The mom-daughter dou were happy cooking together. They prepared 5 different kinds of dishes, mostly Filipino dishes since both Mom Mj and Ja were of Filipino origin. So they cooked Chicken Afritada, Pork & Chicken Adobo, Pork Menudo, Beef Steak Filipino Style, and lastly, Pancit Canton. They cooked rice too. And for the dessert, they baked choco-almond brownies.
They joyfully enjoyed cooking it all, with love and smiles...
It was lunchtime when Dad Karl arrived home. Dad Karl kissed Mom Mj and gave her a tight embrace, looks like he was missing his wife so much.
And then he gave KM and the twin brothers Karlo and Mario a tight embrace too each of them.
"Hmm... I miss my family so much!"
"We miss you too Dad!" all four of them said in chorus.
"Why is it that we seem like we are gonna have some sort of a fiesta here? So much food prepared and cooked by my beloved wife and daughter. It reminds me of the food in the Philippines." Dad Karl exclaimed in astonishment.
"It's because Ja and her family will come over here at our house later. It would be like a reunion family date." Mom Mj explained.
"Mom is so excited to be reunited with her long BFF, Dad, that's why." KM teased.
"Hmm, if I didn't know, you are also excited to see once again your childhood playmate Michael. He has grown into a handsome, talented and responsible man. I wouldn't be surprise if you two will fall in love with each other KM." teased back Mom Mj.
"Mom, you're overboard!" KM retaliated with her teeth gritted.
"How about let's just eat our lunch together yet hmmm, my loving family? And we will talk about the Cairney family afterwards. I'm famished from my long plane trip, you know." Dad Karl gathered his family in the table and each have seated on their seats.
"Okay, Dad!" the 3 sibs answered in chorus.
"Why don't you lead the prayer before meals, honey, since you are here now," suggested Mom Mj.
"Okay." Dad Karl happily agreed and then prayed.
"Amen." everybody said in chorus after ending his prayer.
And so they shared together eating some of the dishes they had finished cooking.
Afterwards, they shared stories of each of their experiences they have encountered and teasing on KM's Quest for her True Love, and laughters followed. For them, they were a one happy loving family. And a simple gathering like this inspite of their busy schedules, is worth to be treasured in each of their hearts...
After lunch, the family then played UNO cards. For it has been one of their old fashioned way of playing together as a family, aside from the virtual technologies that they have in the house.
After which, they rested for a few hours before waiting for the teleport arrival of the Cairney family.
"By the way, why won't we call Greg and Dianne and their daughter Dina to come over too so that we will be having a complete reunion of 3 families?" Dad Karl suggested.
"Hmm, why not? Good idea! Thanks honey. I'll call Dianne right now then." Mom Mj responded and proceeded to make a call.
"Hello, Dianne.We are having a dinner date with our families specifically with the Cairneys family at 6p.m. here in our house. Can you and your family could join us as well? It would gonna be like a reunion of 3 families then," happily invited Mj.
"Oh, that would be great Mj. It's been so long that we haven't gathered together since we left New Zealand. So the Cairneys would fly over all the ways here from New Zealand?" replied Dianne on the phone with curiousity and excitement tone.
"Hmm we shall talk about it how they travel, when you and your family will be here then," Mj smiling in excitement, not wanting to expose the Cairneys on their way of travelling yet.
"Okay then see you all!" We will be there at 6p.m. then.
And their call ended.
Everyone was filled with excitement for such a reunion gathering.
"Yeheey!" the twin brothers exclaimed in chorus. For they were excited and all.
While KM was feeling mixed emotions. She couldn't understand herself what she's actually feeling right now. She's feeling excited, yet somewhat pressured coz she knows that Michael fancied her and on top of it, she's actually confused of what she's feeling towards Michael since she have other suitors as well. She's also worried of how would Michael react upon knowing that she had already seen the 3D telescope he invented for her while she was on a date with other man.
"Would he be hurt and stop pursuing me then? If he will stop pursuing me, how would I feel then? If he will not stop pursuing me, how would I react or feel?" KM's mind was bombarded with questions of herself...
