Chapter 28 - Divine Punishment

Hugo sat up violently, he looked around. What the fuck is this? What is this place? He was on a cold, stone floor. He rose to his feet, he looked around, it was too dark to see far in the room.

"Do you like it?" The room lit up brightly, revealing Jarvan standing in front of him.

"Jarvan, what do you fucking want?"

"I don't know, I don't think you held your part of the deal," He said, "Now, welcome to my torture chamber, I brought you here, you won't die but you might leave here in a lot of pain, the creator has given me this chance, a chance to fuck you up."

"You motherfucker," He gritted his teeth, "But I have the same powers as you, this could go for ages."

"No, correction, you HAD! I can get rid of my own curse on you and that amulet is now useless," He said as the amulet faded from his chest, "Now that you are at a disadvantage, let's have a friendly duel."

"I am not a simple human."

"How so? I know you are immortal but what else?" He stood still with his arms crossed as two black wings stretched out of Hugo's back. His forearms turned into two blades and a pair of horns rose from his head. He jumped at Jarvan and swung his right arm, aiming for his neck. Jarvan moved his head to the side dodging the blow. He crossed his arms behind his back. Hugo jumped at Jarvan once again and drove his foot towards Jarvan's head. He put his hand up and stopped the kick, he didn't move. Hugo pushed off and flipped landing a few meters away from him. He stood up and wrapped his wings around his arms. His wings were absorbed into his arms and created two blades on the side of his fore arms, he slashed the ground. He leaped at Jarvan bringing his blade into his hands. Jarvan caught it with his hand and stopped it. Hugo placed his left hand on the floor and spun his left foot up to Jarvan's head. He blocked it with his other hand and then shoved him, sending him crashing against the wall. He crossed his arms behind his back again. Hugo bounced off the wall and crashed to the floor. He pushed himself off of the floor and got back to his feet. He drew his blades back into his arm and a black set of armor formed around his body. A black blade lined his forearms. He jumped forwards and swung his arms down. Jarvan caught them without any difficulty. Hugo was violently tossed to the side once again. He looked up and noticed Jarvan looking down at his hands. He put them back behind his back and Hugo noticed a small red marks on his left hand. Blood. He leaped forwards once again and Jarvan tripped him and threw him against a wall. He slammed against the wall and fell to the floor. He pushed himself off the ground again. He absorbed his armor and moved his power into his right arm. He ran towards the Jarvan and spun bringing more force into his punch. Jarvan lifted his hand and received the punch entirely in the palm of his hand. Jarvan and him entered a stare down. Neither of them backed away, both increasing their power. Jarvan smirked and grabbed his fist and swung him at the wall. He flew through the air and smacked into the wall, sending a wave of pain down his back. Jarvan walked over to him.

"Give up?" Hugo swung another punch at Jarvan and it met its target in his stomach. But seemed not to affect him. Jarvan picked him up and threw him across the room. Hugo slammed into the wall, his arm returned to a normal form and his horns then crumbled on his head. He could barely get up. He lifted his body and saw Jarvan's boot in front of him. He felt himself being picked up and hurled him across the room again. Hugo lurched in pain as pain shot throughout his body. Jarvan lifted him to his feet. He could barely stand. He fell back and his body leaned against the wall. Jarvan pushed his chin up with his hand. His face was a emotionless. He grabbed Hugo's left arm and brought it behind his back. Hugo couldn't resist anything. Jarvan pulled his arm violently back behind him. A pop was heard, then a crack. Hugo fell to the floor grabbing his arm, but before he could do anything Jarvan picked him up again and did the same with his right arm, another pop, another crack. Hugo howled in pain.

"Willing to give up? Willing to get rid of the warring policy?" Hugo tried to kick him, "Do you really want to die?" Hugo landed a violent kick to the side of his head before Jarvan caught it and lifted his nearly lifeless body and swung him at the wall. His body bounced off the wall and crashed to the ground. He rolled onto his stomach and lifted himself onto his knees. He pushed himself up once again. Jarvan slammed his knee into Hugo's stomach. Hugo bounced off the wall. Jarvan went to attack him again.

"Jarvan! What are you doing?" Hugo heard a familiar voice, "This is between us, he is not involved.

"Sil, what do you want? I have some business to get to."

"The creator never allowed you to do such a thing, Hugo is the son of the man who killed you, and now you attack him, do you want to become a banished soul? Like you were before you became a god? You better make sure that you get rid of those curses you gave him, and his wife before the creator finds out," He said, "If you do, I will hold my tongue, but this man can't be battered because of our rivalry."

"If you say so," He said as he dropped Hugo to the floor, "You take care of him, I don't have the power to heal anyone."

"Leave," Sil said as he knelt next to Hugo and Jarvan left the realm, "I am sorry I brought you into this, I should be able to fix you, maybe I could get rid of the pain along with the broken bones. I'll send you back as soon as I can, we wouldn't want Cassidy think you left and have her panic would we? Don't answer my question, it was rhetorical. How did you last this long?"

"Demonborn," He forced the words from his mouth. Sil moved his arms back into their sockets. He placed his hands on his shoulders and his thumb turned into a needle. He jabbed Hugo's shoulders shoulders and the pain slowly vanished. He rose to his feet and pulled Hugo to his feet.

"You should be fine now," Sil said as his thumb regained a human aspect. He opened two portals, "This one will bring you back to Terruna, if I planned well, it should bring you back in your home, I will be going, chao," He walked through the portal and it closed behind him, leaving Hugo in the dark, empty room. He pushed himself up and knelt on the floor. Sharp pain shot throughout his body.sweat dripped down his forehead and fell to the ground in front of him. His heavy breathing broke the silence in the room. He got up on unsteady feet. He stumbled around before falling back against the wall behind him. His head bounced off the wall. He stumbled forward and fell through the portal.
