They were met with a thunderous applause and cheering. Everyone in the city had come to see them, even people from out of the city. They cheered as they walked down to the walkway, towards the middle of the crowd. They stood in the middle and turned to each other. Cassidy pulled him towards her and they embraced as the crowd cheered. No one seems to care that it is Cassidy, huh. They separated and walked down the stage. The crowd parted letting them pass. The stage was quickly removed, giving space for the celebration to start. There were four chairs set up at one side of the square, they were higher than the other chairs, the two in the center were taller than the ones on the side. Hugo and Cassidy sat in the center and his parents joined them. The crowd talked as music played in the open air. The tables were soon filled and Hugo asked for silence. The noise suddenly stopped as they awaited his speech.
"Ahem," He cleared his throat, "I would like to thank you all for supporting me these past 22 years, through hardships and lows, but this empire has grown and I am happy to be at the head of it."
"Long live our leader!" The crowd cheered.
"Now, now, before we continue, I would like to thank my parents for being here."
"His parents? How old is he? I thought that they wouldn't be alive," The crowd whispered to each other.
"Maybe some of you have noticed, the older ones for sure, that," Hugo paused, "I don't age, and neither do my parents. This could be seen as a flaw, we are immortal beings, I count on giving all my time, until the creator calls me back, to my family and this family, our family," The crowd cheered, "Now let's begin this feast! What do you think?" The crowd cheered as they returned to their chatting as the food came around. Hugo felt a sharp jab in his side as he sat down. He turned and saw Cassidy with her arms crossed glaring at him.
"What did I do?"
"What didn't you do? Am I not your wife?" Hugo scratched his head.
"I am sorry, I owe you one now."
"We will sort it out tonight," She said as a malicious smile grew on her face, "Maybe we could come to an agreement."
"Ha ha ha! You two are amazing, take advantage of the time you have," Omega laughed before whispering to Hugo, "I wasted too much time with your mother."
"I haven't wasted anytime with Cass," He laughed, "Neither has she."
"Maybe we should start eating?" Sona but in, "The food will get cold."
"Sure, why not," He said as they began eating, "Quick question, when are you leaving?"
"I don't know," Omega leaned over to see Sona, "Did we plan such a thing?"
"No, actually," Sona said, "We might stay here for a little while at least."
"That will be cool, wouldn't it Hugo?" Cassidy asked as she took a drink of the wine, "What do you think?"
"Sure, they are welcome to stay," Hugo said, "Hey father, about that duel, out at sea?"
"A small beach would be nice."
"Wait, what duel? How come no one told me?"
"Oh yeah, I talked with my parents when they arrived by boat, so to test this," He held out his amulet, "My father offered a duel."
"Don't kill yourself," Cassidy said, "That would be fucking stupid wouldn't it?"
"He won't be dead, but tonight you might have to deal with a very tired Hugo," Omega laughed, "I might push him a little, he has no idea of his powers, I do."
"Father, you are embarrassing me."
"I find it funny, should I tell her stories of when he was younger?" Sona giggled, "That would be embarrassing."
"Guys stop," He said, "I don't deserve this."
"Should I tell you two about the time he declared his flame to me? He was so nervous," Cassidy said making Omega and Sona laugh.
"Stop, seriously," He said as he took a drink, "If you want Cass, I can tell them stories about you too, you know."
"Don't you dare," She said suddenly pissed off, "I can do the same."
"Brinkmanship, you two are funny, the emotions will settle down tomorrow, you can tell us those stories later," Omega said, "It's not like we don't have some embarrassing stories."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I have some about her," He pointed at Sona, "Sona, are you."
"I am not, not drunk."
"Here we go again," Omega sighed, "She is a total lightweight, I can hold myself better, probably habit."
"Same here, Cass gets drunk off of 14 degrees."
"Sona can get drunk in two glasses of 10 degrees."
"Two?! At least Cass goes until five or six," Hugo and Omega laughed. The waiters took the plates and others were brought, "Hep, another glass," The waiter bowed his head and left with the plates he was carrying.
"What some of this Hugo?" He said as he pulled out a small bottle, "My own."
"Really? What is it?"
"Pure," He smiled, "I love this stuff."
