Chereads / The Great Queen and the Twin Dragon Sword / Chapter 15 - The Princess Hostage

Chapter 15 - The Princess Hostage

The arrival of the Byakko Knights shaking the force of the Luriah warriors. However, the Prince is determined to pursue the battle, but his advisors begged him to make a peace treaty instead.

Although he has his pride, he must consider this proposal. Truly he still has numerous warriors to aid them, not to mention he has 15 000 warriors able to fight; however, could he win against them? He was informed of the Genbu Knights' power and strength, and something must not be taken lightly; although the guardian is asleep, they may stand as a victor.

Then right now, there are 10 000 Byakko Knights, and the 2 500 Genbu Knights are ready to advance anytime soon. The prince thought, if ever the Great Land will engage now, can they survive in this battle they begin with? How great the loss he'll get? He's trying to weigh things.

The prince has a serious thought inside his tent when his Head Advisor requests his presence, and he gestures to come in.

"Your Highness, the Princess of the Ming Kingdom, sent one of her commanders." He was told.

"Hmm... Why her commander? Can't she come herself?" The Prince tease. His advisor has a cold sweat with his statement.

He knew how arrogant and rude his Prince was. It's nothing to be surprised about.

The Head Advisor got up and went outside to carry his words.

"Am afraid the Prince will just speak to the Princess."

Commander Kier's brows shudder in anger. How dare this prince is!

"Do you think your prince is worthy? The fuck!" he yells.

The warriors of the Luria felt offense by it. They roar towards him and his other two companions.

"Know your place! You are outside of your comfort zone!" they threatened him. They were meant for protection.

Kier laughs. One of the generals attempts to take out his blade, but before releasing his sword, a golden arrow landed on his feet. He was stunned.

"That's my princess," Kier grinned. "Did you all ever think, if she decided to take all you down right now, right here, she would not gladly do so? Not to mention the Allen Twin." Kier reverses the threats. "But you all not worthy of it!" he added.

The warriors got silent and gave a thought. Could they win right now or in the future? Or never? It seems like they only have two choices, to get defeated entirely today and never win in the end. That is not even a choice!

The warriors glance at the head advisor. He felt pressurized, and could he convince his prince? He glances at the tent where the prince stayed. He has no courage to go back and talk to his prince when he's in the middle of indecent behavior with his woman companions. He sighed furiously. What will the kingdom come if his prince inherits the crown as the King of Luria?

The Head Advisors' take glances at his junior advisors. Even they would not venture to, and they just avoid making eye contact with him. He was reeling, and he is old and supposed to be enjoying his retirement! He tilted his head when he noticed a winged beast coming down fast at them.

The rider jumps off from the winged beast even before it lands on the ground.

Kier is witnessing this, and his eyeballs want to jump off out of his eyes, and his mouth drops to the ground.

Standing between them is a very beautiful woman. Although, his Princess is undeniably gorgeous, like a goddess. But this woman also possesses that kind of beauty.

"Princess Lena!" cried the head advisor. He felt relieved.

Ignoring Kier, she turns to the Head Advisor, "Where's my stupid brother?" Lena asked.

Everyone pointed to the Royal Tent. Lena's hair is standing behind her. She marched angrily and whirled the tent away by her power.

The Prince, who is currently making out with his woman, got upset but saw his sister. He was suddenly got a freeze in the bed, and his woman ran out of the bed.

"Ah, sister! How rare for you to visit me while on the battlefield?" he said nervously.

May the princess is younger than this Prince, but she is more capable of taking a serious role as one of Luria's generals.

"Zephyr! What the hell are you doing!?"

Princess Lena already received all the reports about the happening of the war. She thought they could win this war. She is also prepared to aid her stupid brother, but the table turns around, and their defeat is getting clear.

To avoid more complexities, the princess quickly flew to take care of things by herself.

One of the younger advisors approached the princess and whispered into her ear. The princess's brows meet due to anger. She glared at her idiot older brother before walk away to face the Ming Kingdom diplomats.

Princess Lena looks at the three men. She glances at the golden arrow in the ground then fixes her gaze into the broad desert towards the Ming Kingdom border.

She was heard of how powerful the Ming Princess is... With this distance, Lena was truly very impressed by how protected the Ming princess was to her knights. Something she was inspired from... Lena smiled.

