Yu Huiyin felt as if the world around her turned black. She was uncomfortable, and she felt her heart was in her throat as she staggered to her feet.
She tried to leave the manor, only to see that two bodyguards were waiting for her outside.
"Madam, please enter the house," they said calmly, but Yu Huiyin was unable to calm down, her hands were trembling, and tears were falling from her eyes.
"Jingyu, where is Jingyu?!" She shouted, and the two bodyguards' facial expression changed, their eyes dodging slightly.
She felt as if someone had thrown a bucket of cold water all over her body, as she began moving down the stairs, her legs trembling, her heart in disarray.
She could not fully control her body as her legs gave way under her, but luckily one of the bodyguards reached out in time to grab her and ensured that she did not collapse.
"Madam, please enter the mansion again," the bodyguard said, calm and collected, and his eyes swept over to his companion. They proceeded to hoist Yu Huiyin up, before they went into the sitting-room once more, placed her on the couch and stood right behind her, ensuring that she could not leave.
Seeing that she had no chance of moving, Yu Huiyin watched the news, her heart beating rapidly in fear, her eyes widened in panic.
The news crews were trying to get close to the factory, but explosion after explosion appeared in the fire. Soon, the cars were also engulfed by the flames, and no one knew who it was that had driven to the factory, all evidence had been destroyed.
But Yu Huiyin knew who the cars belonged to, and she knew that Xie Jingyu was connected to the disaster, her heart was unable to calm down, and she took her phone out with fumbling fingers.
She could not hold onto the phone, and it slowly dropped out of her fingers and into her lap. Seeing her so out of it and scared, the bodyguards' hearts ached. They felt that Xie Jingyu had gone over the top with not telling her about the plan.
If he knew that she would be so sad, he would have warned her beforehand, but it seemed that he had not thought that her reaction would be so drastic.
Yu Huiyin was panicked at first, but after realizing that the bodyguards were incredibly calm, she also calmed down a little, but her eyebrows furrowed.
If Xie Jingyu had planned something so drastic, why had he not said anything to her? Why had he left her at home, knowing that she would be scared for his well being?
It was not before now that she realized just how important the man was to her, but she was uncomfortable when she thought about it. If he was okay, she would blame him a lot, but if he was harmed, she would forgive him.
Yu Huiyin sat on the sofa, her eyes were downcast, and her heart could not help but ache incredibly. Due to the guards' behavior, she thought that he was still okay, but she could not help but curse at him for his behavior.
The night was long, Yu Huiyin did not go to sleep, although she had calmed down, she was still uneasy, since Xie Jingyu had not returned home.
As the morning sun shone through the windows, the crimson sunshine lit up the table, but although it was idyllic and romantic, Yu Huiyin was not in the mood to admire the light.
The servants tried to convince her to eat some porridge, but Yu Huiyin had lost all her appetite, and could not even consider eating any of the food.
As the time approached lunchtime, the servants tried again, but Yu Huiyin was still not willing to eat, her eyes were downcast as she looked towards the floor.
The longer it took for him to come home, the more uncomfortable she was feeling. He had not contacted her, although she had called him twice, and she could not help but curse him time and time again in her heart, while also begging for him to come back home as soon as possible.
It was not before the evening that the door opened, and Xie Jingyu stepped in. He was in a brilliant mood, a grin hung on his lips, and he sauntered into the sitting room, ready to share the previous experiences with Yu Huiyin.
What met him was a sight that froze the grin on his eyes. He saw Yu Huiyin leaning against the back of the sofa, her eyes full of defeat and sadness, as she focused all her attention on the news channel which was still covering the exploded factory.
It suddenly hit him; he had not warned her about his movements!. Had she been seated like this for the entire day?
He said nothing, and Yu Huiyin was too exhausted to notice him, but the bodyguards instantly realized that he had come back.
One of them walked to his side and gestured for him to come out with him. Frowning, Xie Jingyu followed the bodyguard out of the room.
"Madam is not in a good state of mind," the bodyguard began, and Xie Jingyu's heart ached painfully.
"She was in a panic when she saw the footage of the exploded factory. She recognized your cars and tried to leave the house. We kept her in place, preventing her from leaving, but she has been listless and full of panic since. It seems that her heart is not with her any longer, and she seems to be in pain. She has not eaten anything for more than twenty-four hours; we could not even make her drink a glass of water."