"Pure?" He whispered and grabbed Cassidy's cup as she was talking with Sona, "Give her some, she won't notice the difference with water and she can't stand strong alcohol."
"You do this all the time?" Omega asked, "If I did this with your mother, she would be drunk for two days," Hugo pushed the glass back.
"Now we wait for her reaction," Hugo said, "Try not to laugh too much."
"This looks really good," Cassidy said as the plates arrived, Sona was nearly blackout drunk.
"Cassidy, pass me her cup," Omega said pointing at Sona's cup, "I think she drank enough," She nodded and took her cup, "She rarely drinks so when she does she destroys herself."
"Same thing with her," They both began laughing, "But she drinks more often than mother probably does."
"Hep," He elbowed him as Cassidy took her glass of 'water', "Three, two, one," She violently coughed. She grabbed her neck and coughed, looked at the liquid in her glass. She moved it to her nose and smelled it. She moved her head back nearly instantly. She turned to Hugo and Omega who were laughing.
"What the fuck is this?" Cassidy asked, "The fuck did you add to my glass?"
"Nothing, just a little pure alcohol," Omega said showing her the bottle, "Did you like it?"
"No! Hugo, couldn't you have stopped him?"
"No, I wanted to see your reaction," He laughed, "The celebrations will probably last more than just this small period of time, Father, you can bring mother back to the room, she had a little too much to drink."
"Hugo, I have a question."
"Yes Cass, Wha-, you are bright red, I think we have two drunks on our hands," Hugo said as she moved closer to him, "Ask away."
"Who do you prefer me, or her?" She pointed at Sona.
"You," Hugo said looking at confused, "Do you doubt that?"
"You don't like me?" Sona whined.
"I do b-."
"You like me or her?" Cassidy asked, "Tell me!"
"I like my mother as a son likes his mother and I like you as my wife. Is that clear enough?"
"So you like her more than me?" Cassidy whined as she grabbed his arm.
"No! That isn't what I said, I said that I like her as a mother and you as a wife, two different types of love."
"Stop dodging the question! Who do you prefer?" Cassidy asked again.
"Why do I deserve this? Father, can you help me?"
"Sona has bigger boobs than Cassidy," He took a drink and laughed.
"She is your wife and my mother! Can you deal with her? What did I do?"
"Sona stop toying with him, he has had enough," Omega said as he took another drink.
"I am not toying with him, I actually want to know."
"What?! First you get drunk, now this? You have to control yourself."
"Hugo answer the question!"
"I prefer you," He said bluntly, "Is that clear? I love you but I like my mother as a mother not the same type of love, for fuck sake."
"Okay," She rested her head on his shoulder, "I like that answer."
"You are drunk," Hugo said as he took another drink, "Father, bring mother to the room, have her rest, she is drunk out of her mind."
"Come on dear," He said as he lifted her from her seat, "I already told you to control yourself, but nothing you can do now, let's go."
"I think that I should declare a complete day off today, what do you think?" He asked Cassidy, who was asleep on his shoulder, "Well, I think I should take my own decision. Ahem! Today will be a day off! There is no need to work on this amazing day! I must leave you, have a good day," He saluted the crowd and they saluted him and he picked up Cassidy as he left. That went smoothly.
He walked up to the house and sat her down on a chair. He untied the strings that held her dress around her body. He pulled off her dress and shoes and laid her in the bed. She was sleeping deeply and drunkenly, he kissed her. He put her dress on a chair with her shoes. He removed his clothes and put on his everyday pants and belt. He put on his coat and grabbed the clothes. No space for these things in here, massive fucking dress. He walked down to the tailor's workshop. Empty, I'll just leave them here. He put them on a table in the backroom and left the store. He walked into the tavern, empty as well, the men were on the main square, eating, drinking and having fun. He walked up to the room that his parents shared. He knocked, "Come in!" His father called. He opened the door.
"How is mother?"
"Asleep, and Cassidy?"
"As well," Omega laughed, "I removed her dress and everything, she was so visibly uncomfortable in that thing, oh and about the duel? When should we do it?"
"I think Sona will be asleep 'till tonight," Omega said looking down at her, "We could go out to sea and do it now."
"Sure," Hugo agreed, "Let's go?"
