Synopsis

Prologue

In the dense forest of the Heavenly Step mountain where the trees were so ancient that they seemed to extend towards the heaven; the form of a solitary tiger could be made out, illuminated by moonlight shining through the gaps in the canopy.

It was a white tiger with black stripes wearing a golden armour which seemed to outshine the moon itself. Though each of its steps was noiseless it gave an overbearing sensation which would make any bystander to kneel and prostrate themselves to it.

Its most striking feature was its eyes which were so fierce and full of ruthlessness that all it required was a glance from those Demon like eyes to scare even an overlord to death. However what one might not notice was that deep within, the eyes were filled with loneliness that one would feel when they stayed at the top, far above everything else, especially when one pursued the path of power.

Suddenly, a deafening explosion was heard, followed by an earthquake strong enough to fell even the most ancient of trees. However, even in this world-shaking earthquake, the tiger stood as still as a mountain.

The very next moment, an expression of a shock could be seen in its eyes; not because of the earthquake, but because it felt something it had never felt in a long long time and had almost forgotten that it existed; a sense of fear!

An expression of immense joy appeared on its face as it rushed like never before, towards the source of danger at breakneck speed, since source of danger can come only from something that could threaten its existence and something that could threaten its existence has to either be on the same level as itself if not higher.

On reaching there, however, it saw two corpses donned in purple robes. They were beings that looked exactly like those puny humans, except for the pair of wings extending from their back.

One was a silver-haired middle-aged (or so the tiger thought) man with glowing silver wings and the other, a black-haired woman who seemed to be in her twenties and might have been a heavenly beauty had she been alive. In front of them was a heavily injured bald man robed in scarlet clothes and had two black bat-like wings extending from the back and in his hands was an egg which was about a foot in diameter and 3 feet long.

The man was laughing hysterically; as if he had found a lost treasure which he had been hunting for his whole life.

Only after a while did he realise another presence in the vicinity and looked towards the north with a murderous look; "who's there! Come on out and fight me in the open if you dare"

Though his voice was filled with provocation, it also had a ting of fear as it looked towards the source of life.

However when he saw only a white tiger in golden armour coming out, his face lost all traces of fear and instead was filled with disgust, arrogance, and contempt as if he were looking at a mere insect. Thinking himself to be far stronger he just casually waved his hand, causing everything within a hundred-meter radius of the tiger to vanish. In its place stood a 10-meter deep crater. Seeing that the tiger was taken care of, he went back to his historical laughing though not before giving the corpses another glance.

"ROARRRR!!" an extremely loud roar was heard from behind the man.

puchii! suddenly the man and the ground, for a km in front of him, were split in two; not even the clouds floating in the sky was spared.

After a few seconds, the white tiger donned in golden armour descended from the skies slowly giving off a divine vibe.

"pesky cat…. I if.. if I weren't so seriously injured… I could have crushed you with just a thought!"

The shocking thing was that the baldy was still alive and was even able to curse at the tiger, even with his internals pouring out of his now dissected body.

"Unfortunately, you were indeed seriously injured… So now go DIE!!" the tiger ruthlessly smashed his head into a pulp and swallowed his soul which was trying to escape unnoticed.

"aarrgh! The divine winged clan will not forgive you!! "

"mmm! Now that was a tasty soul… My mental energy even increased by a whole new level. I was too damn lucky; I'd have less than 10% chance of victory had he not been fatally injured."

Taking its mind off of its possible defeat, the tiger licked its lips while slowly moving towards the egg as if just having enjoyed a tasty snack and craving for another.

"KACHINK!" suddenly when it was just a few steps away from the egg, a noise of metal piercing through metal could be heard as a dagger had just sliced its body into two.

Even its armour couldn't block the attack, as the two halves of the tiger's body fell on either side, fertilizing the soil with its blood and entrails

"damn! Is this how I die? Through a sneak attack?"

Were the last few thoughts of the tiger as its vision faded and it slowly slipped into the darkness of oblivion.

However unknown to anyone just before dying, it had secretly stored its inheritance and bloodline into one of its fangs so that its bloodline could continue and its death is not in vain.
