Xie Jingyu heard her words, and he was not too surprised. In the documents he had received, it stated that she was very close to her family. It was only natural to worry about their well being.
"If you want to call someone, you can borrow my phone," Xie Jingyu said, as he reached out his phone to her, but Yu Huiyin shook her head, "they got no phone at home," she said.
Although it was evident that the reason they got no phone was because they were poor, she did not seem embarrassed by it, nor troubled. It was as if it was the most common thing in the world.
Her strong personality was something that made him admire her. "I see, then give me their address and I will send someone to inform them."
"Oh, no, please don't do that!" Yu Huiyin was scared, silly. If someone went to tell her grandfather that she had gotten shot, then her future would be very bleak.
"But won't your family worry about you?" Xie Jingyu asked, very confused as to why she would not accept his goodwill. It was rare for him to help others, so why wouldn't she accept his help?
Yu Huiyin looked at the guy and said in a flat tone, "he hates it when I fight and get injured. Now I have been admitted to the hospital for being shot. He will never let me out of the flat again."
"Then let us come up with an excuse for you?" Xie Jingyu said. "I can send a man there, saying that you have gotten a new job and that this job requires you to be staying over for a few days."
"I will be busted when I lose my jobs and won't have any money to give my family," Yu Huiyin said with a sigh. She was not regretting saving this man, nor were she blaming him; she was just wallowing in her own self-pity.
"I can give you a job as a thank you for helping me," Xie Jingyu suddenly said as he gestured for another man to step forward. The person was his assistant, and he had been present all the time, but he had tried to become a wallflower.
He wanted to roll his eyes to Xie Jingyu. He was the one who had created the contract, how was this possibly a job opportunity?
But he said nothing and handed over the documents to Xie Jingyu. Knowing that his boss was black-bellied was nothing new.
Yu Huiyin, on the other hand, was very excited. "A job? What kind of job?"
"Something like an assistant," Xie Jingyu said.
"What is the pay like?"
"fifty thousand yuan a month,"
"that's so much!" Yu Huiyin was shocked. Fifty thousand yuan a month? She would be able to make her family move into a much better house and give them a much better life.
But she knew that when something seemed to be too good to be true, then it was. Narrowing her eyes, she glanced at Xie Jingyu, but he looked very innocent.
"Don't feel that it is too much," he said gently. "You saved my life; the least I can do is give you a job. The job description doesn't give you many tasks. Instead, you belong to me, and then you can do as you wish during the day."
Yu Huiyin nodded her head. It was indeed a good thing that she had saved him, and since he was so rich, then there was nothing to gain from tricking a woman like her.
"Okay, I'll accept it!" she said happily.
Moments after, he found the place to sign and gave her the pen. He did not even let her read the contact first, but she did not think much about it. Her body was aching and her mind was dazed from the surgery. She could also not think that she had anything he wanted enough to cheat her.
He was so rich, and she had nothing he could want, so she quickly signed, and the moment she had finished, he grabbed the document and kept it in his hand, a low laugh escaped his lips.
"I look forward to working with you in the future," he said with a grin.
"Go and make a copy and give it to Huiyin," he said, the way he said her name so familiarly that Yu Huiyin's eye twitched. They had just met one another, why'd he call her Huiyin?
"I already prepared one," the assistant said, as he opened the briefcase again and took out another contract.
"That's good. Go put the contract into my bank box," Xie Jingyu then ordered his assistant.
Although the bank was closed now, nothing was impossible for Xie Jingyu since he had too much money. He could open the bank if he wished for it to open.
Yu Huiyin was suddenly overwhelmed by a bad omen. How could this contract be so important to him that he opened the bank for the sake of storing it?
She looked at the documents he was handing her and was slightly hesitating to take it. She had a bad feeling.
"What? Regretful? You already signed it, so there is no turning back."
Taking a deep breath, she accepted the contract, and the more she read, the paler her face became. She was furious and indignant.
How was this similar to be an assistant? How was this a regular job? Clearly, the contract stated that she was to be his wife and that she could not cancel the marriage at any time.
If she were to break the contract, she had to pay ten billion dollars. It was simply impossible for her, so there was no way of thinking about breaking the contract.
Seeing her shocked, angry, and helpless expression, Xie Jingyu felt very pleased with himself.
