Chapter 66 - Trust

"Wow! Are you forgetting that you are at my house? You better act more politely to me."

Seeing how he received a silent treatment from Miyeon managed to infuriate him further, and he continued, "What? Are you pretending to be speechless now? What the hell—"

Before he was able to say anything further, Soobin interrupted him by stating, "That's enough, Taejoon!"

Although he was displeased, since it was Min Soobin's words, he wasn't able to go against it. Therefore, with a frown on his face, he concentrated on eating while occasionally glaring at Miyeon.

Miyeon just wore on an amused expression, and noticing how he stole a glance at her, she winked at him, angering him further.

Sitting on the couch, Miyeon had nervousness brewing within her. Once she was done with the dinner, she was invited to have chat with Chaewon over tea.

Not able to decline, she followed the lady.

Seated opposite to her, Chaewon conducted herself with grace while she lifted her cup of tea. In front of her, Miyeon felt ashamed to make a slight amount of move.

Miyeon hated how self-conscious Chaewon made her feel.

"I was the one who wanted to talk with you today," Chaewon voiced out.

Although Chaewon's voice held no emotions, hearing those words always left an unsettling feeling within the girl.

"Ah," Miyeon replied, picking up the cup before her and taking a sip out of it. Due to the growing anxiety, she wasn't able to taste the tea properly.

"About Soobin, I want you to put in your all for recovering his memories," she spoke out, "Those memories hold a great importance to him, and if you are able to it, I will remain grateful to you."

"Sure," Miyeon answered, "Don't worry! Although I don't know whether or not it will work, I will try my best to help him."

"Considering my position, you don't need to be reserved. I know your intention for helping us and won't be misunderstanding the situation. I believe in Min Soobin.

Therefore, do not hold back. You needn't worry about me acting unreasonably unless or until you cross the boundary," Chaewon calmly voiced out— her tone containing a certain hint of warning.

Oh Miyeon was amazed at the confidence Chaewon held when it came to Soobin. It was normal for one to be reluctant when it came to this matter, but seeing how resolute she was— even going to fact that she was grateful— made Miyeon truly admire the lady.

The fact that she was willing to discuss about the entire thing with Miyeon showed her trust in Min Soobin.

Successful and mature ladies were truly different in Miyeon's eyes. They were really confident! Then again, it was obvious that Oh Miyeon wasn't comparable to her.

Nonetheless, the worries Miyeon had was dispelled due to this.

"Thank you for your trust! You needn't worry! I have no malicious intentions towards Min Soobin. For the sake of our old friendship, I am helping him."
