Chereads / A Gifted Reincarnation / Chapter 8 - Clinic

Chapter 8 - Clinic

Beyond the gate were 3 paths. The left path was very very quite, almost no one. It was not a long one, only about 10 buildings long. The one literally in front of them, was normal. People walking on the sides and wagons in the middle. It was the longest path, around 30 buildings, and it seemed to have the most branches.

The one on the right was just.... Very very very crowded. Although it seemed to be a very very wide path, not one clear area on the street can be seen. Even if some area was clear, it seemed like there are 2 people per meter squared of area. Since the crowd was so large, Sachi couldn't make out the length of the path.

"Welcome to Anarkhia. Our small town in peaceful anarchy."

Kerm lead the way.

"The clinic is just that way."

Kerm pointed at the middle road. A sigh of relief can be heard from Sachi.

"Good thing it wasn't the one with many people."

Sachi and Kerm continued to walk. She was pulled by Kerm to the side of the road. Sachi was utterly confused. She didn't know why she had to walk along the street sides.

"Why are you pulling me sir?"

"If you walk in the middle you can get hit by those wagons."

"I see.."

"You know, you shouldn't call me sir, just call me Kermit."

"Okay... Kermit."

A few minutes later,

They stopped by a hut. It had a clear sign that says "Doctor". It had 2 windows by the door for some reason. The roof was made of wood. The hut walls were made of wood.

Kerm and Sachi went knocked at the door,

*Knock Knock*

A short silence occurred.

"Hello?"

A voice behind the door can be heard. It sounded like a man was talking.

*Creeeek*

The door opened slowly. Sachi saw a man, dressed in white, wearing something near the eye. The man smiled to them.

"Ah yes, Mr. Kermit. How may I help you?"

Kerm dropped Liam's body to the dirt ground.

Come to think of it, why is the ground only made of dusty dirt. Why no grass? Are these guys just too lazy to use nature? Why?

Sachi thought to herself.

"Yes doc, we need you to take care of him. Something happened and yea."

"Okay then, just bring him in and put him on the bed."

Kerm brought Liam's unconscious body inside.

"Oh hello there little girl. Who are you?"

"I'm Sachi. And uh... do you know anything about an academy or something like that?"

"So you're gonna attend the academy?"

"Yeah. After Liam gets conscious."

"Well I'll bring you there, later."

Sachi then joined Kerm after the conversation. Kerm put Liam's unconscious body on a bed made of some white material. Sachi didn't know what this material is, even though Sage already told her about the different materials in the world.

"Well the Kermit, Liam won't be conscious for about another day. But what happened to him?"

"Well... I and Liam misunderstood what the girl was and she almost killed us. She healed us in time though so he is fine."

"Wait, you two? Defeated by this girl?"

"Well she had red magic capacity."

"RED?!?!"

The doctor then looked at Sachi, squinting his eyes. After a few seconds, his expression changed to a surprised expression.

"How interesting... Girl, how did you get so much power?"

"Well uhhh... i don't know. I just learned magic 2 days ago so... I don't know."

"2 days.... It seems you are one of those."

One of those? What is "One of those"? What does it mean?

"One of those?"

Sachi asked, tilting her head.

"A SemDelta."

"What is that?"

"If a person is SemDelta, they show high capacity magic even though they only started. They would normally show signs of not having any magic at all. but, some Semdeltas can awaken their magic in frustrating situations. It seems you are one of them."

"I see...."

"Now... If can you take care of him for a moment?"

"We certainly can"

Kerm said.

The Doctor went into a room, in the back of the building. While Doctor is away, Sachi looked around the place. There's really nothing to look at other than these beds and some metal pole holding some sacks of liquid. Sachi, despite being told many stories by Sage, didn't know what those things are. Not one sentence Sage said can describe that thing.

Although it does seem familiar. She felt like she had seen it before. Why did she remember seeing that? She had never been down in the city before.

Suddenly, a powerful headache struck her. It was more powerful than dropping on a hard floor. She was unable to stand the pain.

"What the--"

As she dropped down on the floor, unconscious. Kerm, who was still beside Liam, saw her drop. Kerm ran over to Sachi.

"Sachi? Sachi!? Are you okay?!"

Kerm listened to her heartbeat. The heartbeat can still be heard, but Sachi couldn't answer.

"What the heck happened to you?"

He lifted her body and placed her on one of the beds, specifically the one beside Liam. Now Kerm had to watch over those two humans.

Doctor went out of the backroom. He brought with him a syringe.

"Oh, what happened here?"

"She just fell on the floor, for some reason. Now she's unconscious."

"I see, I'll get my medical equipment first."

Doctor went back into the backroom. But 2 minutes later, doctor exited the room. He seemed to be wearing some kind of bracelet on his hands. They had green crystals on them.

"Doc, what will you do with those Nature rings?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'll heal her from her minds."

Doctor walked towards the unconscious Sachi and stood beside her bed. He held his hands on top of her. A glow of light started to appear under doctor's hands.

"Ah, I see the problem.. Somehow her brain suddenly shutdown for a second. I don't know how that would happen but I'm pretty sure she became unconscious from a headache."

"So what will you do with her doc?"

"I'll just wake her up."

The glow of light disappeared as doctor stopped the spell.

A few seconds later,

"*Breathes heavilly*"

Sachi suddenly woke up from her sleep. She woke up with a terrified face. She looked around for a second. As she looked around, her terrified face faded.

"You okay there?"

Kerm asked her. But she didn't answer. She was silent. Although Kerm can tell she was fixated to seeing those metal poles. She went out of the bed and walked towards those metal poles.

At this point, she was 2 meters away from the poles. It was like she was hypnotized or controlled, she didn't do anything other than walk. But, at this point, she started to say something.

"I.....V....."

Kerm was confused at what she said, but doctor was surprised.

"Sachi.... Sachi!"

Sachi snapped out of that weird moment. She can finally control herself. She looked around in confusion.

"What..... happened?"

"You fainted and fell unconscious. And you woke up. And you said something."

Sachi was utterly confused. Why did she woke up standing up, looking at the metal pole.

Liam woke up from the sleep.

"What happened?"

"You almost got killed by the girl but she saved you."

"What?"

Liam saw Sachi at the corner of the room. He was terrified. He was ready to kill her but it seems like his sword was taken by Kerm.

"Woah woah woah hold on there! I just told you, she saved you from death."

"I still don't trust her."

"Then maybe you should get out since we trust her."

"ugh fine."

Liam got out of the bed and walked out of the front door, leaving the scene. Sachi was still confused by the moment. Nothing made sense to her. But she just ignored the fact that she woke up standing.

*Grumble*

"Yeah ok I need food.. I haven't eaten yet."

"Coincidentally I have some left overs. Would you like some bread?"

Doctor asked her nicely.

"Yes!!!!!"

Doctor took out a piece of bread out of the backroom and gave it to Sachi. Sachi ate it like a dog. She bit it quicker than a normal person would. Well that made sense since she haven't eaten for one day straight.

"Now should we go to the academy?"

"Yeah sure, I have nothing to do right now so I'll go to the academy."

Doctor lead sachi out of the building. Sachi waved goodbye at Kerm.

"Bye! See you later!"

"Bye!"

And there start a new trip to the academy.
