Chapter 3 - Discussion

They watched 'the trailer' attentively. At first, Viro had a lot of questions to ask but had to be prevented by his brother. Arie said that he would open the discussion once it finished altogether.

Harden 'the chef' left to the kitchen in the middle of the staff room. Viro only thought that he was not interested in the videos since he had seen the videos a lot of times to analyzed it and only interested in the discussion.

After the playlist ended, Arie started to lead the discussion.

"Okay, let's begin the discussion. Let's start with the very first character creation."

Not long after he said it, Harden came out of the staff room and brought out two bowls of instant noodles. One in each hand. He put them in front of Viro and Arie.

Viro recognized the bowls clearly. It was a famous instant noodle brand in the country. A bowl you would almost found in any home in the city.

Viro whose received a bowl of instant noodles in a supposed to be a restaurant, gave out a confused look to Arie and asked, "did you just ordered two bowls of instant noodles in a restaurant?"

"Yeah, because this will make our discussion be more relaxed, let's just say we are chatting as usual at home."

Viro looked a little disappointed but still tried to sip the instant noodle in front of him. With one 'slurp', his expression changed. The noodle should have a familiar taste on his tongue, but the taste was very different from what he felt.

After that sip, he tried to gobble out the bowl but was interrupted by Arie beside him.

"Hey, eat calmly. Why are you in a rush? the discussion has not even started yet."

"But it's so freaking delicious. How can you make this one?" Viro asked with his eyes stared curiously at Harden.

"Haha, it's just my secret recipe that works well as usual," Harden answered with a relaxed face like it was a usual response he got from his customer.

"Eat it comfortably. I can make more." Then he went back to the staff room and brought one more bowl of instant noodles and gave it to Berdian.

"Here, you have just witnessed his testimony. It's not an experimental recipe. This menu has guaranteed and often given to customers." Harden said.

"Huft, I'm still worried about that. I'm pretty sure the original taste is still better-"

Berdian said with a worried face. But, the Viro's 'scene' from before had repeated once more.

Berdian gobbled the noodle gluttonously. And with a burp, he gave the plastic bowl to Harden.

"One more!"

"Me too!" Viro followed after.

"Don't worry, Ar. I'll eat it leisurely next time." With an awkward expression, he turned his head toward Arie.

"Me too!" Viro added.

"Haah~" Arie sighed and just wanted and tried to move on to the main topic.

While Harden took the two bowls given to him and went back to the staff room, Arie opened the first video trailer and stopped at one clip.

"So, here is the character creation section. We'll choose a race, create a name, and tried possible adventurer classes."

The clip played for a few seconds showing how a player would first choose the race. It was showing a player chose between races.

It showed how a human race actually reflected the player's face but only changed it a bit to a more cartoonish style.

The clip continued to play, showed a highlight of the possible races; Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Beastkin. And it also showed some differences between their stats.

"Based on several analyses on the internet, Beastkin will be a race that able to allocate the attribute point freely in the character creation. It seems that if you were able to put a lot of your AP, shorts for attribute point, in one stats, your character's appearance would become more like a beast."

Arie played the video to a clip where it showed how the Beastkin race changed its appearance. It became a ferocious-looking wolf or a human with a dog-like ear based on how the player distributed the character's stats.

"Some articles said that if we choose a full STR attribute at the beginning, we will become a full brute beast-like appearance. But it still unknown if we choose DEX or INT."

The video still played, and the lengthy explanation also continued.

"It only shows if we spread the attribute point fairly, we will become more human by just a few animal features. As shown, we'll only have a dog ear. It also still unknown about a different race of Beastkin would be given another different racial skill." Berdian added.

"Let's keep the racial skill a bit later. But it's also a nice point. Some articles said that we might spend a whole day creating a character, based on the previous game: '(Earth)'."

The video shifted to another clip.

"Even only with one race, that was a human, 'Player' could be spent up to an hour the fastest and about a half-day the longest only to create a character." Arie continued.

"And that's maybe the reason for WoS to make other races with a different way to customization. Human isn't available to customize. We'll keep our real-life appearance but cartoonized, in which all characters also have a cartoonish appearance." He showed the data of the 'Human race' analytic.

"For Elf, we will be able to choose a hair color besides a pointy hair change. It assumed that the hair color is limited only to silver, golden and dark. Based on the trailers." The data he showed had a silhouette of Elf with three different hair colors.

"And for the dwarf, we will also have a chance to choose a hair color, assumed red and brown. And height modified to be around 150cm. There is no other source about how our 'real-life' will affects our in-game dwarf height," Arie explained with a video and photos of a Dwarf's character.

"And you want to be a dwarf? I can't imagine you but 150 cm tall and has thick facial hair." Viro complained.

"It still unknown if we can remove the facial hair, though. It might be a default appearance that can still be customized. And also one more, we will always keep our facial feature as a base, even for a Beastkin." Arie answered.

"For me, I might choose a human, because it is the only race showed with a racial skill. There is a chance that the other races have no racial skills." Berdian gave out his opinion.

"And if the others have?" Viro asked.

"Then, I might spend some more time choosing a race," Berdian answered with a chuckle.

"Hmm, but.. Human racial skill, 'increase drop rate', and 'increase exp rate'. Will it heavily impact our gameplay?"

Arie asked while showing a clip of a highlight of the Human race with racial skills mentioned below the word 'Human'.

"It might be different if the 'increase exp rate' actually gives the advantage for a Lvl rivalry in the leaderboard. It will be weird if the Lvl leader in the leaderboard only consists of a single race."

Harden answered while brought another two bowls of 'mainstream noodles' out of the staff room and gave them to Berdian and Viro.

