I stood on the same spot where the King announced my engagement with Prince Harold. I knew this is going to happen but since the plot has changed because of me, I did not think that the King would say this in front of people. I thought that he would just tell me privately like how the story was supposed to happen. This is like what happened to me when I was still on Earth when I realize the reality of adulthood. The reality of adulthood didn't hit me...It basically just like...uppercut me which is the same as I am now.
The announcement of my engagement with the Prince, in front of these people who are jealousy staring at me...uppercuts me right now. I am embarrassed.
"I object to this engagement!" Mother came out from nowhere and Father tries to stop Mother. We all know that she would either throw her fan to the King or punch him in the face.
"Princess Sophia..." The King greets Mother while Mother hatefully glares the King.
"Cedrick. still an id--" Luckily, father covers Mother's mouth before she spits the word 'Idiot.' to the King.
I sigh and walked in front of the King. I have experienced this. Like me bravely going in front of the teacher and tell him that the way he teaches sucks. I collect my courage up and took a deep breath. "You're Majesty, Please allow me to speak for my opinions. That is, of course, my opinion... I will bear the responsibility and punishment on my own."
The King gently smiles at me and pats my shoulder, "But of course my dear. I will hear your opinions privately with you and your family along with Harold."
I curtsey and express my gratitude even if its a fake one. "Thank you, Your Highness."

The next day, the King summoned us to the castle. I am a bit nervous but this will be my future. Harold stood beside the King with a smiling face.
"Cedrick! You're an idiot! Why do you want to steal my little girl from me!? Huh!?" Mother furiously shouts to the King. I am afraid that the King will sentence our whole family to death.
The King nervously laughs at Mother. "Calm down, Sophia. You didn't change for a bit, I see."
Mother took off her high heels from her right foot and threw it to the King. Luckily, the King dodge it. "You bastard! First, you wanted William and now, my child!"
Huh? What did she mean that the King wanted father? I looked at Philip who is so quiet. "Father used to look like a girl when he was young. The King liked him and wanted to marry him until he found out that father is a male." He whispers.
I froze for a second. This was never been mentioned in the novel. Well, there are supposed to beside stories for this novel but I died. I guess this is the part of it.
"Your Highness, Please reconsider the engagement," I said without any fear. Why would I? I was 30 years old. I am after all a bit mature.
"Oh? And why would I?"
Harold suddenly spoke for the first time. "Is there something wrong, Lady Calla? Am I not enough to become your husband to be?"
Father tapped my shoulder and nods. "My King, Prince Harold, Tory is already engaged--"
There's a person who rushed to the King's side and whispers something to the King. The King was a bit angry. "Let him in."
Then a person who I never expected to see came in. When he noticed me staring at him, he smirked at me.
"Duke Claude Lennox, there is something that you want to say?"
Claude bows to the King and gently smiles. "I am here today on behalf of my fiancée."
Fiancée? Claude doesn't have any fiancée.
The King raised a brow. "And that would be?"
Claude suddenly looked at me and grins. His grin is a bit offensive in my perspective. I suddenly had the urge to slap his face. "That would be Calla Victoria Antonette-Hamilton." He answered.
What the heck is going on? How did I get engaged to Claude when I just met him yesterday?
"Your majesty, Duke Claude has been engaged with Tory since birth. It is an agreement between me and the late Duke Florence Lennox. We wanted the children to know each other before announcing their engagement but as you know, Duke Florence died and Duke Claude has to manage everything alone at a young age." Father explained.
The King sigh. "Even in death, those two made their move. That rascal, Florence!" The King complains and complains but in the end, I am engaged with Claude.
I looked at the King who is shocked as I am, Prince Harold who looked at Duke Claude with coldness on his eyes, Mother and Father who is smiling and then to my brother who wants to draw his sword and probably wanted to stab Duke Claude.
and me...
I looked at Duke Claude who reached out his hand and asked. "Shall I send you home, My dear Calla?"
I suddenly got engaged to the Villian in this story.