She stared at the Commander. She clears her throat because this guy's face is acting funny.

Kier settles himself and wears a serious face.

"Greetings, my Princess," Kier greeted in a Knightly manner. He could feel all the eyes darted on him. Well, well... He felt the same way, too, when Princess Luna met or talked to a stranger, and he did the same.

"On behalf of the Ming Kingdom, I wanted to relay my Princess Luna's words." Kier continued.

"Go ahead," Lena permitted.

"The Princess suggested for the Luria's warriors to end this meaningless battle."

Lena thought for a moment. "Indeed. I agreed that this is now just a meaningless war."

"Lena!" Prince Zephyr shouted, and his face showed how he disagreed, but his sister just ignored him.

"This is my warriors! I, who has the right to make any decisions whether I will withdraw or pursue to win this battle!"

Hearing this, Lena turned her head and glared at her brother. This idiotic moron. Right now, they are absolutely don't have all the strength and power against the Great Land.

Even though the Ming Kingdom just sent 3 000 Knights, it is more like an insult to them. Their 15 000 warriors were just defeated only by 3 000 Knights, and how shameful was that already? And now, being assisted by the Water City Byakko Knights, their chances are thin, and she won't take a risk that much further.

She gives her brother the cold shoulder then continues her conversation with the sent commander.

"Please ignore my brother's words. As a crowned princess of Luria Kingdom, I volunteer to be the Ming Kingdom's hostage. From here on, I took the responsibility of my kingdom."

After the princess stated this, her warriors were shocked to hear her announcement. They all groan in disbelief and disagree, and Lena raises her right hand to silence them.

"We can go now," she told Commander Kier.

On the other hand, Kier himself was surprised at how the Princess would go this far for her kingdom. Although this is a very effective offer, he's not dumb, not doubting the princess's true intentions.

However, with this, it will be easy to deal with, and so he agreed.

Before leaving, Lena commanded her brother to return to the Luria Kingdom and report this to their father. Although against his will and feels ashamed of what face he'll show to their people, he has no choice.

He believes that the Ming Princess could be shot at his head and claimed his death at this moment in an instance.

And not a long moment had passed, another golden arrow landed on the ground. This time was aiming for the Prince. Sweat began trailing his forehead. He bent and picked up the arrow just half an inch from his foot. He unties the golden lace and reads the message in it.

"I am now impatient. If my Knight's still not received an answer, I won't think twice anymore to engage another battle."

This is from the Ming Princess herself. Prince Zephyr's face now turns pale. He believes the princess is not joking. She could throw arrows this far effortlessly. If she wanted to declare war, she could directly shot at his head or his sister. He looks at her sister, and they exchange gazes, then he nods, agreeing to what the Princess offers.

This kind of gesture leaves a very pleasant impression on Princess Lena. The Ming Princess is interesting. Her true intention why she'd volunteered to be the Ming's hostage is she wanted to know more about the Princess and the guardians. She already heard good rumors circulating in the Water City, and this made her anxious.

Lena whistled her winged beast, then jumped on it in the air and flying towards the Ming Kingdom at East Gate Entrance, where both the Genbu and Byakko Knight's waiting.

Commander Kier and his two companions made light kicks commanding their mount beast to run, riding back to the Ming Kingdom.

Prince Zephyr clenched his palm helplessly. How come that despite the Great Kingdom has no Great King seated on the highest throne and no guardians that fought by their side, they are still this indestructible?

It is something and very impressive how the rest of the supported kingdom are very loyal to the Throne. That is something to be proud of at the same time envy with...

At that moment, Prince Zephyr realizes things he wants to do from now on. Something for his family's future and the kingdom. He can't help but smirk.

Is this what his sister wanted him to learn? She is notably a noblewoman worthy of being the heir of the crown. But he is now prepared to learn everything to be a great prince himself in the future and be worthy as the next Luria King.

"Let's go! Let's give a hand to the South Border War!"

The Luria Kingdom itself faces its own war against the entire continent. Many small and big kingdoms wanted to imitate the Great Land of ruling the whole continent by making it united under the rule of one.

However, many small cities wanted to be independent, and small kingdoms were content with their status.
