With some consideration, they chose the most natural option. It was also calculated as the most comfortable option they could think of.
"It really is fortunate."
Nod.
Stugrd nodded as a response. The one Ar talked about was a thing they had discussed earlier. It was stated as the most comfortable option that caused Ar to choose the natural-born instinct of the human being, curiosity.
The high cliffs on the right side of the gray-colored ground. They walked while sticking to these 'walls'.
It was a familiar scene for them with tropical trees around. What was new to this area was the 'new residents' who lurked around. They brought out an aura like the one in one of the most common classic genres of the games. An aura of patrol guard.
The Wyverns patrolled and we had to avoid their area of alert. Their aggro. Also one of the genres included in 'Ranker's Quest'. Casual Players were not required to have this kind of awareness, but for 'them' who played competitively, it was a must.
"I was a 'Pro' at this genre. My spatial awareness was mentioned as a natural-born talent."
"Hoho… and what is that? That's annoying."
"I won't complain if some casuals said that to me. But, since I said it to you, the best 'Player' of the term, no way it's annoying."
"If you have that talent, you should consider playing as an 'Assassin'."
And the chat went on as they passed the 'first quarter area'. The night was dimmed and became a not comfortable situation for Ar. And with that reason, Stugrd carried the walk with his 'eyes'.
Wyverns did their own activity and actually wouldn't give a shit to them. Of course, as long as no one invaded their private area called 'aggro'.
"Mapped and correct prediction. As expected of the 'best' PvE player."
What Stugrd said was based on what he saw after they passed the part of the unmapped area.
"Not a prediction, it was just what I hope."
"When it somehow becomes a realization, you should accept it as it is. Our instinct grows by the experience after all."
Shrug.
With a shrug, the journey to the 'second quarter' of the right side continued. As what they talked about, this part was symmetrical and was fortunate news for them. Easier time for spatial judgment and easier place to move.
They couldn't judge the trees' position as a symmetrical, but it was not essential for now. As long as these 'walls' that surrounded them had a simple structure, their trouble reduced by one level at least.
"Any chance of an entrance to another area?"
"Not sure. I just see some Wyverns have fruits from the tree."
"Well, I guess they can only be a vegetarian here."
One of the Wyvern Stugrd saw was enjoying a round fruit right under a tree. The fruit was split open by its claw and the Wyvern ate it heartily.
Some of the other Wyverns were like chatting with others. Wyverns like these were the number one blacklist and priority to avoid.
Only a single was a threat that could suffer us a lot.
If people asked their resolution of this quest, that might be the one they blurted out.
"If things go for the worst, the other area might be around the left side," Stugrd said.
They had not successfully traversed this 'second-quarter area', but the possibilities Stugrd said were quite plausible.
"But, that will make this area's design ugly."
Ar responded with quite the opposite statement about what the furry warrior had said.
"Hm?" Stugrd asked. He was not so sure about what Ar said.
"The sound was coming from around this right side. An entrance to 'their' area should be around here, then. A long detour from the left side won't be an appropriate map for a Boss Area."
Ar talked based on his experience. He was someone that devoured almost any information provided by the game and played along the whole seas of information. It was also one of the parts that he kept from the others.
His previous Class, Shadow Paladin was a part of this. He couldn't confirm the other 'Unique (Legendary)' players because of some unwritten and written rules, but even without the confirmation, this was his playstyle that naturally hard to get rid of.
Often interacted with NPCs and the environment of the 'World', this was what he kept.
The Map design he talked about was also a part of this ideal. What was Stugrd said regarding his 'prediction' of the symmetrical area was not entirely wrong. Ar was just not so sure and masked it as not a prediction.
After all, like what Stugrd achieved to be able to measured hit count between him and the Skunk from earlier, Ar also had it. Accumulated from a lot of experiences and information he received, somehow it became a part of his instinct to had an appropriate design for an area just from a glance.
"You thought of a Boss Area, but still want to..." Stugrd was speechless and stopped on his track.
He just tilted his beast-face to expressed his thought. Which somehow gave Ar an annoyance just by looking at it. Somehow he put a cute expression on top of that supposed to be a ferocious beast-face.
"Hey,... Aren't you curious? And don't use a face like that with what you just did."
"What's wrong?" Somehow it was added fuel to a fire. Stugrd raised his eyebrow and somehow made Ar remembered the term 'eagyou' of the other continent. It stood for a cute expression that was mainly used as a fan service from idols of that continent.
"Are you being serious?"
"Hahaha, sorry. A member of my 'community' shared a clip and somehow it stuck in me for quite a bit. You know, that 'Lightning Empress' was forced to do this and I can't help to keep it myself."
"But, you shouldn't do it. At least NOT TO ME." Ar emphasized some words and was just responded by a giggle.
"She's appropriate uses her unique achievement, you know? Not like a certain someone."
"I bet that 'certain someone' is an ugly bastard that doesn't know the worth of the title. AM I RIGHT?"
Somehow the journey continued with Ar roasted himself and Stugrd had a moment for enjoyment. With a Wyvern lurked near the side of the wall, they changed the route slightly and went in the 'inner circle'.
Near a tropical tree, Ar signaled to stop for a moment. He crouched in front of the tree and brought out some prism from his spatial bag.
"We almost forgot this, isn't it?" He asked a man that looked like a natural-born carnivore.
"Well, I'm not a PvE veteran, after all."
Glare. "I can handle Viro, but it's just so tiring to have this kind of talk with someone like you."
Eagyou.
Ar could not help but tried his hardest to focus on the thing he would try.
"Wow... It took a lot. Feel free to have mine."
"Of course, I will ask for it later"
The prisms he used were 'appraisal stone'. The higher the rarity, at least that was the common sense mentioned by the community the higher consumption it needed. But, even with what they mentioned as a higher consumption, it was safe to assume that no one had what Ar experienced now.
"Shit."
He already depleted most of his stock and asked another from the 'supplier' beside him. He left some in his 'bag' and not mentioned it just because, 'why should I?' That' what he thought.
Dozens of prism just gone like that without any sign of better prospect. And it went on just like that. With the total he combined with what Stugrd had, the count had almost reached a number of one hundred.
"This is bad, isn't it?"
Somehow Ar put on a pitiful face and seemed to beg forgiveness from his 'supplier'.
"Well, you can count me on 1v1, but not this. Don't worry, I'm a noob in PvE matter."
Glare.
And with that, Ar's expression changed instantly into an annoyance.
"Sigh.. but, I admit it. It's a Wyvern area and I expect something from their food at our current level."
"Even a Professor needs a new thing to learn every day."
Glare.
Stugrd reassured him while gave the opposite effect.
"But, Ar. Can I interrupt?"
The one who talked was someone inside his mind. As he heard that, he called the origin of the voice to reveal itself.
"Hi, Silv." Stugrd greeted a silver robotic kid that appeared out of the thin air.
"So, what is it?" Ar asked.
All this time, Silv only monitored them quietly and not even bothered to spoke at all.
"Do you hear a voice come from the item?"
"Item?"
Silv pointed out the fruit on the ground that had used up almost all of their appraisal stone's stock.
"And how do you hear them?"
"I started to hear it some moment ago. I'm not sure of the trigger."
Ar had not tried it yet and wanted to know how was Silv able to first. Then, he confirmed it with Stugrd who tried it the first he heard it, but his sense was disrupted by a lot of voices from the wind and Wyverns around. He could only shrug as a response.
So, even without any conclusive answer, he picked the fruit and put his ear closely.
