"Let's go down there again."
"Why would I go down there? Those people might come up and try to catch me! And you almost died!"
"Don't worry, you're with me. It's safe."
"Ugh... Okay fine..."
Sachi, still excited, grabbed Sage's hand tightly.
"Don't let me go."
Sage gripped her hand tightly.
"Okay."
Sage and Sachi walked down the path to the ground. The rocky mountain was hard to maneuver around. There are parts with sharp rocks that can stab your feet. Sachi and Sage didn't wear anything to cover their feet so they have to be careful.
On the way, they saw a small creature with four feet. It ran towards Sachi and tried to jump on her.
"EeeeK!! What are those?!"
Sachi hid behind Sage to avoid any contact with the weird creature. It was a furry brown creature with yellow stripes on its tail.
"Have you never seen one of these?"
"No.."
"Well these are what you call Rakenes. They are creatures that eat fruits and leaves. It seems those leaves floating around you attracted it. Why don't you give her some leaves?"
"...O...kay...."
Sachi instructed the leaves to float down. And they did so. The small rakene seemed to smell the leaves. Then after smelling it, it bit one of the leaves. After the first bite it quickly ate both leaves that float down.
Sachi saw the un-threatening creature eat the leaves. Sachi slowly walked towards the rakene. But after a few steps, the rakene started to walk away from Sachi.
"Wait! don't run...."
"It seems it doesn't like unknown contact from humans."
Sachi stepped back a few steps. She thought for a moment.
How can I befriend this creature? It likes my leaves so... Oh! I know!
Sachi called for some more leaves to come. She instructed them to drop in a line connecting the rakene with a pile of leaves. They dropped in a path as she instructed. The rakene sniffed the leaf in front of it. After a few seconds, it ate the leaves one by one. Every leaf it's eating is getting itself closer to Sachi and Sage.
They looked at it while it's eating.
"How cute!"
Sachi exclaimed with a satisfied expression.
After a few minutes, the creature finally finished eating the leaves. apparently it was able to stand with 2 feet. It stood up and waved at Sachi. Then it ran down the mountain.
"That was a nice creature."
"Well yes it is, now shall we walk down?"
"Yeah!"
Sachi's feeling got more extreme. Feeding the rakene somehow pumped up her feelings.
A few minutes of walking down the mountain carefully later,
"Alright! we're here!"
"Yeah..... we're...here..."
At the moment she touched the ground, a small surge of energy flowed inside her, and she felt it. She was still confused about that feeling. Was it excitement? Was it power? Was it magic? She thought to herself. Then she asked Sage about the surge of energy.
"Sage, what is this feeling of something suddenly flowing inside me? It happens when I touch the ground."
"Ah yes I haven't explained anything about magic have I? Then let's start from the beginning.
Magic is energy that i everywhere in Xoshieria. Anything in Xoshieria must've been filled with magic at some point. In the ground, water, trees, or even air itself, can contain magic. Although, there are differences between magic inside a thing with magic inside humans and creatures. Magic in this are what you call Flexible Magic. They can be manipulated in any way by another type of magic. This other type of magic is called Kirslekt magic, more commonly called Kir Magic. Kir magic can only be inside a living creature, such as a human.
magic can be measured by a spell called Examine. This magic shows the flow of magic inside something. Magic can be seen in a compressed form inside something. Examine can differentiate the different compression states of magic inside something. For example, I will use Examine right now."
A blue ring of aura suddenly formed around Sage.
"Now I can see every flow of magic inside anything. The air's flow of magic is very very slow and it's very decompressed so it's basically invisible. As for the trees, grounds, and rocks, since they are filled with flexible magic, the flow is grey.
Now about Kir compression states, it is measured by color. If a human or a living thing has a certain amount of compressed magic, then it will be color coded.
Very decompressed state is colored green, then decompressed state is colored yellow.
A normal magic user that can do 1 type of magic has an orange color of magic flow.
The user that masters that type of magic or if that person can do 2 types of magic has a magic flow of red.
A user that masters one type and can do another type has a magic flow of violet.
If a user masters both types of magic, they have a flow of blue-violet.
The person that can do weapon magic and 2 other types of magic has dark blue magic.
The person that can do book magic, or holds a legendary weapon, or is a creature queen, has the most compressed magic which has a magic flow colored light blue .
