Rachel took Cynthia's hands in hers and skipped away to go to the centre of the field where there was a swing. Arnold could here laughter's coming from the field. They looked so happy that it burned his eyes. Though he was used to him and her bookworm of a sister being the only people who would play with her, he knew it was right for him to introduce more friends to her so she wouldn't be lonely when he is caught up with other things.
The community they lived in was a wealthy community and so many children only played with people that their parents tell them to play with, for connections purposes. Even Rachel's own older brother played with kids that come from greater influence and not his own sister. As he was heir Arnold could not blame him.
Arnold's family was the only family that did not get the pressure of guests from other family in the community mainly because they just moved back from abroad are especially low key so low key that those thinking they come from new money don't know that community and a few other neighbouring ones belong to his family.
His father was never a business person so he and his mother were surgeons. Something his grandfather never went against. He always let's his family do what makes them happy. And nothing makes Arnold happier than making more money and designing buildings. So the little man was an heir in training already for when his grandfather would hand him the reigns of the business.
Him and Rachel met by chance at the community church when he and his family had gone there one day and from then on there bond grew and Rachel would play with him and his sister Elizabeth in the small play area at the back of the community that used to be the main play area until another fancy once was built.
"Hey! Why are you here by yourself?" Elizabeth talked while walking towards Arnold with a book in her hands. She loved reading. She would always be spotted with a book in her hands no matter where they were.
Arnold turned to the little pale girl with pigtails donned on a black little dress with her signature glasses walking towards him and smiled at her inquiry pointing to where Rachel and Cynthia were playing at.
Elizabeth turned to look and saw Rachel and Cynthia playing catch with a pink ball she remembered was a gift from Arnold to Rachel for her birthday. She had always kept that ball close not allowing anyone to touch it but she was now playing happily with it with someone else.
She smiled knowingly giving her brother a look seeming to be saying she knew what was up with him. Almost like she had figured why he was quiet by himself.
Being the evil her she could not let it go without a tease,"Hey! Are you jealous? Come on isn't she just gorgeous? I would give her my everything aswell." Ending it with a complicated sigh she sneaked a peak at Arnold to make sure her tease was successful.
Arnold returned her look that seemed to say she would paying for her words real soon and soon she did. He grabbed her book and ran with it to where the two girls were playing giving it to Cynthia. " This is from Elizabeth a greeting gift. " With the end of his words came Elizabeth high on his heels and swang her arm to his back something that seemed to have happened more often as Arnold had seen it coming and was able to get out of her way before the hand could come swinging down on his back.
"It's not fair! I only used my words but you just gave away my favourite book!" Elizabeth was shaking angrily still trying to grab ahold of Arnold and deliver her punishment.
