Chapter 1 - The Magic Continent of Elquity

"Oi where is this?"

Seru sat upright on the unfamiliar bed and looked around. The room was shabby and the walls around him were constructed of straw. There was no furniture, only emptiness surrounding the itchy bed of straw which he was currently laying on.

"What the.. "

On his head was a red towel. It had a faint scent of a girl on it.

Standing up, Seru removed the towel and put it in his pocket.

"What the heck am I wearing?"

His clothes were big and worn out. It would give others an image that the boy standing in the hut was a peasant farmer, wearing hand-me-downs from his impoverished father.

Seru scratched his head.

He had no idea how he got here. He recalled that he was solo queuing ranked on League of Legends before a bright light appeared in front of him and sucked him in.

"Well, I hope my team understands my predicament and doesn't report me."

He walked to the door and pushed it open.

[In another kingdom far away]

"Your Majesty! It's been 24 hours and the last one still hasn't appeared. Out of the 7 heroes summoned, only 6 have been successfully summoned!"

The official reported towards a huge golden throne. On the throne sat a handsome middle-aged man wearing a wild beast's fur coat, giving a sense of majesty and power. The man's name was Lionel Reinhardt and was the ruler of the kingdom of Elquity.

Lionel sighed.

"We can only make do with what we have. Each hero summoned cost an exorbitant amount of resources. We don't have anymore magic crystals to reactivate the summoning circle."

The kingdom was running out of talents. With the incoming beast tide, it was prophesied by his Grand Wizard, Blaze that the kingdom would fall into chaos.

"Quickly, gather all of our top cultivation resources! We need to accelerate their growth so that they are prepared for the beast tide. Call them over to the palace immediately!"

The majestic king waved his hand.

"And call Merlin over! He will appraise their potentials and send them to the northern border to accumulate battle experience."

The official bowed.

"Right away your Majesty!"

He hurriedly made his exit through the huge palace entrance.

[Elquity's Summoning Circle]

A group of 6 teenagers are huddled in the large, dome building.

" Where the heck are we?"

" Who the heck are you?"

" Nobody here has any idea either?"

"Wait... I've seen all of you people before." One teen named Gideon spoke up. His deep voice was hesitant at first, then slowly grew in confidence as he recalled their faces.

"Yeah… Yeah! Remember? We were in that room together for over 3 days."

His face paled as he recalled their previous experience in "that room". The group of teens were transported prior to Elquity from a hidden plane. The plane that they were previously transported to was a world that was completely white and empty. There was a hundred teens in total that were taken there from Earth. They were the only ones that survived from that hundred. Everyone recalled their horrifying experience in that other plane and the atmosphere immediately became solemn. For some reason, their memories were crudely wiped after leaving that plane but they were able to recall it once they woke up.

Gideon took on the role of the leader as he did before and scanned over the group to review the members.

"Rian"

"Here"

A fair-haired boy with curly golden locks raised his hand. He seemed scrawny and weak yet his blue eyes were sharp and knowing. His eyes darted from person to person as if he wouldn't even let a minute details escape his vision.

"Albeda"

"Here"

A girl with long brown hair in a neatly tied bun and hazel eyes spoke resolutely. Her slender hand elegantly and confidently went up. Every one of her movements was elegant and graceful. She gave off the air of an aristocrat even though they were wearing the same plain white clothes.

"Bryos"

"Present"

A robust boy saluted as he spoke. His voice was deep and his larger frame overshadowed the other teens. His hair was black and spiky, like a porcupine. His overly stiff posture and seriousness made the rest of the group smile.

"Maurits"

"Here"

A voice spoke out plainly as Gideon called out the name. Everyone turned towards the voice to see a black haired boy with pale and flawless skin. His hair drooped down past his narrow shoulders and thin, fragile arms to his waist, where it was tied loosely with a red cloth.

"Jenny"

"Here"

A shy voice spoke. Gideon turned to look at the final member. The plain clothes she wore failed at hiding any bit of her beauty and even further accentuated her curves. Her auburn hair made her stand out even more amongst the group. She resembled a beautiful rose bud among plain white daisies. Even Maurits, the most oblivious and nonchalant of the boys couldn't help but give a quick glance.

*Cough* "Alright, it seems like we're all here. Except for …him…"

When Gideon spoke, Jenny's eyebrows furrowed with worry scanning around the room, hoping that maybe they missed their final member hiding in some discreet corner, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Did he… make it?"

Bryos asked the group.

"He wouldn't die that easily, I believe he's still out there somewhere…He has to be!"

Jenny spoke resolutely. Her pretty eyes were a little swollen and red.

Gideon gave Jenny a comforting hug and calmed her down.

"I agree, but as of this moment we have to get stronger so that we won't hold him back."

As the official sent by the king approached the group he noticed the group of teens they summoned had some kind of similar aura that connected all of them together. They looked determined and united.
