Miyeon was clearly able to feel how the male's body trembled as he engulfed her into a hug, and with the intention to comfort him, she patted on his back softly.
"Do you know that I am really jealous of you at times? But you are the one person I can't bring myself to hate," he confessed.
Silently, she continued with it while the boy kept on hugging her tightly. Even if she did not know whether or not it would be of any help, she was glad that he came to seek comfort from her.
For a long time, she had felt grateful for the support he had given her, and now that he came to her on his weakest point made her feel as if they were much more closer.
Of course she wished that he never had to go something like this.
After a couple of minutes, she pulled away from the hug, and wearing a small smile on her face, she spoke out, "I will get the first aid kit, alright? They will turn much more nasty if we don't do anything about them."
Without a word, Minjae stared at the ground.
This wasn't the first time Miyeon had seen the male like this. Although Minjae was bubbly and light-hearted for the most part, he had things he was struggling with as well.
It was the same when they were in highschool.
However, she did not think that he would be suffering now too. As for what the matter was, she never asked him about it. Knowing Minjae's personality, he would inform her about it when he is comfortable without her mentioning it.
The fact that he never tried to hint discussing about it merely showed that he was uncomfortable.
Having gone through something traumatic herself, Miyeon knew how it felt having other people pry into your matters.

Once she was done putting the last band aid, she softly said, "You can take up the bed today."
"You know, you don't have to treat me any differently. This makes me feel quite awkward— this nice side of you," he pointed out.
"Don't you know that you should appreciate it?" she questioned.
He chuckled and voiced out, "Is that so? Then, why don't you cook a hearty meal for me, seeing how I am at a quite pathetic state?"
"The only hearty meal you are going to get instant noodles," she said, "And don't worry. This is not even as pathetic as how you appear to be daily, and everyone deals with that side of yours regularly."
"Those words do not comfort me," he vocalised, "Is that nice side of yours that temporary?"
"No, seeing that someone was ungrateful, I thought that it wasn't needed anymore," Miyeon voiced our before being about to head towards the kitchen.
Her steps halted when he called for her, and when she turned back, he spoke out, "Thank you."
"No, I am grateful that you did not get drunk and create trouble for me."
