girl like a protective aura, then it flowed forward to Li Fei. Li Fei took a step back subconsciously. Cold sweat rolled down her forehead. The tension rose and the air in the dungeon became suffocating as if the dark fog had slowly absorbed the oxygen.

However, all of the sudden, the dark fog stopped midway. The little girl raised an eyebrow. She peered at Li Fei who was now hugging herself with her arms.

'Heh... she manages to stop my power. Though she doesn't seem to realize it. I can still hear her loud heartbeats,' thought the little girl as the corner of her lips moved upwards in a condescending way, 'Hmm...but this is a little irritating though. Her power is purifying my dark energy.'

The little girl raised her hand and the fingertip of her index finger light up. With that, she drew a seal and cast the spell towards Li Fei. Unexpectedly, her magic clashed onto an invisible barrier, that seemed to be what had stopped the dark energy. It faltered a little before it slowly absorbed the essence of her magic, nullifying the negative aura, and only storing the pure particles. The little girl smirked with amusement, whereas Li Fei's eyes widened in surprise and curiosity.

"I'll tell you," the little girl said as she retracted the dark fog, "We have to make a contract that bind us together, so that I could transfer your soul back to the point of time where you belong."

Li Fei tilted her head. "So... you're going to transmigrate my soul to another era. How is that differed from my reincarnation?"

The little girl sighed. She waved her hand and a stream line of dark light appeared between Li Fei and her. In the middle of the line, a white light shone brightly. She pointed at it and said, "Imagine that this white light is you and this black line is the flow of time. My left, means your right, is the past and the other way is the future."

"Now, let's say throughout your life, your decision always corresponds to the fate that you have been destined since birth." She waved her hand and the white light broke into two. The second white light moved forward to the future, still in the same line as the original white light. "You'll move forward to one future. But what if you choose another path, and instead of option A, you choose B?"

A light glistened from Li Fei's eyes. She moved closer towards the white light and touched it. The white light was duplicated again and Li Fei dragged it towards the future, but now it moved upwards, straying away from the horizontal line. She looked up at the little girl and said, "I will create another future."

"Yes. You'll create another timeline. So what is to guarantee that there is only one timeline? With every different choice, you'll create another realm of time that changed your ending. Now, the question is," the little girl leaned forward and smiled at Li Fei, "Where are you right now?"

Li Fei stared deeply at the dark line in front of her. It's impossible that she's in the original path, right? Since her current state of time is messed up with multiple reincarnations. Then there is only one possibility. She pointed at the white light that strayed away from the original timeline.

"I'm in the alternate realm?"

The little girl's smile became even profound. Looking at her, Li Fei felt like she just hit the nail right on the head. "I'm right, aren't I?"

Unfortunately the little girl shook her head. Li Fei furrowed her eyebrows.

"I'm in the original realm?" she asked, sounding completely unconvinced.

The little girl laughed.

"Oh, Honey. You're nowhere in this universe," she smirked, "You're in the False Realm."
