"Damn, I didn't expect what we got was a quest like this," Ar stated its conservancy.
The three people who got a 'High Rank Quest' in an Exclusive Area didn't move a bit since they were left by Ranwulf, who gave this quest.
A Wyvern moved slightly away from its original position, it didn't make them concern about chasing it or something.
In a common sense of the 'series', it was best to attract an aggro of a monster that wander alone. In the gaming term, it was what it called META. Most Efficient Tactic Available. The same as Warrior Players that picked a shield as their first beginner weapon in the Begie Village. This thing called META was commonly said as the one that reduced the difficulty of this 'Hardcore-difficulty' game by more than a level.
The META would dynamically change based on the state of the Game. For example, the 'Shield'. In the state of the game it was stated as a META, 'shield' was confirmed as a non-existent item drop from the Goblin Dungeon and also from any merchant store in the Village.
With the high defending capabilities it gave to the Warrior Class, the demand for them was so high. 'Guilds' were even riding this momentum. They made 'transactions' with this META.
Members of their guild would create a Warrior Character with Shield and offer services to help clear up their 'Trial Lv 10' or Bounty Quest assistance in the Swiljar City. With this, other than the benefit from the payment of the 'transaction', they could promote their Guild and recruit more members once the 'Guild' feature is officially unlocked in the game. The feature that was most 'chased' from most players in the community. Started from 'Big Power' and even to casual fans.
Since this is the most demanded feature from the community since years ago, the title of the one who unlocked an 'Easter Egg' of the Guild Feature would benefit anyone no matter who they were.
Unfortunately, for Ar who had the same purpose as those guys, he was stuck in a place where he even did not brave enough to follow the 'META' which can alleviate the quest by several folds.
And with that, he passed the wide-open opportunity. The Wyvern in front of them has arrived at the other place and 'greeted' its 'friend'.
"That's true. But to get it this early, we are still better than most of 'them'."
Stugrd also felt the same way as Ar. Especially for him who was the owner of this quest. But, he tried to see it from a more positive perspective.
Ar understood what Stugrd meant by 'them'. On the other hand, Korka was clueless.
"Anything wrong?" Korka ventured to ask.
After all, Korka had already seen how difficult the monsters with the other 'red' names they have fought. But, they successfully killed one out of the two. From his perspective, they should have about a 50% success rate if they fight it one at a time.
"The 'quest' changed, but this kind of quest has been one of the most controversial things in the game before," Stugrd explained.
"Yeah. Let's talk about it in the 'checkpoint zone'. " Ar suggested them to step back from the current location.
The area they were in right now was considered safe to wander and observe the environment around, but Ar has no desire to do these things now.
The checkpoint was simple and showed by the virtual indicator on the ground. Rather than that, on their User Interface, there was an icon that popped up once they enter it.
Monster-wise, not much they could see right now from the 'Cave Entrance'. Ar had the thought on his mind about how dirty this quest was.
"This is really a kind of deserted place or a prison. Obviously, it has a simple way to escape. Look at these two paths provided. " Ar pointed out the Cave and the 'Quest Area'.
"And there's no way we will 'escape' through the Cave," Stugrd said while looking at the dim light of the tunnel.
"Unless we have someone with a photographic memory (?)" Ar turned to Korka. Since he met him recently, there might be a surprise that will benefit them.
"Me? Of course not. If I have a photographic memory, I will follow any 'textbook' with no worry. And so.. how about the Quest?" Korka answered. Since there was no sign of them to try the quest, he took the initiative to sat on the gray-colored ground.
"Back then on 'RQE', this kind of 'quest' became a hot topic for the community. And the reason was simple, this quest was basically a 'do or die'."
The one who answered his question was Stugrd. He also followed Korka's initiative. There was no problem for them to stood for hours in this game since their legs wouldn't give up at all here. However, the habit of talking while sitting down will make them more comfortable.
"Is that what happens to us?"
"No. What we got has slightly changed. I don't know if this is 'their' adjustment or this quest has a lower 'Grade' than the one I mentioned, but that is one of the reasons why I said that we might be lucky."
Korka and Stugrd had a conversation between the two. This is Stugrd's way of understanding the friend next to him. He knew exactly the situation they were in right now.
Ar was the only expert in this 'area', He could not disrupt his 'brainstorming process' with an explanation of the past event.
On the other hand, Ar had his hand on his chin and tried his hardest to think about what they were doing. But, he also left some of his focus on the conversation. He wanted to take any piece of information he could gather.
"Because we are in the 'early game' as you said?"
"Correct. But, for the exact reasons, the only thing we lose from giving up this quest is the potential reward of this quest. Do you know what the 'players' from the RQE lose?"
Korka could only shake his head. He was clueless.
"It's their character they built for years."
"What!?"
Even for a newbie like Korka, he could understand the worth of the sentence.
"Back then, the only way to escape from the 'quest' was a 'reset character'." Stugrd continued.
"Reset character? Like the one we will receive from the new class discoveries? It looks so valuable based on what I read on the forum."
"Yes. The players I mentioned have given a 'reset character' item before the quest. In our case, Ranwulf might give it to us if the quest was similar before he teleported away."
Korka was listening to the explanation attentively. He nodded along the sentence to gestured that he understood the words.
"This player spreads out how valuable the quest he got based on this item. And it's not wrong at all, if he can clear the quest, he might become a high-rank player and a billionaire. And of course, that's not happened."
"Billionaire!?"
"Those tradeable items were so rare back then. It auctioned for billions."
With an exclaim with the sound of 'Wooow ~', Korka expressed his surprise.
"That's unfortunate that he used it himself." He mumbled.
"Well, on top of that, to failed a valuable quest was not less hurt, either. And that's what happens to us. The global announcement for an 'easter egg' was only sounded once for A-, I mean for the new class discoveries. Sorry, Korka. But I hope you stick with us. We won't easily give up this quest. "
"There's no way I run alone. And on top of that, my 'potions' have values. So, even if I am a burden, these items won't be a burden. "
"You said it wrong. No one is a burden, including you. "
The one who said that was Ar. He still had himself on his thought but chimed in because of the sentence.
"That's true. I hope you don't say such a thing as mentioning yourself as a burden. "
Stugrd also added. He talked in a calm manner, but somehow there was a different pressure on his words.
"O-okay. Sorry. Then, how about our condition, if you ask for my 'potions', I have hundreds on my 'bag'." Korka tried to change the topic and focus.
"Hundreds? You stole a lot."
"I am not."
Of course, what Stugrd said was a joke to teased 'the Alchemist'. With a giggle, he wanted to rack up his brain too, but he has no confidence in this 'PvE' matters.
"And hundreds might not be enough. One of the main things in the PvE aspect is supply. Ar told me that. We have to hunt 300 [Quality] life force of the 'Wyvern'."
That was also what Ar had in his thought. That was unfortunate for him that he didn't have the information about the value of this [Quality]. He was pretty sure that the one mentioned on the Vi's and Avs Quest was about thousands of it.
"We can't recklessly waste our supply now. Unless we have a way to restock the supply." The strength continued.
"Wait. That's the point." Ar pointed out what Stugrd said and shifted all the focus to him. "We can restock. Although, I don't know if we can 'steal' more "flasks."
"I am not stealing."
