Chapter 3 - Twisted truth

The hospital smelt funny, like disinfectant and cough medicine. "Disgusting" I muttered.

The doctor had jet black hair that faded into a fluro purple color, a white labcoat and a purple dress that went way too low at her boobs accompanied by two slits on her hips.

"Aki, was it?" the girl asked as she looked me up and down. "You should be in bed. Now, you and your friend can go home tomorrow since the situation yous two have is peculiar but not serious" the woman said as she cupped her face in her hands.

"You have two broken ribs and a few minor cuts and scrapes bit that cut on your leg will leave a scar." 'It hurts.'

I waited anxiously for her to finish her sentence but no more words appeared from out of her mouth so I had to ask, "and what about Tsuki?" "Tsuki has a fractured rib, quite a lot off cuts on his back and a major bruising on his side" the doctor answered calmly as she flipped through her file.

"But I will need you to go along with a few officers tomorrow to clear up yours and Tsuki's story. Oh and my name is Kirra, incase they ask who the doctor was that treated you" Kirra concluded. "Oh, ok" I replied as I thought back to what had happened only a couple of hours earlier.

The next day me and Tsuki were taken to the police station for follow up questions, I tried to explain to Tsuki what I had rehearsed without letting the cops that were driving us become suspicious.

The police station smelt disgusting too, it smelt of cigarettes and sweat, which had apparently disgusted Tsuki as well, I thought as I watched his nose scrunch up and his eyebrows knit together.

The officers led me Tsuki to a desk and handed us both an identical piece of paper, "you will be separated while yous fill out this form so, Tsuki? Was it? You can sit over there" the officer announced as he pointed his sausage like finger at an empty desk. "And you can sit over there" he said pointing to a desk on the other side of the room.

The questions were all simple because I didn't necessarily have to lie.

-where were you at the time?

In the shower

-how did this event occur?

We slipped in the shower and shattered the glass walls

-what were you doing at the time of the incident?

In the shower with Tsuki

-how were the injuries sustained?

Tsuki and me smashed and fell through glass, me landing on top of him. I ran downstairs to grab the phone but slipped on the steps and fell.

I walked back over to the officer and handed him the completed witness form. Tsuki was leaning against a wall playing with his phone so I strode over to him and did the same, until I saw what it was that he was playing.

"What are you playing?" I questioned him. His phone screen was covered in photos of me as he shoved it in my face. "Do I need to explain my love for you?" Tsuki replied as he continued to scroll through the photos.

"Both sheets say practically the same thing, so the story checks out" the officer announced as he showed us the way out of the station.

"What did you write?" I asked Tsuki as we began to walk home. "We were in the shower, I slipped and fell through the glass. Exactly what happened" Tsuki replied calmly as his pace began to quicken, I had to run to keep up with him.

My footsteps began to slow back down as I caught sight of Tsuki's two story house. 'Why am I following him?' I asked myself. I spun on my heel and took two fast steps in the opposite direction before Tsuki hugged me from behind.

His arms were tough and masculine, but his touch was soft. I relaxed my body and melted back into Tsuki's hug.

The wind rushed out of my lungs as Tsuki suddenly spun me around and punched me in the gut. I doubled over and hugged my stomach as I breathed heavily in attempt to breathe.

Tsuki wrenched my head up by my hair and pulled me in close, our lips locked as he kissed me pationately. He tasted like blood, it was delicious and intoxicating. Tsuki wound his hands around my waist and pulled me in even closer. My body began to burn as I tugged at his white shirt.

He suddenly pushed me away and ran off home, so I decided to do the same. I felt a slight weight in my pocket as I ran and pulled out a white phone, its screen had set and displayed the directions back to my place.

I followed the phone for 40 minutes before I reached the Sunlight Apartment building.

I ran to the elevator and smashed the 16th floor button. The elevator ride was silent and empty but it suddenly grinded to a slow halt once it reached the 16th floor.

The doors opened painfully slowly. I ran to my apartment the second I could fit through the gap in the doors. I swung open the door to find my mum sitting at the table, her heavily blonde hair stained red with blood and her dress shredded to pieces.

I looked her over and found five bruises, two cuts, one burn and a burst lip, the same as what I had seen on the TV in Tsuki's basement.

I ran over to my mum and caught her in a hug before she kicked me in the gut with her leg. I hit the floor with my back first. I slowly looked up to find my mum smirking at me. 'It hurts,' I grinned.
