Chapter 13 - Eastern Border 2: The ALLEN Twin

Princess Luna Ming has been holding the entrance of South Gate for hours already. She's losing breaths. Her energy almost runs out, throwing mighty arrows that will explode when they land on the ground.

She looks around, and the wounded numbers are climbing. Pained throbs her heart seeing her knights are helpless. It's been four days since the 'border war' erupted.

"Princess! Princess?" One of her knights shaking her shoulder.

"Marionne, what is it?" She asks her knight after she gets back to her senses.

"Princess, the enemy made an advancement towards the Town Central! We need your orders," Marione patiently waited for her response.

She looks up at her then takes glances at her Knights. She needs to make a quick decision to save her knights and keeps hold of the South Gate. She gets up and walks around.

"We will take full attacked! Prepare for battle!" She commanded.

All that well left stood side by side and prepared to engage the enemies if they forward once more.

Luna glance at her shamans; she believes they will reach their limit soon.

"Prepare everyone after the shield down!" She yelled aloud. Luna gazed at the bow on her hand, the guardian Genbu who gave it to her several decades ago.

"My Knights--" Luna yells one more time, then look at each face of her knights. "I wanted to say how proud I am to all of you. Ever since our land has faced endless battles for so long, you were there fighting with me. I may once say that I'll give away my last breath protecting this border! I--" Luna grits her teeth and holds her bow firmly.

"I can't say to you anymore to live but die nobly protecting the land we love dearly!" She added, then raised her bow. "I'll stretch my bow until the last drop of energy! I may die in the future, or the next day, nor today! But, I will take this moment to tell you that it is my pride and honor that I can protect this land and be a knight to the Great Throne! It may empty for now, but I know the day will come that the new king will be born and give us the comfort he could offers!"

It was always on their mind how prosperous each of them cared under the Great King's shield. It is scarily beautiful to the point they felt like useless knights.

Their King themselves does not protect Knights, but knights are supposed to be born protecting the king and the people.

"And I, offer my life, to make that throne protected until the king arrives! Hail to the future Great King!" With these words, her knights' gone uproar and yells all their might.

The enemy pauses a moment to watch what's going on. They knew their opponents were losing more knights and severely their position, but it seems they were ready for another intense combat. They can't underestimate these border Knights. With their vast numbers of 35,000 armies, they were able to cut them into almost half. Defeating that kind of number is crazy. They wanted to believe that, indeed, the people of this Great Land are monstrous even without the King's shield.

Moreover, the general herself, the Princess of Ming Kingdom, is powerful to hold out this battle this long with only 3 000 Knights.

How did this happen? The information they have gathered is once the throne is empty, the Guardians will be put to sleep.

Then where did all this strength and power came from?

While these thoughts, playing inside the enemy's mind, Luna prayed.

Genbu, don't abandon us... We need you... I... I need your strength!

"For the people of Ming Kingdom!" Commander Rye shouted then the knights roars raising their battle gears.

"For the Great Land!" Marine screamed.

"For the Great King!" Kier yells.

"For the Great Guardians!" Bob shouted.

"For our dear Great Guardian Genbu!"

The Knights of two thousand and five hundred roared with all of their brave hearts; as their shields have now lowered, the enemy made a hasty march forward. The next had happened, exchanging strikes from each side.

Clashes of swords to be heard, and arrows flew from every corner are to be seen.

Luna's knights fought fearlessly. They were trained to the extreme, yet they'd stay adhere to the King's security. So may their numbers slowly fall, but those who could still wield their swords, axes, and spears are fought bravely.

However, the enemy's numbers are unbeatable. Her knights grew exhausted. One by one, more of her knights falls to the ground. Luna feels weary, and she needs to do more. She ached to protect all of her knights and shielded them.

By the desires of her heart, she screams. The ground is suddenly shaking.

The next moment, a green light surrounded the princess' body—her beautiful green eyes fire.

She stretches her bow full of strength then releases it... there, flew in the sky hundred of glowing arrows at the same time.

Stunned, the shamans restore their mana. They quickly assisted the knights, healed their wounds immediately, lifted their energy, and boosted enough power.

Inside Luna's realm, her naked body felt enormous warmth. She embraces her own body, and this ardent power surrounded her is from Genbu's energy.

She felt like, Genbu himself holding her in his arms.

However, after thriving strength from the help of their guardian Genbu, the enemy's reserves arrive and assist their comrades by giving them energy.

With this, they are forced to falls back considerably. Luna keeps throwing her arrows, commanding her knights to fall back.

She and her commanders stay upfront and facing the approaching enemies.

Luna gathers her last energy, and so her commanders. Now or never, they are prepared to face their death.

It was like a slow-motion before their eyes. Their enemies yell loudly, coming to them.

But before they could step one more, the sky grew darker. Later then, hundreds of glowing spears landed before their feet, and they halted instantly.

Now the spears blocked their way and became a barricade.

"These spears are from--" Bob mutters, unfinished his words.

"Princess!"

Luna's messenger jumps off from his winged beast and kneels in front of Luna. He looks up happily and gives his report.

"Prince Lewey and Prince Levi have arrived!" The messenger enthusiastically reported.

In the beginning, Luna was left speechless. Then, marine hugged her and cried, "Princess, we are saved! General Leonard successfully seeks the assistance of the Water City!"

The truth is, she doesn't want to die yet. Instead, she'd planned to live longer and grow older, continuing to fight for the Great Land.

Later realizing what's happening, tears escape from Luna's eyes. Her legs kneel on their own into the ground, and a considerable amount of anguish lifts from her shoulder. She sighs with relief.

Prince Lewey and Prince Levi are the Allen twin from the Water City, the Allen Kingdom. They who guarded the South Border, their Ocean territory.

Thank god, for her brother, Leonard convinced the Byakku Knights to aid them as the border threatened war to breakouts.

Genbu, thank you... dear guardian Byakku, I am so grateful to you.

After muttering this, she embraces her bow closer to her chest. She believes, with this weapon, she could connect to the guardians.