To simplify things, the weakest magician has a green flow, then it goes to yellow, red, light violet, blue violet, dark blue, and at last the strongest person has a magic compression of light blue.
You got all that?"
"....n-...no..."
"Well that's the least important part of magic."
Sage looks at Sachi with a smile. But the smile started to fade. Sachi noticed the change, it was weird to see Sage not smiling.
"Sage... Whats wrong?"
"You..... Your flow..."
"Yeah what about it?"
"It's..... red.."
"Wait what? What do you mean?"
Sage stopped, instead he changed the topic.
"Well then the important thing is, the use of magic. Kir magic flow of orange can start to manipulate the flexible magic around them. Depending on the Kir type, they can specialize in controlling one of 5 main elements.
Heat, Nature, Water, Air, and Electricity. When a person specializes in using one magic, their Kir changes. For example, if I choose to specialize in controlling water, my Kir changes to Water Magic.
To control or use a spell, the user must flow their magic. Example, you are controlling those leaves now, that means the flow of magic inside you connects with the flexible nature magic inside the leaf.
You understand???"
"Sage, you just put so much information into my head that I can't even think about what you're talking about now."
Sachi holds her head in confusion. What did Sage just talked about? It doesn't seem to be magic, It's literally nonsense to Sachi.
"Why don't we just start with training?"
Sachi instantly sparked up in excitement.
"YES!!"
Sage walked over to a tree. Sachi looks at Sage in focus.
"Now try to do "Examine""
"Wait what?"
"Try to use the spell "Examine""
Sachi was utterly confused.
What? You just told me all this nonsense and know you're asking me to learn a magic spell without telling me how to do it?"
"Let me help you, try to feel your own magic. Eventually you will see the magic flow of everything around you. To do that, just close your eyes and feel yourself"
Sachi closed her eyes. She tried to feel her magic. She felt.... nothing. It felt like she was floating somewhere. Somewhere with a surface. Flowing through the wave. But wait, there is something in her. She felt a small... movement. She concentrated on that moment. The movement became more noticeable. It felt like the surge of energy she felt when touching the ground. She opens her eyes.
She saw colors. It was messed up and mixed up. Grey, Blue, Green.... It's so messed up. But then she saw Sage. He was colored in red.
"Sage, you are... red."
"Yes, what you're seeing is my magic flow. The more I use magic, the more the magic will deplete, the more decompressed my magic is, the more tired I become."
"I see, so how do I see my own flow?"
"Just look at your hand."
Sachi looked at her hand. It was... also red. Red, what did that mean? Sachi didn't listen to Sage so what does that mean?
The mixed up view started to disappear. It's finally normal. She finally saw the real world with normal sight.
"So, now that you can see your own flow, try to take the leaves of of this specific tree."
Sage points at the tree beside him. It's a small tree. It's short with little amounts of leaves. Sachi should be able to control the leaves.
"Okay! I'll try !"
She exclaimed. Sachi pointed at the sky. Sachi focused on that specific plant. Some leaves started to obey her instructions, they flew towards Sachi and flew around her. Eventually, all the leaves of the tree obeyed her instruction. All the leaves of that tree flew over Sachi.
"Now, what do I do with these?"
"Put them back to their place."
"Wait..... How do I do that??!!"
Sachi then thought.
Hmm... Why? How? How do I do this? It's really impossible... I could only harden them but that's only because of that sudden knowledge I obtained..... Knowledge! I need to learn a knowledge. How did I obtain that knowledge?...
[Sachi! Let me help!]
Wait what?? Did someone just talked to me?
[I'm nature magic! let me help you!]
What??? How did a leaf just talked to me?"
[I can communicate with the user of the magic linking me and the user]
I see... that's weird.. and creepy...
[We leaves have a regeneration ability, actually every plant does. You can instruct us to do anything that plant can do.]
Then... what you're saying is I can tell you to stick yourself to that plant?
[Exactly!]
Sachi points at the plant with no leaves.
"Regenerate and stick to that sad piece of wood!"
The leaves followed the instruction. As she said, the leaves flew over to the lonely tree. They sticked themselves to the piece of wood.
"It worked! IT WORKS!!"
Sachi was happy that what nature said to her was right.
"Nice one Sachi, now how about another trick? It's harder than the last one."
"Why not!"
"But first......"