"I'll choose the Beastkin. A heavy main tank build." He added.

"But you just said that you want to become a chef. Not joining the frontline." Berdian complained, and Harden only shrugged.

"I'll choose either Dwarf or Human. So there is a possibility that four of us will have a composition with three humans and one beast. It seems off." Arie added.

"Take a note that I will choose another race if they have racial skills each. High chance of choosing an Elf." Berdian added.

"But why are we discussing the 'three humans and one beast' composition." Viro asked while emphasized the 'words'.

Berdian and Harden looked at each other and chuckled.

"Well, I want to discuss it for the latest. So, let's continue with the plan." Arie avoided the question and moved on.

"The next is classes, adventurer classes, and civilian classes. The important highlight I want to mention is that the civilian can accompany the adventurer in combat." He showed a clip of a man repairing a weapon and a chef cooking a dish for the adventurer.

"But, it could be an adventurer who has a civilian class tho," Viro argued.

"There is that possibility. But in this clip, it showed that the blacksmith and the chef do not join in a battle. So it is assumed that they are focused on civilian classes."

Arie answered while changing the clip to a battle that happens with a party consists of 4 people. 1 Human, 1 Elf, 1 Dwarf, and 1 Beastkin with wolf appearance. With Dwarf blacksmith and 1 Human chef hid behind a big-boulder.

"The information regarding civilian classes isn't much shown in the trailers nor articles. The information we got is that there are Blacksmith, Chef, Miner, Gardener." Berdian added. "But it still an assumption that there are a lot of other classes in the game need to be explored."

"Okay, next is adventurer classes. The previous game only introduced five base classes. Warrior, Assassin, Archer, Mage, and Cleric." Arie showed Viro his tablet with a picture of the classes mentioned.

A man had armor equipped in his body and a sword held in his two hands, charged at a huge-sized 'Golem' that threw a punch in his direction.

There was another female Player who held a bow with her left hand and drew an arrow with her right hand, aimed it straight at the 'Golem'.

The other was a female Mage throwing a fireball cast by her staff.

A male Player lifted his wand up high, with a 'shining light' came out from it.

And an assassin with a dagger ready to strike, aimed at the golem from its back.

"This is the base class in the late game we play as our own specialty, called a Specialize Class. Harden right there played a 'Greatsword-Knight', a specialized class of Warrior. Berdian was an Archer, and he was not taking a 'Specialized character'." Arie explained to Viro.

"Hm? Why did you not picking a specialized character?" Viro asked Berdian.

"Because why should I?" Berdian asked back.

"Berdian is the 'common in a not common environment'. " Arie answered. "He is the only not specialized character in the leaderboard, and not only in our continent but the only one in the World."

"What the hell is that mean?" Viro asked in confusion with a frown on his face.

"Hm, it didn't mean anything. Don't need to be so confused." Berdian shrugged.

"And this is 'Insignifikant', one of the 'Unique Legendary' class unlocked. A 'Shadow Paladin' able to become a tank, able to sneak attack, can also heal and having a long-range AoE crowd control." Harden said while patting Arie's back.

"I've heard that. It assumed that there are a lot of 'unique legendary' class players but didn't manage to the leaderboard because the resources needed were so high." Viro said.

"It also assumed that there isn't that many. Because the requirement was so hard to unlock that 'Unique Legendary Class', and another thing to note was luck." Berdian added.

"The famous 'Unique Legendary' class was this 'Shadow Paladin, Insignifikant' from our continent.

"And the other was 'Lightning Empress, flodina', Rank 3 PvE from northern continent, Arsha. Her class was named 'Lightning Hazard'. But she unlocked another legendary title and became more famous as a 'Lightning Empress'." Harden said.

"Those were famous simply because they were in the top 10." Arie shrugged.

"And one of 'those' was you," Berdian added.

"It's not important now. It's all just a picture so that Viro knows about the past game. Let's now discuss the information we got for '-Path-'." Arie said.

"The game introduced three different paths with each respective basic class. It is called 'Path of Fervor', a Warrior. 'Path of Impetus', a Ranger, and 'Path of Mana', a Mystic. Like what we saw, Ar already showed us the previous five classes. Assassin and Archer are now a branch of the base class, Ranger. Mage and Cleric become a branch of Mystic. While the Warrior still becomes a base class." Berdian explained.

"If we decide to play on the 'frontline'. Us three will have a composition of me as a Cleric, playing a supportive role. Berdian as an Archer, our main DPS. And Harden is our 'Main Tank'. How about you?" Arie asked Viro.

"I wanna be a DPS class too. So it might be an Assassin, Archer, or Mage. So between Ranger or Mystic." Viro answered.

"Okay, it doesn't matter for the base class. Since I'm pretty sure the Archer's or Assassin's split up will need some Lv to look up for." Arie said.

"We can also try all of the different branch classes in the character creation section. So keep it in your mind, Vi. Also, since we got a weapon class at the beginning, you might want to choose either a dagger or a bow in the beginning."

"Sure, got it." Viro responded.

"Okay, let's move on to the last part. First, there is a rumor where

'They' will be implementing a Guild Feature. Even Viro heard that." Arie said as Viro nodded.

"There is no official mention of the Guild Feature. But it's assumed that there will be. Well, it is the most requested feature. '(Earth)' do not have a guild feature, and happened to have an unofficial guild feature because it was the most demanded feature."

He showed another data for a detailed explanation.

"But it was only a guild chat feature outside the game. So it is a good assumption that 'They' will create it this time. And it might connect to the interview from WoS yesterday." Berdian explained.

"Yeah, the 'Easter Egg' feature," Arie said.
