"Life lived too short"
Leinad Amel dreams of himself on a hill with his mother and father sharing a meal together and smiling but he's interrupted by someone poking him awake. His friend Ana Guerrero wakes him informing him about the school announcement asking him to come to the office, annoyed Leinad stands up and struts to the door with his classmates teasing him along the way. while walking down he notices the teachers whispering to each other and staring at him, flustered he rushes to the office only to be greeted by a police officer and his principal asking him to take a seat, confused he sits down and they ask him about his well being before explaining that an accident has occurred in his home involving his mother. suddenly he remembers a flashback to his mother contracting a sickness and due to their poverty, they couldn't afford a doctor visit, he searches for work at a old junkyard and begins to purchase medicine for his mother but her sickness never went away. The officer explained that she made a phonecall to the police about her sickness because she knew that her time has come and leaves a final message to her only son.
"My son, this world is not a nice place, it has evil and hatred around every corner, but you will meet those who are willing to put an effort to be by your side, it just takes time to see it."
Leinad begins to fall in tears hearing his mother's message.
"I apologise that I can't be here to guide you, but you are strong enough to carry on, strong enough where I can die, and leave the rest of this world to you."
The officer explains that she has passed away on arrival to the hospital, and that he has been accepted to a home where he can regain his focus until they can contact his family to search for a new guardian.
"Don't bother" says Leinad
both the principal and officer looked in confusion
"I'm the last Amel, there's no other family members."
